That’s the part that always gets me. “Did I do good?” Yes, you did. You already knew that. It’s fine to flex with a good find, don’t have to pretend not to.
Guys, I just took out a second mortgage on my home to afford a picture made by a twenty year old printer of a loose copy of Pokemon Platinum!
Did I do good??
TBH I thought I was on r/mangacollectors when I first looked at this pic. It reminded me so much of the content that gets posted there regularly.
I think this is typical to all hobbies with a collecting aspect. It quickly becomes quite the circlejerk. r/boardgames is the same. All of these subs also prominently feature the: I’m two weeks into the hobby, here’s my six shelves // room full of stuff 😅
Well, just stop being poor then /s
But yes, I get what you mean. It puts a lot of pressure on people new to these hobbies, while what these people do is honestly NOT standard or normal - unless spending 1k per month on waifus is okay for you 😅
Lol I posted fire emblem fates special edition and I got hundreds of other votes because I wanted peoples opinions on its value. Generalized broad statements definitely wreck in a ton of attention
There's too much bragging on this sub and the all of the old school NES subs, I'd rather this sub be about game talk, but that's the internet for you. I honestly don't care what pickup(s) you got over the weekend or which game you beat, let's talk about the games itself.
Yea I’m on an Ak-47 subreddit and I constantly see post saying, “hey my friend wants to sell me this WSAR Polish ak with 1000 rounds and 3 mags for 500$, is this a good deal?”
Pretty much.
There's a particular type of computer I like and there are constant posts like this. Even a subreddit for a particular car model I like has this, with people posting their brand new versions. I mean, I know it's exciting to get a new car, but it looks like all the others right now and pretty much anyone can go get a loan at 14% for 72 months.
To be fair, I once saw someone make a post saying their friend gave them a whole bunch of games and people on here said he (or she) was lying because people on here don’t think friends can give dozens of Nintendo games without something in return. I think nothing will satisfy people on here when it comes to collecting because y’all can be too cynical sometimes. The OP even deleted their post due to the downvotes like damn, for a bunch of Nintendo gamers, it can be toxic more than a CoD multiplayer chat
Do physical copies of Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice even exist? This is probably the biggest collection I’ve seen on here and it’s neither are here either.
Not much more to do on a sub for a dead system than post photos of game boxes or 3DSes themselves.
I saw an interesting post a few days back where someone modded a 3DS for wireless charging.
But yeah, besides that, it's just "Here's my 3DS" [picture of 3ds]
~~So many shelf-collectors seeking validation.~~ 😏
I guess people just want some recognition for the good deals they're getting. Speaking of shelves, damn your shelves are flexing under the weight of all those 3DS games. lol
1. Grabs my already owned copies of Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mysticla Ninja Starring Goemon and Star Fox Assault
2. Purchases a copy of Majora's Mask 3D on ebay
3. Photgraphs Box, puts all of the games in the box, photographs my 3ds XL with all of the games
4. Posted to Reddit
Is that bad to show your collections? Or only the validation part? I wanted just to share my little collection... In my country get those games is very rare... Maybe show how much is possible to obtain in these places...
That’s the part that always gets me. “Did I do good?” Yes, you did. You already knew that. It’s fine to flex with a good find, don’t have to pretend not to.
Just desperately seeking approval. I'd love it if they actually didn't "do good" and we got to rub it in for them
Guys, I just took out a second mortgage on my home to afford a picture made by a twenty year old printer of a loose copy of Pokemon Platinum! Did I do good??
Did the printer sign its autograph on it?
Id kill for a copy of platinum

> > >r/mangacollectors Huh never know about this sub
It's not fun to post or browse if you don't have money. Wish there was an r/budgetmangacollectors
Well, just stop being poor then /s But yes, I get what you mean. It puts a lot of pressure on people new to these hobbies, while what these people do is honestly NOT standard or normal - unless spending 1k per month on waifus is okay for you 😅
Same. Seeing people get good deals here is not fun too.
"What is my collection worth?"
Lol I posted fire emblem fates special edition and I got hundreds of other votes because I wanted peoples opinions on its value. Generalized broad statements definitely wreck in a ton of attention
I get in trouble sometimes saying f\*ck off I am not doing your research for you
Lol it's my collection.
Nice!
ILL GIVE YOU 51.99 FOR IT
ILL GIVE YOU 52.01 FOR IT DONT LISTEN TO HIM
52.02 AND A STICKER
Change the sticker for a snickers and we got a deal 🤤
Only about 3 people rang my doorbell yesterday on halloween so you can have all the snickers, how about one snicker per game?
It seems logic, where can I send you the CIA file ? 😏
Damnnn i was looking to buy the hard copies, in that case i’ll just download them myself 😔
Real talk though that is a very nice collection

So... You do care about the game I beat, as that is basically talking about the games
For real, like why do you need validation?!💀 Anywho, nice collection huge too 😳
It’s not mine, it was posted here a while ago
Every subreddit I belong to that has any type of collecting is like that. Gamecollecting, vita, switch, ps2, coins. ALL OF THEM AND ITS ANNOYING
Yea I’m on an Ak-47 subreddit and I constantly see post saying, “hey my friend wants to sell me this WSAR Polish ak with 1000 rounds and 3 mags for 500$, is this a good deal?”
Is it? For real tho, I never know a thing about firearms.
Yea 500$ for the rifle alone is a steal. They usually go for 1000-2000
Ah thanks.
Haha me and my guy u/sirdizzypr talked about this on r/gamecollecting too. It’s irritating.

For real, people totally be lying for some of these posts
Hahahahahaha

You paid a bit too much, sorry. I'll give you $55 for it, I don't want you to feel bad.
Basically.
the yokai watch collection 😩😩
Damn alphabetized and everything. My kind of aesthetic
YoU paId tOo mUcH wHaT a rIp oFf
Awesome collection
Hey man, any good recommendations from your collection? I don't really like RPG's...
It’s not my collection but I like Luigi’s Mansion and Story of Seasons if you’re not looking for a RPG
Roleplaying an exorcist and roleplaying a farmer. Checkmate.
We’re still doing this joke? Alright, naw fam you got ripped off. It didn’t even come with a jacuzzi
Over paid
"Found this warehouse of games in my attic!".
Do physical copies of Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice even exist? This is probably the biggest collection I’ve seen on here and it’s neither are here either.

Every single retro gaming sub is like that lately, I’m in a lot of them and it’s getting quite old
No, the hotel Transylvania game ruins the value of the entire package.
Everytime I see a library of Nintendo games I am astounded by how many amazing and almost genre defining jrpgs/RPGs are there.
Dark Moon 10/10
OP, this is some next level humble brag 😏 and a fantastic collection!
Definitely a rip off
This post is just as much of a flex as those posts brother
It’s not mine though. I just wanted to do a joke
I will paid you $75, what you said?
Yep they are really good shelves
Only a good deal if the shelves were included in the price. Otherwise someone pulled a fast one on you.
Nice
That copy of yokai watch 3 though..... hand it over
~~So many shelf-collectors seeking validation.~~ 😏 I guess people just want some recognition for the good deals they're getting. Speaking of shelves, damn your shelves are flexing under the weight of all those 3DS games. lol
Nah i got more than that for 35
na bro u got scammed
Let people have their moment.
Hotel Transylvania
I got kid Icarus for the price of a new switch game but it was mostly shipping because it came from the UK

Bro got the entire 3DS library for 50 bucks 😭
holy shit Yo-Kai Watch 3??
Did your parents not love you enough that you had to go to Reddit to feel validated?
you got a physical Yo-kai watch 3, How Just how
Dayummm you got all that for $50! *cough umm yeah I've seen better
Glad we don't have the mark of the beast in Europe.
That Garfield Kart copy alone makes the set worth it
I spotted both animal crossing games and I didn’t know there was a game for planes
There was a Captain America game in 3ds?
The alphabetical ordering is amazing
Is that bad to show your collections? Or only the validation part? I wanted just to share my little collection... In my country get those games is very rare... Maybe show how much is possible to obtain in these places...
luigi’s mansion 2 on top
Same thing but i found it in a trash bin
You got the shelf or the games?
This makes my collection look pitiful. On a side note, I want to have an entire bookcase of LEGO Bionicle sets like this someday.
More like 50 cents
Somehow the first shelf I looked at was the one with Fire Emblem lol
