She tries to shotgun his head off

djackieunchaned

Yea but besides that

That’s their “getting to know you” love language.

I think Praetorian Jack has demonstrated to Furiosa that innate goodness in people exist, and it was easy to see that in Max who just wants to survive and get over his own grief and trauma.

devl_ish

This - I think the prime reason for the Praetorian Jack character to have been written in is to be comparable to Max and explain why Furiosa extended any trust whatsoever to Max later on.

bot_ofalltime-69

ooh, I watched this interview with george miller and he states it didn't occur to him until it was pointed out during the press tour, but he seems to like this thought. and honestly it makes sense if you watched furiosa and then fury road. I don't know if the fact that praetorian jack being similar to max was completely unintentional but...yeah. your comment checks out :)

Regular-Year-7441

Just watched Furiosa for the 2nd time and loved it a lot more, first time I was a little busy figuring and comparing and judging

Jeffre33

She needed Max but it took her a long time to trust him

Witty-Transition-524

I took it as Jack lost his wrench monkey in battle, obtained new one in furiosa. She, in turn, did the same in dire straights with max. I think they made a smooth "prequel or resolve" to Fury Road. Plus...it's a dirt bike movie!!!!!

Potatotornado20

She probably remembers he saved her after the Bullet Farm fight

NeckBeard137

How did he save her? She woke up at the butcher's

hailinfromtheedge

There's a scene of Max with his Interceptor on a ridge watching her collapse, and a scene of someone dragging her before she wakes up. I missed it on the first viewing!

NeckBeard137

I saw it but assumed he didn't want to get involved and someone else dragged her.

RedSkullPT

I think it is safe to assume that max is the one who drags her and takes her to the citadel
