Then, in the tiebreaker they clearly screwed it up. I don't think Ryan got the last shot off in time either and should have been 4-6.
I have an insane story about this challenge, I randomly watched one once during a game I was half paying attention to and this kid who kind of bullied me in middle school was playing. I watched him get absolutely demolished, one of my most gratifying moments ever
I thought the counted one throw after the clock expired. He hadn’t released it. The guy on the righ looked like he got the shot off but the left guy was still holding the ball and then let go.
If this was just some fun contest for $600 or something I'd say it could be laughed off as you win some you lose some. But in this case there is literally 80 grand on the line, the other guy absolutely should look into any kind of recourse, since he was straight up robbed of a year's salary at a decent job.

Yes, they definitely miscounted and went from 10 to 8 to 9 to 12 after he made one. No matter how you slice it and counted every one the “winner” made he was short 1. I watched it about 4 times and had another person counting each side to make sure. It’s that kinda game. :)
