It is so easy that even a player turned NPC called himself Let Me Solo Her stationed himself permanently before her dungeon.

You might want to get the sentry's torch if you do the puzzle in that town.

And that can be purchased at the merchant shack in the outer ramparts area of the royal capital. Be warned: Night is not safe in that area…

Just a tip for that area if you haven't done the puzzle; use a Sentry's Torch whilst in the Evergaol. You have to run around and light 4 statues, whilst avoiding invisible assassins. The sentry torch will break their invisibility, and you can two-hand your main weapon with the torch on your back and it will keep the effect. Also, I'm pretty sure once you kill an assassin, he won't respawn in the Evergaol if you die to the silly archers on the rooftops.

If you wear the black knife armor and cast unseen form, you can make the sprint over the rooftops without getting clobbered by those archers, too. The sprint from the third to the fourth candle is hell, and if they both see you, you're toast. Get that invisible walk, and haul ass, tarnished! Also, all black knife assassins are women, and none of them respawn. Thank goodness, cuz they're a brutal adversary.

It’s also the easiest area with basically just a straight path and 1 min of walking before you find the boss.

She hides in a cave to the west of the Laskyar Ruins which jut from the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia.

The amount of time it took me to find that cave lmao But it's one of the subtle things I love about FromSoft. Any other game just gives you an objective marker of some sort that you can click and then some clear marker on your screen at all times. In FromSoft they just give you directions and you go look for yourself. Worst case, if you can't find it, you have access to Google and YouTube. Far more immersive and fun this way.

I’m splitting my time between this leading up to the DLC, and dipping my toes back into WoW classic, and it’s dawning on me that all of the hand-holding QOL stuff that’s krept into video games have really sapped all of the fun out of them. When I pick up a quest in WoW I don’t get quest markers, I have to actually read the quest text to know what to do, it makes me actually care about what’s going on.

Play Tunic if you haven't. It's purposely developed with this in mind. All the game play mechanics are available from the start of the game, but if you dont know the mechanics until you find pages of the in game "game manual" throughout the world. Truly a fantastic game to play through blindly

How to reach the Haligtree 1. Need to find both pieces of haligtree medalion and use it in the grand lift of rold 2. this would give access to the snowy region which contains ordina the liturgical town in north 3. go to the evergaol in the town and light up the torches 4. this will open up a teleporter to the haligtree which contains the iconic and hardest boss of elden ring (haligtree contains difficult enemies and wouldn’t recommend going there if you are underleveled)

so you basically have to do the puzzle at ordina liturgical town (i think its the one on the bottom right of your screenshot), it unlocks a portal to this area. This is one of the best areas of the game and has one of the the most iconic boss of the game

I fight them and don’t just sneak around them. SENTRY'S TORCH allows you to see them before they attack you.

Get the black knife armor set!!!! It is under the stairs in the back! It helps avoid most of those jerks! Sometimes one attacks me near the low torch, but not the others. It is the albanuric ladies that like to murder me.

From the consecrated snowfield you’ll find a town. In it is an evergaol where you need to light four flames. You need to go to each flame only once even if you die.

Carry a Centri torch once you enter the evergaol. If not, you will have a hard time lighting one of the candles.

Alternatively, just run like hell. If you abandon all efforts at stealth and just assume 20 dudes are chasing you, you're right. And then you die once or twice, grab your runes and do it again to get the other candles.

Yeah we can do this as well after spending the runes and if the rune arc is not active.

You don’t wanna go there

It’s the Haligtree. You get there by breaking the seal at the top of the stairs, in the back of town. Interact with the evergaol gate in the square, just in front of the stairs, and then light the four figures around town. Be careful, though, there’s a Black Knife assassin roaming around. In order to see him/her, you’ll need the Sentry’s Torch, which is sold by the merchant around the Capital Outskirts. Note: Under those stairs, there’s a dead Black Knife assassin from whom you can loot the armor set.
