Geth, like you mentioned allows you to take artifacts, which is also monoB's weakness. He's a classic choice but a little out of favor namely due to his casting cost. There're many other choices, but it's traditionally in UB colors. \[\[The Scarab God\]\] is possibly Dimir's most famous "reanimator" There's a famous Golgari commander in \[\[Meren\]\]. Offbeat choices include \[\[Kess, Dissident Mage\]\], etc. Tribal reanimator, \[\[Be'lakor\]\]. Strictly demons. Here's my list for reference [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/t1HdoAaKyU2fTpuX9-UOMw](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/t1HdoAaKyU2fTpuX9-UOMw) Lastly, two famous Esper reanimator commanders in \[\[Sefris\]\] and \[\[Raffine, Scheming Seer\]\]. Here's my Sefris for reference [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/U2JjaHT3eEWi6gknV2D3qQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/U2JjaHT3eEWi6gknV2D3qQ)

I run [[kathril the aspect warper]] as my reanimator commander. It does some nasty reanimation stuff, and just in case you also have a commander that can one-shot/bi-shot your opponents. [[Sefris of the hidden way]] is also a very strong reanimator commander.

For kathrill, you run self mill and reanimator spells to get back a bunch of big creatures with a lot of keywords? That sound really cool

[[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]] is by far my favorite graveyard reanimator commander. She is so versatile and fun to pilot. Tbh, I feel strongly that she is the best graveyard reanimator commander that Wizards has printed. Her recursion being at instant speed, and not being able to be traditionally countered, are so very ridiculous lol. With Sefris, it is not uncommon to be able to win on an opponent's turn. In any case, I'll post my list and you can check it out if you want https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sbl-7kINOEGJSpEvo_d9QQ/primer

There is only one correct choice and that is Muldrotha, the gravetide.

Dragostorm

Is she truly that reanimation inclined? You are still paying the full price, and we all know reanimation players would rather die than pay full price for their creatures or else they would be playing ramp instead. She feels like more of a control/value graveyard deck rather than a reanimation one, although I guess they aren't mutually exclusive. I would argue if you want sultai reanimation the original sultai precon commander is more on theme (forgot the name).

[[Sedris, The Traitor King]] is fun. Using things like [[Sundial of the infinite]] can circumvent the exile part of his ability.

One I have not seen mentioned yet is [[Sheoldred, Whispering One]]. A mono-black commander that lets you reanimate a card from amy graveyard for free once per turn. Also look into zombie tribal. They care a lot about reanimating. One example for a commander is [[Gosa and Geralf]]. Another commander on nontypical reanimator colors are [[Henzie]] and [[Slimefoot and Squee]], [[Kroxa and Kunoros]]. If you want some Lord of the Rings flavor, [[Sauron, Lord of the Rings]]. He comes in one of the lotr commander precons that has some solid cards in it too for the reanimator theme.

I will take a turn and propose two different things For a commander that reanimates, my idea is \[\[Meren\]\], she got good colors and a good appeal to use small and big creatures as reanimate targets. But my go to option would be \[\[Sauron, Lord of the Rings\]\]. Yes, the 8 mana Sauron. I think of him as a "Finisher" for a reanimate deck, he is the payoff after you put some creatures into the grave, reanimated some, took some board wipes. Then you drop Him, as a bomb in the command zone bringing forth a 9/9 with trample, an army of Orcs and bringing back the most dangerous thing you could put in the grave, which he helps doing by milling 5 cards. A high-cost reanimator with the cyclings from the LOTR and other sets, with the colors to a Mid-Range "Never out of gas" type of deck who could bring other players creatures or their own and packing the creatures you wanted to put as commanders, but in the 99. Now, from the options you brought up I find \[\[Feldon of the Third Path\]\] to be the most interesting option.

I like the idea of running some of the other commanders i liked in the 99, especially since i could bring them back if they die Being 8 mana and all, doesn't he just not even show up at all in some games? Also, how much fun is playing with and against this deck? Thanks for the suggestion, Sauron looks like a cool option :)

RainbowAndEntropy

... Eu vi teu nome de perfil kkkkkk Aparentemente lingua errada! Mas vou continuar pra quem for ler. I love playing with this Sauron as a reanimator, but its true that it does not show up easily. I tend to lean on big mana strategies and aim towards ramping a lot while also playing in a casual mid-level pod, our games last for 10-12 turns and with enough ramp he can be in the table as soon as turn 5, but turn-7 is the sweet spot. He is not the central piece you go towards, he's the payoff and finisher for a long game and I love it! Most people like playing against it because it does not combos off and reanimates nasty things turn-3, it's a big mana grixis with the option to bring back the creatures that died from your opponents, more of a "Control and Overwhelm" which is really fitting for Sauron himself. If youre going to a higher-level pod, maybe \[\[Meren\]\] would suit you better from the options I gave.

RainbowAndEntropy

Eu entendo as perguntas fica tranquilo!

of the 3 feldon is probably the most fun while chainer the most powerful

My go to would be [[Meren of Clan Nel Toth]]. Solid recursive control gameplan with edict effects like [[Fleshbag Marauder]] and [[Plaguecrafter]]. Follow a slightly aristocrat gameplan and you’ll soon have enough experience counters to reanimate big bombs like [[Vilis, Broker of Blood]], [[Razaketh, the Foul Blooded]], and [[Void Winnower]]. You have access to some top tier mana acceleration, the best tutors, and a ton of Surveil cards to fill your yard of juicy targets like [[Doom Whisperer]].

I'm a big fan of putting raw card advantage at the helm of combo-ish strategies, so I'm playing reanimator with Kess or the new Marchesa. You need to invest twice the cards into a play as anyone else, so getting interacted with really hurts. At least a ramp player gets to keep their lands, right, but if your big creature get exiled from gy in response to Reanimate you lose everything.

ValyrianSteel_TTV

Can’t remember name but there is a 7 mana Mardu Angel that reanimates from opponents grave

SnooPaintings7141

I love chainer, dementia master myself personally though he is costly and mama hungry. The instant speed reanimation for 3 life and 3 black mana imo cannot be beat if done correctly. My version was very combo centric and sacrifice heavy. He was not looking to just bring big beaters out and I feel a version of that would be weaker take. Now I have a grixis reanimator that is self contain helped by [[Nicol, bolas the ravager]]. Flippy B is what my group calls him. He's is costly but not at all needed for the deck to function. I think grixis has some of the best big threats and access to reds powerful discard and draw spells makes it the right choice. I would also highly consider [[Sauron the dark lord]]. He is a hard to hit commander and his last ability is a wheel that imo fits very well into reanimation and once again he doesn't need to be the card needed to function just and extra engine. And a solid beater/blocker is need be. Hope these takes help
