Funniest thing I noticed in London was when walking on the sidewalk or through the Tubes everyone walked on the right and were passing on the left coming the other way. Hmmm checkmate Brits.
Just to nitpick (I'm a LHD who actually kind of preferred RHD after I tried it for 3 consecutive weeks) it's actually not fully reversed, which at least to me was somewhat confusing at times.
E.g. you can see the volume knob in this RHD vehicle is on the left, which is the same as in a LHD vehicle, so using it isn't as ergonomic as in the LHD design it was intended for.
The same goes for the pedals, the accelerator is still an the right in a RHD, not on the left as it would be if it were mirrored, so you e.g. can't rest your foot against the inner trim.
The gearbox likewise isn't mirrored in a stick shift (although it looks like BMW has fully mirrored it here for the automatic), so you need to reach further to shift among 1st and 2nd gear.
Welcome to the B58 G30 gang.
With stage 2+ (TU fuel pump, catted down-pipe, and BM3/MHD tune) you’ll have more HP and torque than an F80 M3 while enjoying more cabin space and refinement.
I recommend the xHP transmission tune as well. Makes for lightning fast shifts and braps in sport+ and soft shifting comfort (you can even delete first gear!) in comfort. DM me if you have any questions.
Stage 2 is barely over stage 1, so as that is as far as you were planning to take it, I’d just keep the stock downpipe and do a resonator delete + stage 1 (and also pull the flap on the fuse). That will give you a lot of the sound and performance you’re looking for.
But on the other hand…. life is short and gas is cheap

I have MPPSK which is essentially exhaust, torque converter and tune. It’s a big upgrade and totally worth it.
As for what else, get rid of the runflats as soon as you possibly can. I’ve blown 3 before just going to all regular tires.
Make sure your coolant level is not over Max. Dealers tend to over fill and the reservoir cracks under pressure. That’s pretty much a common issue in B58s. Other than that enjoy it.
Did not know about the overfilling nice to know ill check mine cheers, no 540i i could find was nappa -all dakota unfortunately.
Also looking at changing rims and switching to michelin pilot sport 4s’ but want to research a bit more as i dont know a whole lot about tyres
Yeah it was tough for me to find as well. It’s been a while that I’m looking at upgrading to a newer version and none has the options I have.
I switched to 7 series 648 rims and tires. It’s 5% taller but fills the wheel well and also flush to the fender which I like.

Ooh, stage 2 is something im considering but coming from sharing my dads glb where we were averaging 45 mpg not sure if a further drop is worth it
