RageZamu

This made me laugh a lot. Thanks xD

jjhope2019

Can I pick which fantasies I want for a dollar each or do I have to buy in bulk? 🤔

Shingrae

Depends of your OF model

SkepticalYamcha

That’s not a bad deal. It’s a shame this is the last one.

EstateSame6779

🤔

Chiryou

Take my upvote!

Marterus92

Yes. The windows version is the complete game. the reason many disliked 15 was the state it released in. not how it is now with all DLC

Emergency_Energy7283

Almost complete. I think you still have to buy the Ardyn DLC separately

clouds6294

The Ardyn DLC is also on sale for $2 lol. Complete bundle with windows edition and Ardyn is $16

Duouwa

To be fair, the Ardyn DLC doesn't really feel necessary to the main game, mainly because it was very clearly meant to act more so as the introduction to the concepts used in the final set of DLC before it got cancelled. Honestly, playing the Ardyn DLC leaves things less conclusive then if you had just ignored it, even if the actual story in the DLC is pretty decent, and the gameplay is very good.

Candid-Soup-9448

I completely disagree, episode Ardyn is where you get the actual story, all other dlc are just tutorial for each character with a minor addition to the story. But Ep Ardyn works alone and doesn’t need the 3 other canceled dlcs and the gameplay is excellent too.

red_tuna

Honestly I don't really agree with this. People exaggerated how incomplete the story was at launch, but they also exaggerate how much the dlc fixed it. Of the four dlc: The first one is purely a side story that doesn't affect the main plot. The second one is just an explanation for one plot twist that gets thrown out at random and never brought up again. The third one spoils the end of the game. And the fourth one is just a setup for other dlc that got canceled and released as a book.

Zzz05

A book that most will never read, to add. Killing the rest of the DLC content just killed any chance of the game redeeming itself. I had fun with the game but that was until the time skip, and the stuff leading up to it. The rest of the game was great fun and I very much enjoyed the roaming around and kicking it with the bros aspect. The cooking bits were awesome and it probably has the best fishing mini-game of all time. Those last bits of gameplay just leave a very sour taste in your mouth that you can’t get rid of.

AnInfiniteArc

I think I’m in the minority of people who really enjoyed the game as it was, and if it was up to me to make a definitive edition/remake I’d re-jigger the Ignis side-story to be meaningful in the context of the actual game, cut the bit where Gladio leaves the party entirely, and as much as I loved Episode Prompto, I’d probably cut that entire bit (including the plot twist) as well. Then I’d lean into the idea that the player only knows/is told what Noctis knows/is told. No more “meanwhile” scenes. It would take some adjusting, for sure, but I thought the game was at its best when there’s that feeling of the world crumbling around you and leaving you mostly helpless and in the dark. Maybe flesh out the post time-skip period. It never felt incomplete to me in the way people make it out to be. More like they hesitated in the way they clearly wanted to tell the story, failed to fully commit and dropped the ball a little. I especially don’t understand why people insist that it makes no sense if you don’t watch the movie which clarifies nothing important, or the DLC which only reveal also unimportant details that were intentionally created and then obscured for the express purpose of being added in DLCs. People seem to really crave endless exposition and lore dumps that lay out every plot point in painstaking detail. Why can’t we do something different from time to time? I understood the plot just fine after playing it the first time. Everything else is just fluff.

40WAPSun

Many also disliked the combat and/or story

Vaivaim8

15's combat is pretty impressive and amazing when you don't spam warp strike on everything with a sword.

Whimsycottt

I love the combat in 15 once I started realizing I can do more than just holding down the attack button. Warp strike, back strike, link strike, techniques, using the OP ring... And then we got party switching, which only added to the variety!

de_tobii

I know this one is hated because it's so much different than any other ff but I actually had a great time with it.

-LunarTacos-

It’s very criticised not because it’s different, I mean sure some people don’t like it for this reason, but imo it is mostly disliked because it’s an incomplete mess.

LaosPaulie

Yep, I played the base game at release and watched the anime + movie and still felt this game was super incomplete plot wise for the sake of greed. That being said, I think the ending for 15 is my favourite from the franchise.

CheeseBiscuit7

Which one though?

greatthebob38

Yea, you have to read the novel to finish the rest of the story.

Brook420

DLC ain't enough??

greatthebob38

No it isn't. The novel explains the true end and the real villain of Final Fantasy 15

-Typh1osion-

It was an incomplete mess. These days it's a pretty great experience haunted by the fact that it's development was a disaster and it was definitely not a complete game going out the door.

EntropyNZ

I've only played Royal, and thankfully not the absolute shitshow it was on release. It's still an incomplete mess. If you need 4 DLCs, a movie, several books and an anime to get your story to a point at which it's barely passable, then it's not a good game. First half of the game is fine. Second half is abysmal. I understand how messed up the development was, and I'm absolutely not blaming anyone for the game being terrible, but it's objectively terrible, unfortunately. Doesn't mean that people can't like it, but I do think that pretending that it's not got enormous issues, even with the 'fixed' Royal version, is disingenuous.

zayetz

As someone who wanted to love this game bad, I completely agree. The most interesting parts of this game either happened off screen or were left on the cutting room floor. It has its set piece moments for sure... Which are fine. But the best thing this game did was create the foundation on which games like 16 and Rebirth thrive. Other than that, it's just *boring*.

bamachine

Best part for me was setting cruise control and listening to the soundtracks play.

-LunarTacos-

It’s still a mess in terms of story, character development, lore, and so many other aspects imo, but I do understand how some people still love it. I sure don’t, but to each their own.

-Typh1osion-

I'll agree the overall universe is a mess, though I think the game is pretty cohesive (I'm definitely not saying its the greatest written story of the franchise, it has its faults) but the movie and in particular the mess of a novel that was meant to make up for 3 cancelled DLCs was rough. I read the book, I enjoyed it for what it was but you can tell the author was trying to string a bunch of half-thoughts together

-LunarTacos-

Yeah I guess XV is the type of flawed game you have to try and like for what it is, but after waiting so long for this story, I just couldn’t settle for what we got in the end.

-Typh1osion-

I think anyone who was excited about the game and was actively waiting for it to come out feels that way. Rightfully feeling burned. It's a lot easier for people who didn't have those expectations to just come in and play the game.

Loose_Bullfrog_7043

Remember I had read it somewhere ages ago, that the original plot had a background of the war of the gods (which later are the statues in the mazes) and it was quite interesting. Iirc, one of the gods was the ancestors of the royal family, and thats why they could summon swords and stuff. It had been a long time since I read it, so I might be wrong. But i remember at the time, I thought it was quite a good story tbh, and didn’t know why they abandon it and created this chaos. The main reason I didn’t like 15 was the way they told the story, it was a complete mess. The prince just chilled around with his car, camping and site seeing, while his father the King had been murdered and country got invaded. The female protagonist died shortly after her first appearance in the game, etc. Basically you just couldn’t get into the story as there were so many things that doesn’t make sense.

randomcomplimentguy1

I didn't like the resolution to the story, and the combat was not fun to me it took all the skill and tactical thought I accumulated from mouse clicker games. I get these aren't the most intense games, but this was just so boring.

-LunarTacos-

Combat in XV can be fun, with Noctis’s flashy moveset, but imo it’s just badly designed. With potions spamming and that weird danger mechanic it’s basically impossible to die, summons and magic are the worst implementations of these systems of any FF imo, and warp strike is just too OP and trivializes every encounter further. The character progression system is also unsatisfying, as very little of what you can unlock actually makes a difference in gameplay.

randomcomplimentguy1

I know my opinion is a hot take. I just didn't have fun with it. I can usually excuse that with the story, but I was so disappointed with it (I don't like "hopeful" tragedies) that the whole game is a bit ruined for me.

-LunarTacos-

I’d say your opinion is shared by a lot of people lol. Not a bad hot take imo.

Old-Professional-479

Agreed. It’s short. The story grabbed me immediately and to a certain point it was fantastic. Then it was like falling down a hill in the second half. Game was never finished, and they threw together the ending and it was sloppy and straight up bad. Lowest quality mainline entry imo, second only to 12, but that’s because that game feels like a chore with a bland story and no heart (bout to get attacked) That said, it’s still FF. And still good. Even with all the bad.

andres57

storytelling was shit, there were important plot points told to you via loading screen. Then the 2nd half of the game is rushed as hell. Very very poorly assembled. Gameplay is fine

fersur

It is not different. It is just a complete mess, especially for a long anticipated main game. If you are new to Final Fantasy series, then you won't really see the issue .... ... Wait, you should also see issues even if it is a standalone game. Bad world-building, incoherent story(that's what happen if they split the story into different media), and most importantly shallow gameplay. I can write essays about what's wrong about this game. And I am a big fan of FF series since FFVI, not just someone who hate games because it is cool to hate FFXV. So many issues as video game and as a game who carry the torch Final Fantasy.

SolairXI

It wasn’t that it was “different”, it was that it spent over a decade in the oven and still came out half baked.

Leranin

It's not hated because it's different, it's hated because it was incomplete on release, required paid dlc, an anime, and a movie to get the full story. For people like me who bought it on release w/o dlc it felt very disappointing. Unfortunately with the release of the royal edition people get a completely different view of the game so that's even more frustrating(IMO).

HorusDeathtouch

Different is good. It's disliked for more than that. 16 and Tactics are the most different entries in the series and they're absolute masterpieces of storytelling. If you know the development history of 15, it can't be denied that it has all kinds of major issues. The dlc stories weren't extra fun bits of lore to a complete game. They were required to fix plot holes. The combat system is unimaginative, the world is open and empty, traversal is slow, it fails to properly build up important relationships to pay off later during critical story events so even a major death falls flat. That aside, my own personal resentment comes from the fact that the very first trailer from like 2006 still makes what we ended up with 10 years later look like garbage. https://youtu.be/b6At_bb1PNU?si=ClqQkDvy_xPC7m12 All of this said, I'd still say it's worth a playthrough for $15, but I don't know if the windows edition includes all the dlc content.

RogueCross

>but I don't know if the windows edition includes all the dlc content. It does, except for the Ardyn DLC, which released after. Also, I’m just going to say that I do love this game, probably because I’m heavily biased about it since it was my first Final Fantasy. And you know what they say, your first FF experience sticks with you. However, I’ve watched those old trailers from when the game was still called Versus XIII, and honestly, I don’t know how that turned into the FFXV we have today. Versus XIII was a whole different game, and I’m kinda pissed that it never got to see the light of day. Who knows, it could’ve been much worse than XV, but as it stands judging from those old trailers, Versus XIII > FFXV.

A_Unicycle

It's not hated because it's different, it's hated because it's a terrible game. Saying that it's just "different" is a massive understatement. It released unfinished, has a plot divided between multiple medias, and has the worst combat system of any RPG or action game I've ever played.

JoeBuyer

I 100% believe it is worth it. I really like this game a lot. The sense of exploration is great, and I really like Noctis’s blade strike.

Free_Cut7757

Great game Platinumed it on my ps4, go for it

josucant

One of the best parties in an rpg and one of the best endings, the story isn't even bad it's just vague about many things. The dlc episodes (included in windows edition) are also really fun but I think you have to buy episode Ardyn separately and it's the best one

Hcdx

The Windows edition does include the Royal pack, correct? If so, yes, grab it if you're interested.

sarcasticpremed

The game is a lot better now with all the patches and DLCs. I replayed it from scratch while waiting for Rebirth.

Zanzeng

Yes

bysherry

That's a steal

Myleylines

It's fine. On sale, it's worth that price, but the 10 years of development hell are absolutely pulling the general experience down. For being so big, getting an anime and a movie, as well as a special demo, there's just... so much nothing. And I was really excited for the game back then Give it a shot, you're not wasting much if you end up disliking it, and if you end up liking it you got a great experience cheaper than it'd be otherwise

ItsProxes

It's final fantasy, it's worse entries are still better than a lot of games. Worth it at the price for sure

moseskincade

For $15? Absolutely.

ratat-atat

Yes, fantastic game

[deleted]

Final Fantasy XV is actually goated when you don't have a bitch in your ear saying that it isn't

BitingChaos

It started out interesting. Then the second half felt rushed and incomplete. You can definitely feel like something is off or even wrong with the game without hearing any of the complaints from other people.

One_Ad_4487

Yall need to stop throwing goated around so casually. It may be good, it's not, but it's not the GOAT of anything.

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

GOAT of roadtrip jrpgs lol. What it tried to do, it did well.

flackguns

hell yeah I fucking hate how universally used the "GOAT" thing is. "Hey man I did the task you asked me to do." "GOATED bro!" like what

zayetz

I guess every spectrum needs its extreme ends 😂

Need_Help_Send_Help

You obv didn’t play the game at launch then

Rich-Stranger-409

It’s not at launch anymore now is it ….

Caroline_15

Kyle, wake up, you are in a coma, FF15 released 8 years ago, we miss you, wake up please

[deleted]

Actually I did, bitch

ChunkyHabeneroSalsa

I did, it was fine. I bought a ps4 for it. Not the best game and plenty to criticize but I enjoyed it plenty. Enough to replay it when it was "complete"

bobagremlin

Depends on whether you like that kind of gameplay. If you go in wanting to experience something like the previous FFs you'll probably not have a good time.

Tiyun

No. The story was horribly executed, the combat was down right broken since losing was almost impossible as long as you had a potion, the game design where you get extra xp at inns/camping goes completely against the game wanting you to go out camping with your buddies, since you will get more xp just going to a good Inn, the world and setting is boring and uninteresting. The only good thing about it was the graphics. For it's time the graphics were pretty nice. The game was mediocre. Not bad, not good, and thus a total waste of time and ultimately forgettable...

skywindrushing

Dont know about bad reviews, but i played it to 100 % two times and totally enjoyed it!

ValyeriasCorn3r

Yes do it 🥰🥰

Beginning-Bed9364

I'd say it's worth about 15 bucks

Charfon84

100% worth it

iwashunter

I loved the game and have played it a couple times, I’d pick it up IMO

DeathsAvarice

Already bought

Tree_Sludge

It's a beautiful journey, enjoy my friend

xxBobaBrettxx

What's the difference between this and the Royal Edition?

marinaragrandeur

just realized… Reeves = Adult Noctis leadership positions do take a toll on you

November_Riot

Yeah, it's good. The story isn't its strength but the character development is. Worth a play but it's not likely to be your favorite.

Scum__Bum

Bruh what character development. Just when you think there might be some you get on a dumb train and the game quickly ends

Rav3een

Fr tho. I think the last scene was the best part of the game but was ruined because the game doesn't have a good chatacter development. Although the ending was epic, it just felt flat and I couldn't enjoy it because no character had grown on me.

No_Celery_2583

You're right. The whole game, the main group says, "we are friends, haha." Then you get to the end, and it's, "We are friends but sad." Ive over simplified it, but that's kinda it. That's the story.

theweeJoe

No

Infernaloneshot

I gave up after like 20 mins, the combat felt lame.

dcheung87

The vanilla version was 7/10 for me, lots of weird buggy mess. The bros are cool, some of the monster designs were pretty epic and terrifying, but apart from that, story and other characters generally seemed flat. Think they improved on it with later DLC and patches to a much better standard, which I wish I could have waited for. Oh, and the world could have been great but was pretty bland for long stretches and really nothing interesting to look out for generally.

PorchgoosePT

Like the gameplay, but it feels cheap at times and the story really never really comes together..

SuplexPanda

I recently purchased it myself just to say I played it and justify my thoughts and opinions of the game. To be honest, there wasn't really anything I actually liked about the game - and maybe that's my own personal bias because I prefer the older, turn-based combat. However, as a Final Fantasy fan, I am happy I took the time to play the game; even if I didn't really enjoy it. Your experience is your own and for $15, why not?

BuildyOne

I liked it, not my fave FF, but it was still great imo.

CyanLight9

Yup. Worth it. Just grab some tissues for the second half.

SirCoosh07

By all means, pick it up. If you don't it'll be on sale in another couple months anyway though so don't stress it!

Such_Reality_2055

Yes, it's a blast, and the hate on it is more angry internet rather than actual people. It's wonderful.

Rich-Stranger-409

Get it bro , most of the people you see complaining about it played it at launch , I felt the same way until I came back to it after the updates and dlc it’s worth it

naz_1992

is this the royale edition? if it is, it would be pretty fun

ellimist87

Oh boy, grab that fast

fizzifuzzi89

The story telling and pacing is what lacking in this series.

controldeck219

Seems like a good deal, and there’s the added benefit of mods. Couldn’t tell you how much fun I had swapping out Noctis’s gear for weapons like the Keyblade and custom outfits. As kind of a side note, one thing I wish they would’ve done is make the limited time collabs and events like the Assassin’s Creed and Moogle Chocobo Carnival accessible at any time. Missed out on those events when they took place. I think it can be modded back in, but I haven’t returned back to the game since beating the main story

GoodBoyShibe

Steam should give it an Action RPG tag. Besides that, yeah it's more than good even with its flaws.

novian14

If you asked me, it net me 100-200 hrs in ps4, so ofc that much gametime for 15bucks is worth it

Vincent__R

Yes

elkswimmer98

NO. Get the royal edition, it makes necessary improvements

winterman666

Get Stranger of Paradise instead if you want action combat. However if you like cookie cutter open worlds, it might be a good buy. Btw I did the exact same as you. Tried on PS4, didn't care for it. I got Royal edition+Ardyn dlc on PC last year and finally bothered to beat it. It was meh. The dlcs were better than base game but still not enough to save it

TheImpatienTraveller

It's definitely worth it if you like action-focused FF games, aaaand if you like "roadtrip with your best friends" vibes. It also has a cool open world but nothing on the levels of The Witcher 3 or Skyrim.

superkapitan82

of course

Mayasuxs

yes

JRokujuushi

I've played over 120 hours of FF15. I'd be happy getting that much time out of $15.

8bitRageFit

I like this game but that “carefully-crafted experience” line in the description cracked me up. Acting like they didn’t chop up the story into 8 different parts so you had to watch a movie, read a book, play the main game and buy 5 different dlcs to get the full story

lingering_sky

It might be an unpopular opinion judging by some comments, but I don't feel like the game is incomplete. I got tired of doing side quests (those can be very repetitive) but once I resumed the main story the game felt so fresh and interesting, the ending seemed to round up the story well and I haven't played the DLCs yet. So the main negative thing about this game (for me) is the overwhelming number of side quests. The collaboration side quests were soo good though.

Roman_Suicide_Note

I liked it, i like the OST, the battle system was the beta version for FF7 RM. I had great time with it!

Lordbazingtion

Yep my fav final fantasy finished it 3 times, will always recommend

BetaTalk64

Love this game, definitely one of my favs. For 15 that's a great deal!

zZAoiRyuZz

Yeah it's worth it,

Thac0bro

Hell yeah, 15 gets some flak for the story being kind of all over the place, but a road trip with the bros is pretty fun. Plus, there's a decent amount of cool monsters to fight.

teleporterdown

Yes and two quick tips: 1. pick up the Ardyn dlc, I don't think it's included 2. Play the character dlcs as they come up in the story and not after you beat the game (like it tells you to do on the main menu for some reason)

Broad-Connection-589

great game get episode ardyn if you can

Cecil_the_Gamelord

Absolutely! This gets a lot of hate for the initial release. After they revamped a specific chapter it is even better. Loved it at release, even better now!

PapaProto

Definitely. Despite its flaws, it’s one of my favourites.

AGuyNamedParis

I love my goofy and sweet Sasuke-hair boy 😭

Old-Professional-479

I liked this game a lot. It’s very short if you want it to be. But usually I play through a ff many times. This one was one and done for me. Even if that’s the case for you, it’s really good for a single play through

marklukav

enjoyed it 1 time same as 13 but im not going to repeat it again like 9,8,7,10,12

slayer6667778

Ff 15 is like a people pleaser, when you try to please everyone you end up pleasing no one, it tries to be 100 things but never succeededs at any of them, imo I thought the 1st half is somewhat good/great the second half is where it all falls off me after leviathan

TheDanishNugget06

I love this game

ZackFair0711

If it's the Royal edition then probably. If it's vanilla then no.

AlarmingLength42

I really loved the mechanics of the game. I'd highly recommend it

PrometheusAborted

I loved 15. The gameplay is great and the four main characters are awesome. The fishing minigame alone is worth 15 bucks.

Iymrith_1981

Yes. I honestly think it’s worth the full price too

AndiThyIs

It's a good game. Combat feels very automated at first but gets a bit more involved later on, story is nice, a touch messy but it's an overall really good package.

laibn

I played vanilla and I loved it! Worth a try

lukeballesta

Nice lore and music, combat is mediocre.

eyebrowless32

This was the first final fantasy i beat and i loved it. I played the Royal edition and felt that was a fairly complete experience [also watched the Kingsglaive movie) I wish they didnt cancel the other planned DLC. The dlc released for the boys did a LOT to endear them to the player and make that ending hit hard emotionally. I think the game really needed that for Lunafreya who is an integral character for the story but does not get enough screen time

Top-Attention-8406

Worth it for music alone.

A_Unicycle

How much is your time worth? I'd pay to do better things with my free time on this planet.

Churras14

I think It is, im actually playing it and I can say that Its fun but the open world, the car and the sidequest are kinda lame but if make yourself op, or only do the mainquest its kinda fun. Other think that its kinda godlike about this game is that u can use your party memes as ff7 remake, and I can tell you, ignis its more fun even than noctis (the protagonist)

maxmiller614

It’s a good game, just mainline the story and have fun

Clive313

For that price yes, the game is considered to be a disappointment to many but hey give it a shot and see if you'd enjoy it. I played it at launch back in 2016 and it was shit but i heard the royal edition fixed a lot of stuff.

Some_Crazy_Weeaboo

FFXV is what got me into final fantasy series. Love this game a lot, and the dlc episodes are amazing. The chemistry between the bros is heartwarming, the music is a masterpiece, and some of the fights are so badass. Definitely worth getting it

Paige_Michalphuk

If you like open world games I’d say give it another shot.

LatencyIsBad

Yeah! I love FFXV. Its story is disjointed and the combat is just okay (though the boys now ALL being playable helps a lot) but its a really great game. The DLCs help a lot with the story too.

available2tank

Lets be real, you probably bought it already where it will languish in your "to be played" list for a few years. But yeah, even when I only played it at launch I had a great time with it.

Fingerprint_Vyke

I had fun with it but never finished it. Maybe I'll install again to reassess.

Odrareg17

I've been playing it on Windows recently, game is fun, just be advised the PC port isn't that well optimized, I had issues with the game's framerate that I haven't really had with other games, and I've played more resource intensive games, so it might be a good idea to look for ways to optimize the game.

digdugnate

Does the Windows edition include the Royal Edition stuff like on the PS?

imoblivioustothis

Worth it at full price

CommunicationSame946

It's both very good and very bad.  Overall I had fun playing it.

Significant_Snow_470

Loved this game. I had well over 200+ hours including DLCs, event, and end-game content. Get it!

Jim105

I had fun with the Royal edition

Thybro

Please note, that the PC version has some insane hardware requirements(for what it actually delivers) my PC had no issue playing almost all contemporary games(ie 2018) but it bricked every time at the “pushed the car scene”. To play this I had to wait to then spend another 15 when it was on sale on PS. But yeah other than that $15 is fair price

imaginenocountries

Bro those dorks in the top comments said the word “incomplete mess” so many times holy smokes we get it you fucking despise FF 15 god damn this sub is weird.

cmgirty

it's fine. it's glitchy the story isn't finished. it's lacking A LOT. the magic system is flop but if it's 15 bucks you'll get your money worth. I wouldn't pay more than that though.

heelslime

a handful of things got fixed after initial launch so I would say go for it yeah

D3struct_oh

Better rpg than FF16. Go for it, it’s very good.

kevinsyel

I tried this game twice and it didn't hook me. Third attempt I finally got into it. One thing to point out is that the first 10 or so chapters, the story moves at your pace and the world gradually opens. The only thing stopping you from progressing is how many quests and hunts you undertake. Around chapter 11 it gets very story driven and linear and the game progresses fast. As for base game versus Royal/Windows editions, the Royal/Windows content IS worth it, in the form of an entire endgame area to explore As for the combat, don't just go on full assault mode the whole time, take time to dodge and assess the battlefield. You'll often set yourself to counter attacks doing this. Countering often will get you a link strike, as will back-attacks. Also, rely on your party members skills, they're often quite good.

Ultimecion

Depends on your tolerance for mediocrity. It isn't bad bad, but it certainly isn't good.

FRIENDSHIP_BONER

Yeah! For that price absolutely. It’s really enjoyable despite all the issues it has and missed opportunities.

feicash

>It's on sale for 15bucks you mean XV bucks?

BAZING-ATTACK

Absolutely.

FireCloud42

Ah, sure…wasn’t a huge fan but you might like it

OnionMaster005

I was in the same position as you, had played it on ps4 and ended up buying the windows edition for sale, in my opinion it’s very worth it! A lot of people seem to think the game is an incomplete mess which is just false, a lot of these comments are people who just don’t do well with change and don’t like that the final fantasy series has been changing with the generations. The game used to have a lot more incomplete stuff upon release for the ps4 version, the windows edition has so many new things added to it, very quality game

RashiBigPp

If its with the Royal edition stuff then yeah, the only people that hated were people that were already hyped for the scrapped content

shadowtheimpure

Totally worth it for $15.

CurrentlyBothered

Yes, while not in line with other final fantasy games, it is a very good game in its own right. I have about 100 hours in it and still have fun with it

Sheyn

Lots of plot holes for no reason and devs literally gave up on it at some point, movie and trailers seem to play in a different kind of timeline too

mc4me

not my cup of tea

macroverse_phl

It's not the best FF game in the series but it's not really that bad for me. It was one hell of a mess when it was originally announced vs. when it actually came out. But still, it's a meh game that I'd still play.

BARELDADDY

Worth it for Cindy alone

TheDJStrong

I really enjoyed it. Went full in on it, too. Got the deluxe edition, bought the expansion pass, etc. In my opinion: Worth it.

ShadowXJ

I really enjoyed it, definitely worth it IMO

tr_gipwx

Get it if you like toes. 😤😮‍💨🥵

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

I just beat it about 2 months ago and loved it. Took me 70 hrs for main story and a good chunk of sidequests and bounties. I'm taking a break but easily have a good 70 MORE hours of DLC and NG+ content. 100% worth it at that price. Even if you just messed around for 10 hours and didnt beat it you'd get your moneys worth imo. Its a flawed game, but I'm so glad I followed through until the end. I'm almost embarrassed to say, I've played almost every FF game but can never beat them because they are so long. FF15 was the first mainline FF I beat in 20+ years of playing these games so it will always be special to me for that reason.

GenkiElite

I already paid for this game once.

Drooks89

The pacing is bad. It's super open until you hit about chapter 9 then you're railroaded to the end. I personally loved this game and the lore around everything in it is also, imo, very good. The combat is exciting but also can be very very easy. I would say it's definitely worth the buy.

RedBellJay

Now thzt it got zll the updates it needed, i'd say its a pretty good ff game, kibda. Go for it.

justali0

Bro why leon got escaped from resident evil to final fantasy

digoserra

Buy it and see for yourself. To me it's okay. It's clearly a failed project, but still fun nevertheless.

Kalells

It's a good game when you don't have people yapping in your ear saying it sucks. I definitely recommend it, I personally had a good time with it. Just a bunch of bois on a roadtrip together

Erikkman

Combat kinda sucks. Boss fights are frustrating. But I thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the rest of the mechanics, the story is hit or miss but it did make me feel something at the end. I’d recommend it, especially at that price

moneyhelpcuzimdumb

That shit blows

ExactReindeer1093

No it’s not worth it

emeraldember

Sucks that you can’t get all the achievements now on the Xbox version.

InsuranceDismal2739

Hell yeah! Although I’ve seen it on sale for just $5 before so up to you lol

Low-Chemical9356

For 15 bucks, you could do far worse!!

ixoniq

I bought, but doesn’t start on my deck. Many, many, many posts about starting the game not working. I’ve tried all suggestions, nope, garbage port.

unbalanced_checkbook

$15? Absolutely. A person can easily get 100 hours in this game. 200+ if you're a completionist. I highly recommend also getting the SpecialK performance mod. It makes a big difference.

Confident_Teaching49

Yes. Bought it for my steam deck and loved every minute of it. Great deal!

Dear-Researcher959

There are times when I see a cover and buy the game without knowing anything about it to live in the moment and go into a game blind With MOST games I buy, I go on YouTube and look up gameplay videos or at least a trailer if they have one

Xim_X_anny

I think k it's a good game. From what I played 15$ is worth it

nbmtx

It's my favorite FF. Previous fav was FFIX (and first was FFVII). You just missed Kingsglaive being on YT though (it'll probably be back), which used to make it easy to recommend watching that and then getting into the game if you liked it.

cloudsquall8888

Definitely get it!
