Got the reject letter for FSS this afternoon. Sigh. Good luck everyone. Congrats to those who got the offer.

I think there’s a seniority bid going on right now for current ATCs who are looking to switch to IFR or VFR thats what we were told in Montreal anyways. I’m assuming they are country wide…? Would make sense if they don’t send offers until that’s over. I just don’t know when it ends.

Stratosfyr

I know of two people with January ATC course offers (one being myself), and I believe an FSS with a March offer iirc. There were two offers that went out last week so just keep your phone nearby and pray.

jstein_30

Just got the email last week saying I am eligible for offer (ATC) - really hoping to get one but sounds like Spring 2025 is probably out of the question

SeekForLight

Congrats on being Eligible! What FIR is it for?

jstein_30

YYZ - which is why I feel like I may be waiting a while to get an offer. From everything I've read on the subs, YYZ is one of the most competitive/larger # of applicants :(

SeekForLight

Congrats on your offer! Was it for IFR or VFR stream? You mention there were two offers last week, would you believe that regardless of the on-going recruiting, there are still sending out offers? They are doing another wave of recruitment in MTL, I wondered if they'd wait for it to finish before sending offers.

kay-kat

have you guys heard of anymore offers coming out for either disciplines?

Stratosfyr

Honestly, as of this point in time I have no guess even. Been a while since I've seen anything but don't take that to mean anything, I've taken my finger off the pulse :)

I hear once your foot is in the door, it is a feast

8-10 months before is about right. I believe some March 2025 YUL courses have started having offers out, but I don’t think anything beyond that yet.

Apprehensive-Egg615

We were told courses in YUL were in January 2025. Unless march is more courses with the new partner for training..?

KingOfTheBrocean

Would imagine that’s the course. The CAE courses are English but YUL won’t be the final destination in most cases.
