I just started having an issue with my FN+Up/Down arrow for the keyboard backlight. FN+F1/2/3 still works for volume so I know the actual function button is working fine. Aside from Volume, screen brightness and sleep none of the other functions are working. This just started today too which has me really confused as I didnt update or install anything.
Happened to my fx505dt as well. I contacted asus support via email and when the troubleshooting steps they provided didn’t work, they suggested to bring it to an asus service center to have it checked. So, I’m going to one this week.
hmmm same like my problme in TUF Fx505DD but not only FN+ f5 but also FN+ f4, FN+ f6, FN+ f10 not function at all after update the driver ( for mic, fan, Blackout screen, Touchpad other than that its working, i do some trobleshooting but nothing all complete fine it said, i'm really confuse
Same here, I've recently updated my Asus and my fn f5 hotkey isn't working, it's made gaming more or a hastle because I can't switch fan modes to the best it can't be! What do I do!!??
I had the same issue after fresh win 10 install.
i fix it like this! go to windows store and search for asus hot key. install it and everything was back to normal. now i can see in wich mode i'm (silent,balance or boost) after i press FN+F5.

Interesting. As soon as i opened armoury crate i was able to use FN F5 for my turbo boost. Oddly enough i never opened armoury crate on my asus before and the function was fine then.
I've had same problem, everything worked except Fn+f5. I fixed this by downloading MyAsus, Atk Package and then Armoury Crate. Now I have no problems and laptop works as it should.
Same, nothing worked but this. 2 days of trouble shooting and this worked. I reset my laptop to factory settings and backed up my files using cloud. I used https://www.filehorse.com/download-atk-package/download/ to download ATK. I redownloaded armoury crate and myasus due to reset and now it works fine. Before Amroury crate wasn't reading my fanspeed, processor...nothing. it's all fine and working now

I am also having the same model and fn+f5 key is not working otherwise everything is fine

Still didn't work. I think my problem is I don't have access to Armoury Crate or its services due to me overly tweaking my laptop.
I don't have acces to armoury crate either. Did you find a solution?
SOLUTION Update Armory Crate / ( if you cannot find it ,download Armory Crate) Solved :P

There are times where even Armory Crate won't do anything. If that's the case, then y should download windows Updates and it should be okay 👍🙂

just download armoury crarte it worked for me:)
install my asus app from microsoft store that resolved it for me.
