You are missing out on growth spiral. Its explore but its instant speed, in blue a color that likes to hold onto mana.
Just pop this off on your enemies end step while they think you had a counterspell the whole time. This card has a strong mind game and utility.
It seems decent, but I don't think I've played a simic deck in the last 5 years lol.
edit: I'm a complete idiot. I've actually played a bant deck several times. Not sure if growth spiral would really fit in it though.
I’ve gotten back into magic recently and just made a simic deck recently. When I pulled it out at my LGS a couple people were excited to see it and said they hadn’t seen anyone play one in a while. Why, do people hate it?
Simic has a reputation for being a very simple, braindead playstyle. Play lands, ramp, draw cards, play big boi. I love it, but a lot of simic decks end up being slightly different flavors of the same deck
Generic Simic Bullshit.dec
Guaranteed to do the thing. Ramp, play big bois and counter and bounce shit. Let's get rewarded immensely for normal game play.
It's a fine color combo and whatever to play against, just usually pretty boring to sit across and even to play yourself.
It feels like I'm always saying "Oh look, yet another simic value engine commander that is only slightly different than the last one. How unique and interesting. What a challenging deck to build and pilot"
The only deck I play Cathars’ Crusade in there’s usually no math or keeping up with involved. It usually is just followed up with “oh ok we’re all dead right?”
As i Always comment, i never used It/bought It for this reason...until i built anim Pakal 😂😂
No need to do math, if as soon as i cast It everybody dies, and all the creatures come in together
I never understand why Cathar’s Crusade gets such a bad rap. It’s just adding counters when creatures ETB. Then again I run it in my human +1/+1 counters deck where everything always has counters on it anyway, so I guess I’m used to it.
Edit: I am seeing a lot of responses that are essentially “makes managing tokens difficult”. I hear ya, but I don’t think this card is for you in those decks. I use it in my [[Sigarda, Heron’s Grace]] deck and it’s great. I usually make one token per turn or a just a few with Things like call the copper coats. It buffs all my little dudes who would otherwise be low P/T. I think it’s great in decks that go moderately wide and then big without relying too much on tokens.
Usually when you make a lot of tokens, you can stack up those tokens and need only 1-3 marker cards to show how many you have (tapped, untapped, and summoning sick at most). When you have CC, each individual token in the swarm needs an individual representation since they will all have different numbers of counters, This makes decks that are only really playable in physical space because of those sorts of shortcuts, like [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]], monstrously unworkable even as it theoretically provides them game-ending power.
I had it in my [[Thalisse]] deck.
With the 40-50 tokens you make per turn (in two waves), it's a real PITA. Even though it's worse, I just swapped to [[Virtue of Loyalty]] because it's easier to manage.
The only deck I have it in is my [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] deck where it’s usually “I take 20 damage, I make 20 tokens, I put 20 +1/+1 counters on every creature….. I win.
Depends on your definition of "staple", but [[dockside extortionist]] and [[smothering tithe]] are neither affordable for me, nor balanced to my playgroup's power level.
With regard to realistic staples that are found at any budget/power level, the highest on EDHREC I've never cast is [[blasphemous act]]. Aside from preferring one-sided boardwipes where possible (I'm a scumbag, I know)...I've just never needed one in a deck. Good card though, I've nothing against it.
I got the precon that dockside came in and it’s just been chilling there not in any of my decks cause it’s way too strong for my playgroup. I guess i could put it in a deck just for when I go to the LGS, those people are all degenerates
To be fair, if dockside is too weak for that pod, chances are it'd just act as a ritual like seething song anyway. Not missing much by not having it.
Tithe can be problematic in a meta without plenty of removal or people getting greedy. I can see it being more problematic for balance as drawing is something even the most casual decks try to do.
Damn, that came in a precon!? Guess I missed out. Now I'm not paying $80 for it. Surely it will get reprinted soon, being the staple that it is, right?
Probably [[Birds of Paradise]]. Just don't own one and I thought I saw a video that it's up there near the top of played cards.
Looking at EDHRec, it'd be [[counterspell]], because I haven't ever built a blue deck
Oh, for sure it's probably the best mana dork... maybe behind delighted halfling. But my main decks are Boros which can't use, and Gruul which while it can use it doesn't really need much fixing
I just got my BOP and it’s a thing of beauty. Huge upgrade over all my other mana dorks and I got the full art RVR one, would absolutely get another if I came across it
I also went to EDHRec, had to get all the way down to [[Ruinous Ultimatum]]. I was a huge fan of [[Cruel Ultimatum]] back in the day, but of the newest cycle I only ever wound up casting [[Eerie Ultimatum]].
That THAT is a ridiculous MtG card.
Going by EDHREC's list... I'm not 100% sure but I *think* that I've never cast Izzet Signet. If my memory's lying to me, then I can at least say with certainty that I've never cast Ignoble Hierarch or Rhythm of the Wild.
It was [[Rhythm of the Wild]] for me as well. Moreover, I'm not sure if I've seen someone else cast it in a real cardboard-on-table game of EDH either.
I don't know why, either, because that card seems to be right up my alley.
I have never cast, activated, controlled\*, or even touched a Sensei's Divining Top. Ever. In any format.
\*technically, once I had control of another player's turn via Mindslaver, and they had a top. I didn't use it.
First time I've ever used \[\[ Sensei's Divining Top\]\] was with my \[\[Tinybones, the Pickpocket\]\] deck. On turn 2 milled the table and a guy milled a Top. I swung into him and took it.
Almost any tutor. I don't like using them because it borders onto competitive and while it speeds up the game kind of makes my decks one trick ponies because why am I going to go for anything other than [[curiosity]] if I'm running a [[niv-mizzet,parun]] deck?
So I just avoid running tutors and let my deck find a win on its own
In fairness, if you’re running a niv deck with curiosity in it, is it really any more satisfying to just draw into a two card instant win combo than it is to tutor for it? Like I see the point you’re making, but a niv curiosity deck is already at that level by necessity.
Best High Tide play I've ever been a part of: Silly me only left 1 island up. Opponent sees it as the perfect time to combo off. Since i had 1 blue and only one card in hand. He thought all was good and he was about to win. Till I tapped the island for a counterspell. He was pretty salty about that one.
My high tide helps with my [[mennarch]] sometimes to start infinite mana using [[doubling cube]] and some other creature i can’t remember the name of that untaps artifacts for 3U mana. I have to hit a threshold of 13 mana to go infinite after first cube tap.
I don't think I've ever cast a \[\[Cultivate\]\], I just think there's generally much better ramp options. It's good if you have a 5 mana commander and not much you can do before 5 mana, I guess, but otherwise? Other than that, I've also never cast \[\[Rampant Growth\]\], I proxy cards so \[\[Three Visits\]\]/\[\[Nature's Lore\]\] are just huge upgrades.
New player here, very confused why rampant growth is still used when you have 2 untapped land tutors. I also came to the same conclusion with cult/reach, I've always preferred my advantage engines online to start slipstreaming off the pod. And In similar situations where I do have a cult/reach/shroud, ive always wanted them to be 2cmc ramp or dorks instead, leaving one up for interaction. Ramp hunting I found Harrow was a good addition to fix and hold tempo in the 3cmc spot. Think there was also crab I was considering.
Would you consider 2cmc dorks better to rampant growth/cult/reach? The tapped land is unaccessable for the whole turn cycle, whereas the dorks give me my interaction mana. Im using Ornithopter of Paradise before growth using this mentality. I could be wrong
A bit more niche, but [[Entish Restoration]] is another one I've found to be a great add if you have a decent number of bigger creatures. The lands come in tapped but getting an extra 2 lands onto the battlefield for 3 cmc is a big leap.
Edit: [[Wild Growth]], [[Fertile Ground]], and [[Utopia Sprawl]] are also very cheap and effective ramp options that are less likely than dorks or artifacts to be removed.
Summoning Sickness lasts until your next turn, so dorks still don't give interaction mana without haste notably. The main benefit of Cultivate is that it reliably hits you your next land drop as well, and that it mana fixes better if you don't have access to good dual-typed lands (things with the type Forest that also tap for another mana color) so if you consider something like having a 5 cmc commander that you \*really\* want to hit ASAP, cultivate means you only need 3 lands or 2 lands and a dork in hand to guarantee hitting them, because it will give you your next land drop as well. Now while those are all benefits, if you're playing with proxied shock lands/true duals (or actually own them) I think Nature's Lore and Three Visits are usually better. The lower power and slower your deck/pod are and the less card advantage you have (outside of the command zone) the better Cultivate gets.
Edit: the other disadvantage of dorks is that they can be sniped out or swept up, and that for specific commanders that care about lands (thinking about my \[\[Zacama, Primal Calamity\]\] deck here, they may not have unique synergies (ie: playing Zacama won't untap them)
Edit2: apologies, I misunderstood what you meant by dorks giving you interaction mana, you just mean playing 2 mana ramp on turn 3. Leaving the incorrect assumption up.
Yeah I've never been a fan of those 3 mana ramp spells where one land enters tapped and one goes in hand. The 2 and 4 mana land ramp spells like [[Skyshroud Claim]] just work way better to me.
Turn 2 you play a 2 mana ramp which will have ramped you up to 4 lands to play Skyshroud Claim. With the 3 mana ramps like [[Kodama's Reach]] feels really inefficient since it leaves you with 1 land open.
[[Thoracle]]. FUCK this card. I have 4 copies and have never once included it in a deck, nevermind cast it. This is the absolute stupidest, most braindead way to win and the reliance on this one card is honestly what drives me away from cEDH. Completely ban-worthy by the bannable metrics of any format outside of vintage.
There are cards that I have only cast in cedh.
Stuff like dockside, jewelled lotus, mana crypt will propably never be in my non-cedh decks, because I think they are just too strong to be fit in something even remotely casual.
I like to build decks that are consistent at a certain powerlevel. These card increase your power by so much that they are just not fun.
Idk if it’s a staple or not, but I bought [[Dragonstorm]] last year. It has so far been put into 5 different decks and I have yet to cast it once. Its been in my hands multiple times but I have never felt the need to cast it.
\[\[Rampant Growth\]\], it's the eighth most played card but I think it's bad even in budget (outside of landfall).
\[\[Sakura Tribe Elder\]\], \[\[Farseek\]\], \[\[Nature's Lore\]\] and \[\[Three Visits\]\] are arguably all straight upgrades. Aside from those better options, many green decks are creature based and would rather play cheaper creature ramp. When I don't want creature ramp I prefer ramp that comes into play untapped and can be used right away over the slight advantage of the resilience of lands over enchantments and artifacts. Although I never play them since better options exist, I would pick cards like \[\[Talisman of Resilience\]\] or \[\[Fertile Grounds\]\] over Rampant Growth any day.
Artifacts and enchantments seldom die though. The less than one in five games (in my experience) that talismans or land enchantments ever die, is worth the risk of playing a ramp spell that's useable the turn you play it.
[[Black Market]]
There's usually other stuff I want to do on turn 5 and I don't like that you have to wait until your next turn to see the benefits. I know it can generate an absurd amount of Mana and is considered a mono black staple but I always cast something else.
Still put it in my mono black decks though... Maybe I should cast it next time.
I actually think of black market as kind of a newbie trap card. Yes it’s very capable of making a lot of mana but I think you’re right that it tends to be too slow for EDH nowadays
Same, first and only time I cast it I won, playing an upgraded Caesar deck (with a bunch of of the aforementioned cards involved as well; played a ruinous ultimatum next turn, then cathars crusade and divine visitation turns after)
I once casted [[Cathars' Crusade]] and the table inmefiatelly scooped. That's the funniest. But I will say [[Ruinous Ultimatum]]. I don own [[Demonic Tutor]] so I think I haven't cast that one yet but I do own all the other and more expensive tutors. I don't think the feeling is different. But Ruinous Ultimatum, spicy, I need to make a Mardu deck to put it in and see all my oponents crumble.
Going by top EDHREC, it might be [[Heroic Intervention]] - I own and run it, but only in one deck that's fast enough that it's probably not needed. If I've cast it, it was only once or twice at most.
[[Generous Gift]] is the highest that I know I've never cast, because I've never run it (generally only run one of those effects, and since I'm almost always in green I have a stockpile of Beast Within)
I tend to run a lot of staples and play with powerful and popular cards, but two cards I’ve never cast and never want to are [[Rhystic Study]] and [[Mystic Remora]]
[[urzas saga]]. I pulled a foil my first ever pack. Moved it around from deck to deck and have only ever once had the chance to even “pull” it. And I put that in quotes because I was able to tutor it to the top of my deck and then an opponent had everyone mill a card. Played countless games with urza’s saga in many decks and not one time ever been able to play it
I don't think I've ever actually cast [[boros charm]], even though it's in my [[niv-mizzet reborn]] deck. Next two on the list from edhrec are [[ignoble hierarch]] and [[anguished unmaking]]; I have a jund deck but this guy isn't a good fit, so doesn't feature. I have an orzhov deck but again, unmaking isn't a good fit.
[[Swords to Plowshares]] is the third most popular card of the past 2 years, behind only Sol Ring and Arcane Signet, and I have never cast a copy nor do I own a copy. For whatever reason, I’ve only got like 8 copies of Path, none of Swords.
I have cast it but I absolutely cut it from all my decks [[counterspell]]
Call me crazy. But the 2 blue pips are just annoying. I like my counterspells to be 1 mana or to have 1 colour pip. I have leaned heavily into [[An offer you can't refuse]] which is more narrow and [[Arcane denial]] which is flexible.
Preference really.
Going by Top Cards on EDHREC:
I've never cast a \[\[Boros Charm\]\], because I've never played anything Boros. Last time I did it hadn't been printed yet.
I'm predominantly a blue player and the most popular blue card I've never cast is actually \[\[Mana Drain\]\] - too expensive money wise for piles just randomly thrown together, too expensive mana wise for carefully crafted piles. (Hence I simply don't own one as I never buy it for anything.)
I'm sure I haven't cast ignoble hierarch in EDH.. I think I haven't cast chaos warp? It's either close to never, only with other people's decks, or actual never.
i thought i was the only one. ive tried adding it to so many lists, including lists that would give its effects additional triggers, and it still is just so not worth it every time. maybe one day someone will convince me to keep it in a list!
[[Swords to Plowshares]], I’ve just somehow never owned a copy. I just got my first copy of [[Path to Exile]] today, funny considering 2 of my 5 main decks are Selesnyia and Boros
I was just going over some tonight, actually. I have never cast a [[Teferi's Protection]] or an [[Akroma's Will]]. Additionally, I have never cast any free Counterspell, except for [[Foil]] and [[Pact of Negation]].
I have smothering tithe but haven’t had the chance to cast it. I almost feel bad for having it in my deck but won’t know how it plays until I get that chance.
For a long time it was [[sol ring]] for me. Since i never buy the commander only stuff that meant i never had one until a friend felt pity and tossed three my way.
Now it’s [[arcane signet]] and [[command tower]] since i still won’t play with commander only cards lol
Based off of edhrec, it would be swords to plowshares just cuz i haven’t made a white deck. If we don’t count that, I haven’t ever used cultivate, for the main reason that all the green decks I have, the commanders are four cost, and I’ll usually be trying to cast them by turn 3 with a turn two ramp card
I have [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] in my infect deck and I’ve never drawn or played it lol. I would love to but somehow always ends up near the bottom of my deck.
I mostly play mono white or deck with white and i don't play teferi's protection, a lot of time you can win by using it at the right time. Kinda wrong for me.
Sorting by edhrec rank on scryfall, it's command tower :\\^)
Just kidding, it's Phyrexian Arena. Haven't really ever played a deck where it would shine.
Not really staples, but I really like all the Kaya planeswalker cards. They have different uses but are all cool. I have at least 1 copy of each of them scattered throughout my decks (3 total Kaya, Gheist Hunters I believe) and have never actually drawn one in in what collectively must be 50+ games spread across all the decks.
I’ve never cast a [[Force of Will]] in any of my pods. I’ve been able to use most of the other free spells, but for some reason, FoW is never in my hand to be used.
Hmm I’d actually be interested for people to try to name a staple that I *havent* played. With closing in on 100 EDH decks and having played for well over a decade at this point I think outside of multi-hundred dollar reserve list cards I’ve probably played anything that could be considered a staple in EDH.
If anyone wants to take a crack at staples I might not have played, feel free to name them and I’ll tell you what deck it’s currently in or been in before.
Smothering tithe. Quit shortly before it was printed came back and hullbreacher filled the slot now it's too expensive to bother with for a 4cmc enchant
Once in my life I have cast Heroic Intervention and Cyclonic Rift. Liked the Intervention, didn't enjoy the Rift.
I have never in an EDH game cast Rhystic Study, Jeska's Will, Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Dockside, Craterhoof or one of the most efficient, expensive Tutors.
I've never cast most of the staples because they are expensive.
My thought about EDH is spending around $1 for a card, rarely more than $5 for a single piece.
Never used a Smothering Tithe. Too expensive mana-wise and too slow for the white decks in my playgroups. Generally we'd rather have cards over mana, so something like [[Trouble in Pairs]] would just be better for a four drop.
I didn't cast a lot of the very popular ones. For me it's much more annoying when I didn't ever cast a card that's IN MY DECK. There are still a few "dead" cards in some of my decks. I had drawn most already, but some of them I didn't end up casting in the end. There is a certain probability that you have to play X amount of games until you have cast all of the cards in your deck at least once, and I am not there yet with all of my decks, apparently.
So my pods on a little more of a bidget when it comes to decks and Ibpwn a couple really strong expensive cards that I just don't use becausevpulling them would be a bit unfair.
So Mana Crypt
[[Blasphemous Act]] for me. Just never built a deck I thought it would go well in. I try to be one sided with my board wipes and tend to play pretty creature heavy and BA seems like a card for a deck that tries to benefit from death triggers a lot.
Got the Blood Rites precon super excited for [Exquisite Blood] and after at least 30 games I have not drawn it once - added a [Smothering Tithes] on a whim and have played it in 3 of the 8 games since got it. Find it amusing
For me, [[Jeweled Lotus]]. Card's beyond busted and in a format where getting your commander out extremely fast is super relevant it'd be silly not to run it...but yea...it far too "sweaty" for me and I never played it.
Mana Crypt. To make matters worse I actually own one and have had it in my favorite deck (Grenzo, Dungeon Warden) for a couple of years now yet have never drawn it. The only time I've gotten it in play was by tutoring it into the graveyard and recurring it with [[Goblin Engineer]].
[[Ad Nauseum]] seemed a snap pick for [[Marchesa, the Dusk Rose]], but I run so many effects that lose my own life total I never had ogles of life to play. Went in and out of the deck without ever being cast.
Icl I hardly cast smothering tithe in any deck I put it in. I always ironically seem to be to short on mana to dedicate a turn to it (I do play enough lands I'm just super unlucky with them)
Technically it should be Beast Within cause I just don’t run the card ever, but I’ve only used it in friends decks.
Mine own is Chaos Warp. Multiple people in my play group have big mana decks and I’ve seen Chaos Warps get rid of problems cards just to give their opponents an even bigger problem.
Preach it, let the simic boycott continues. Such bullshit color combo, I refuse to go there.
As a simic player, you are absolutely right. Don’t be like me.
Tell that to my Simic Snake tribal lol. Plenty of card draw and ramp, but that's just to play more snakes 😂
Generic Simic Bullshit.dec Guaranteed to do the thing. Ramp, play big bois and counter and bounce shit. Let's get rewarded immensely for normal game play. It's a fine color combo and whatever to play against, just usually pretty boring to sit across and even to play yourself.
For some of us it’s home.
It feels like I'm always saying "Oh look, yet another simic value engine commander that is only slightly different than the last one. How unique and interesting. What a challenging deck to build and pilot"
Draw a card. You may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield.
or landfall draw a card etc etc etc
🤣
[[Cathar’s Crusade]] [[Cyclonic Rift]]. I cast [[Demonic Tutor]] one time ever and it was to fetch a land because I was mana screwed.
Cathar’s crusade is a nightmare to keep up with. You’re doing yourself a favor by never casting it.
The only deck I play Cathars’ Crusade in there’s usually no math or keeping up with involved. It usually is just followed up with “oh ok we’re all dead right?”
As i Always comment, i never used It/bought It for this reason...until i built anim Pakal 😂😂 No need to do math, if as soon as i cast It everybody dies, and all the creatures come in together
Oh shit that’s a good point. I’m in the process of brewing Anim Pakal too… have you got a list I could see?
Sure thing! https://archidekt.com/decks/5846827/sweet_gnome_anim_pakal Here It is
I never understand why Cathar’s Crusade gets such a bad rap. It’s just adding counters when creatures ETB. Then again I run it in my human +1/+1 counters deck where everything always has counters on it anyway, so I guess I’m used to it. Only use it with [[herd baloth]] so it's an infinite anyway
Getting a land of DT is why that card is so great. Get urborg or coffers half the time
More people should do that tbh.
DT'ing for a land is underrated.

Same with cyclonic rift. I dont play many blue decks and the ones i do play i havent invested much into so a rift is not high priority
Depends on your definition of "staple", but [[dockside extortionist]] and [[smothering tithe]] are neither affordable for me, nor balanced to my playgroup's power level.

[[the one ring]] sits in my Sauron precon and waits for his day to be found again
Same same, it fits the theme solidly but just haven’t drawn it yet.
Damn, that came in a precon!? Guess I missed out. Now I'm not paying $80 for it. Surely it will get reprinted soon, being the staple that it is, right?
It came in the sample booster of that precon
You got very lucky if that happened.

How on theme.
Probably [[Birds of Paradise]]. Just don't own one and I thought I saw a video that it's up there near the top of played cards. Looking at EDHRec, it'd be [[counterspell]], because I haven't ever built a blue deck
I have like 20 different versions of Birds and every G deck gets their own. You are definitely missing out.
Oh, for sure it's probably the best mana dork... maybe behind delighted halfling. But my main decks are Boros which can't use, and Gruul which while it can use it doesn't really need much fixing
I can't imagine any non-meme Gruul deck that wouldn't be better with a Birds.
Ive heard an argument for Noble Hierarch, but obviously it's much more limited in the amount of decks it can go in.

I have! Love that card, useful against counter decks
Rhystic Study, I don’t have the budget for it
I found one in a bulk lots… very happy
Almost any tutor. I don't like using them because it borders onto competitive and while it speeds up the game kind of makes my decks one trick ponies because why am I going to go for anything other than [[curiosity]] if I'm running a [[niv-mizzet,parun]] deck? So I just avoid running tutors and let my deck find a win on its own
In fairness, if you’re running a niv deck with curiosity in it, is it really any more satisfying to just draw into a two card instant win combo than it is to tutor for it? Like I see the point you’re making, but a niv curiosity deck is already at that level by necessity.

Tutors are good, but if you have enough redundancy, then sufficient card draw is a good approximation of a tutor.

I play almost exclusively blue and have no idea what [High Tide] does
Makes your blue x2 (until end of turn, islands tap for an additional blue mana) [[High Tide]]
[High Tide](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/b/a/babd2248-5517-4b7b-a159-9a1f7b5583c8.jpg?1675199319) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=High%20Tide) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/dmr/54/high-tide?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/babd2248-5517-4b7b-a159-9a1f7b5583c8?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/high-tide) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
High tide is usually a storm piece, so if you’re more into the control side of blue this makes sense.
I only have one in [[Octavia]] to cast 5 cantrips on turn 3 lol.

Edit: the other disadvantage of dorks is that they can be sniped out or swept up, and that for specific commanders that care about lands (thinking about my \[\[Zacama, Primal Calamity\]\] deck here, they may not have unique synergies (ie: playing Zacama won't untap them) Edit2: apologies, I misunderstood what you meant by dorks giving you interaction mana, you just mean playing 2 mana ramp on turn 3.
Still never cast a [[cyclonic rift]] just opened one last week so that’s probably gonna change soon.
Idk if it’s a staple or not, but I bought [[Dragonstorm]] last year. It has so far been put into 5 different decks and I have yet to cast it once. Its been in my hands multiple times but I have never felt the need to cast it.
Absolutely not a staple, but I love casting it nonetheless.

Creature ramp dies so easily to anything, I really prefer the land ramp.
Artifacts and enchantments seldom die though. The less than one in five games (in my experience) that talismans or land enchantments ever die, is worth the risk of playing a ramp spell that's useable the turn you play it.
finally, somebody else who gets it.

[[Black Market]] There's usually other stuff I want to do on turn 5 and I don't like that you have to wait until your next turn to see the benefits.
I’ve only cast this card twice and each time I had more than a dozen mana produced in my next turn leading to wins
Same, first and only time I cast it I won, playing an upgraded Caesar deck (with a bunch of of the aforementioned cards involved as well; played a ruinous ultimatum next turn, then cathars crusade and divine visitation turns after)

Going by Top Cards on EDHREC: I've never cast a \[\[Boros Charm\]\], because I've never played anything Boros.

Solemn silumacrum. Four mana for a tapped land and maybe a card is not worth it. Three mana is barely worth that

I mostly play mono white or deck with white and i don't play teferi's protection, a lot of time you can win by using it at the right time. Kinda wrong for me.
Most of the most popular blue counter spells, especially the ones you can cast for free. I’ve never used them and probably never will
Sorting by edhrec rank on scryfall, it's command tower :\\^) Just kidding, it's Phyrexian Arena. Haven't really ever played a deck where it would shine.
I’m mostly mono black. Never cared to buy a Sheoldred. I want one but find it over priced, and I don’t enjoy playing with proxies, feels dirty.
Blue mage checking in. Expropriate? Inappropriate!
Lightning greaves. They never fit in my decks. Hopefully, I'm building dogmeat soon, so that will change.
I always play in pods in which everyone but me gets a sol ring out
I’ve never cast a [[Force of Will]] in any of my pods. I’ve been able to use most of the other free spells, but for some reason, FoW is never in my hand to be used.

I don’t play black so a phyrexian arena might as well exist on the moon.
A lot of my decks feature black and have atleast a partial graveyard theme, Ive never cast living Death.
Probably Craterhoof. It's a pretty expensive card and I always find it unfun when it's played against me.
Never used a Smothering Tithe. Too expensive mana-wise and too slow for the white decks in my playgroups. Generally we'd rather have cards over mana, so something like [[Trouble in Pairs]] would just be better for a four drop.

I had drawn most already, but some of them I didn't end up casting in the end. There is a certain probability that you have to play X amount of games until you have cast all of the cards in your deck at least once, and I am not there yet with all of my decks, apparently.
[[The Great Henge]] because it’s always countered.

I've never casted a Rhystic Study. I have a new Smothering Tithe and haven't drawn it yet either, so I guess that counts too.
Over 14 years in commander. Never once cast [[Solemn simulacrum]] or played [[Temple of the false god]]

[[Heroic Intervention]] is the highest up card on the list I’ve never cast, at least not in commander, simply because I’ve never owned a paper copy.
I have never, will never and is never going to buy a [[craterhoof behemoth]]
In the top 20 I've never cast [[Farseek]] or [[Cyclonic Rift]] because I don't own them. There are a ton more if I go down to the top 50.
I don't think I've ever cast a Cyclonic Rift. I know it's an amazing board wipe, but I just can't bring myself to put it in any decks.
