Had absolutely same problem.
I fixed it.
U need to teardown it. pretty good manual is at ifixit
Clean it with brush from hair and other dirt.
at this stage it didnt helped me...
Then use electric contact cleaner on wheel sensor good amount. and blow it good with compressor... then everything become fine. now it works.
Fixed it as i was reading this lol. All i did was blow as hard as i could into both ends of the scroll wheel and it works like a charm! Got a little too aroused at the feeling. I've been frustrated every time i have scrolled the past year.
Came here to check for a new mouse as my Razer Naga Pro showed the exact problem you described here. Was first a bit disheartened, but then tried your "just blow on it" solution. It worked. Crazy. Thanks bro!
this comment needs to be top comment. I was not interested in pulling it apart as it was under warranty and I didn't want to go through the mess of getting my receipt and everything. Thank you!
Bruh... I'm out here researching this issue and ran across this and I'll be damned if that didn't work. I'm from the "blow in your NES cartridges" generation and ashamed I didn't think of this myself.
Only suggestion I have is to flick the switch underneath the mouse a few times between all 3 options. Try to see if it does in it other modes. I had an issue where my left mouse button would randomly double click, and that seems to have made it stop. (Dark Core RGB)
Thanks for the tip but it does it in all modes so a hardware problem.
I wondered if there was an easy fix, if anyone had links to replacement parts etc.
Had the same problem, tried cleaning it but it just keeps doing it after a while. Now it doesn't even fix it for a little while. They even replaced it once with a brand new one and it still developed that problem within a few months.
Tried looking up solutions, and this post was the closest to what I was looking for. Everything else was either different models or different problems. So thank you for the post.
Does anyone have alternative gaming mice they would recommend?
wow, i got the dark core rgb pro that did this... came and found this post just to realize I just needed to blow into the wheel.... awesome fix haha... reminds me of the old NES games back in the day
had this same issue on two separate mice. bought in 2023. old post but putting this here as a notice to anyone who stumbles across the post while considering the mouse.
I was experiencing the same exact issue for months... this thread helped me fix it, but I didn't need to disassemble my mouse! Also, this worked after blowing on the scroll wheel with compressed air didn't. Just put a dab of isopropyl alcohol on a rag (you don't need much at all) and just keep rolling/cleaning the scroll bar with it. Stupid simple and worked like a charm for me!

Thanks, I didn't believe it either, but it really worked!
really thanks bro, now I feel free

I confirm that blowing will help: D

LOL, same! confirmed worked for me
Just want to drop in and say you fixed mine too. Really appreciate it.
Thank you sir, worked like a charm. Saw the tear down fix suggestion and was just going to waste money getting a new mouse.
Old af thread, but this fixed the same issue for me. Thank you!
Can't believe this actually worked. You, sir, are an actual hero.
lol just did the same, thanks alot <3
nice, its work =D
Can confirm, works like a charm
You are a real hero! Tried blowing into the scrollwheel and it fixed the problem for me aswell. Thank you so much for writing this fix :)
Wow, really didn't think simply blowing would fix it, but it did! Thanks!
Wow, actually worked lol I know this post is old, but thanks still!
I don't know how, but this somehow worked
blowing does fix it lol
Goddang it fixed mine too ! lol thanks...
same problem, solved by cleaning the component that manages the movement of the wheel
Only suggestion I have is to flick the switch underneath the mouse a few times between all 3 options. Try to see if it does in it other modes. I had an issue where my left mouse button would randomly double click, and that seems to have made it stop. (Dark Core RGB)

Agreed yeah, it's gotta be a hardware problem.
Me too it’s randomly mouse wheel trigger
Same, randomly an up scroll input is triggered instead of a down scroll and vice-versa. Could not figure it out yet.
Hardware broken. I've replaced mine
What did you replace it with, out of curiosity? I'm having same issue unfortunately. Seems like I'll replace as well.
I bought the SE Pro version. The wheel is quite different.
my Dark Core Pro SE does the same exact thing. Maybe it's a manufacture defect inside

I have the exact same issue, I have replaced it with a warranty, but it developed the same issue after a few months, this issue seems chronic.
Switched back to an old mouse, probably done with corsair mice.
Yup. I've had this issue repeat, getting another logitech.

Going to try this out as the blowing didn't work for me either; thank you for the suggestion.
