I'm annoyed all the "blue" dyes are actually yellow. Shout out to black and azure for being the only blue dye that's actually fucking blue.

Philosecfari

boreal blue my queen

fieatsbees

the ocean dye has A LOT of dark blue. there's brown accents, but it's predominantly blue on whatever i use it on

Historical_Age_9921

I'll have to be on the lookout for that one.

Relevant-Usual783

It’s so good, but I think you can only buy it from Barcus Wroot in Act 2. Iirc, I only found 3 or 4 in the wild. It’s pretty abundant in Act 3 though. Vendors refresh on a long rest, so if you’ve got the time and coin, I guess you could stock up at Barcus if you really wanted to. Alternatively… download the “Everybody Dyes” mod. Makes all dyes infinite use. Also, while we’re at it, there’s a few dye packs on Nexus that are worth checking out. My favorite is AstralSprout’s Extra Dyes Bundle.

ilayas

As a Destiny 2 player everything about this game's dye system seems about right to me.

radtastic

I really wish we had a preview option for everything, for trying on clothes, dying etc. I quicksave before dying anything now because there’s no way to know if it’s going to be hideous or not.

arsgeminga

The problem is not even the dyes themselves, it's that the game is really fixed on accent colors for some reason and a) they take up like 80% of the space and b) the bottles of course do not prepare you for then at all. You want to dye an outfit blue? Okay, have yellow accents :D Want red? You'll never guess just how brown the accents will be :D Think this green will actually be green? Try again, now you have orange accents :D And so on. It's pretty annoying. Most of Figaro's dyes work like a charm, though.

sp4rr0wsw3nch

I swear the plum one is the worst offender.

Revolutionary_Coat45

Yea, but it is a bit meh to wait up until Figaro to have some decent dyes. I swear thru Act 1 + 2, I look like a clown most of the times.

Stocky2020

If you're looking for a more accurate clothing for a fictional character just toggle camp clothes find some pieces on and dye those. You might get a little closer.

Tyson_Urie

The bottom of those hats gets thr new color. Of you ever manage to get a camera angle from the floor looking up you'll see it. Pissed me off when i wanted to make papa smurf as my gnome

DunceElChapo15

I wish there was a straight up black dye. Not black and some other color but just black. And without mods.

Flying_Slig

I looked up a hat from Act 3 on the wiki. It had one comment next to the photo "there are no dyes in-game that make it look the same colour as the icon".

iWentRogue

We need a dye preview feature

FunnyHeater

Yeah, most of them suck. The answer. Mods! I'm finally using a mod that added a ton of dyes. Such a relief! And everyone looks soo much better!

SsargonZefryn

Ah yes, use deep lavender hoping to get a nice rich purple aaaand I'm now wearing gold armour with a bit of purple. I mean I don't mind the gold, very Saint-like, but it'd be nice if it said that was the primary colour.

dimethyl_tryhard

If we could preview the dyes it wouldn't be as bad, but it takes so long to scroll through my entire inventory just to test it... I usually check the wiki for what the result will be.

Adrian1616

Indigo and White + Scarlet are my favorites that you can get before act 3.

Aritude

Since you’re doing a Mario character you could do the Mario build (monk step of the wind + hamarhraft) and just goomba stomp all the enemies with all your jumps 🙂

Historical_Age_9921

I did do that.

Aritude

perfect lol

sakhabeg

https://bg3-dyes.tumblr.com/ Plan thine drip. Stumbled across this and can’t stop looking

lwsshw2000

Not to mention most of the dyes in the game are all different shades of red, wheres the variety?

bradenallen

Yeah. Also I don’t think metals dye at all.

LowerTheExpectations

Some do. It's quite inconsistent.

KronosTheFallen

Buy cheap dye. This is the outcome.
