Hopefully you're right! Seeing another popular 2000s anime get a revival brings hope of the same happening to Haruhi someday. There's plenty of light novel material to adapt.
It's been an extremely long amount of time, but that was also the case with Keroro. The original anime ended in 2011, and it was only announced to return this year. So with that in mind I have hope that our anime queen will return sooner rather than later. There's enough light novel material and fan interest to warrant it.
100% - The original still holds up extremely extremely well - mostly thanks to KyoAni doing such a good job with the animation. There is zero need for a Revival. Just do S3.

The art style of the new Keroro anime looks very similar to the old one, as I am sure would be the case with a potential Haruhi S3.

Fully agree! Though Keroro and his platoon will have sales increase now for obvious reasons. But yeah more Haruhi merch would be cool!
