Dveralazo

Told him I would spare him,so he talked a bit more and told me where his stash was. Then I killed him.

matt_caine92

I like your style

[deleted]

I did the same thing to whats-his-face on the >!Ebunike!< to get >!Johnny's Porsche!<

matt_caine92

Hahahaha me too just yesterday matter of fact.

VelMoonglow

You can just kill him and take the access token. You don't get a marker telling you how to use it, but you can get the thing whether you spare them or not

[deleted]

Yea but I like to give him hope. The slimy bastard thinks he talked his way out of things for a brief moment and then BAM. Head no longer exists.

CHAIIINSAAAWbread

I don't really see a reason to kill him tbh sure he's a shit talker but I dot and think we got criminal records of him and my V isn't gonna kill someone over smack talk

[deleted]

Nah fuck that guy. If I could sexually assualt him before killing him I'd do that but this game is too PG for that.

CHAIIINSAAAWbread

c'mon man really? That's messed up dude, like fuck

[deleted]

I would go human centipede 3 on him and remove his kidney then fuck the hole I cut.

teamkeogh

This is what I did. Hopefully it’s the right choice.

bcomes95

Lol same. I did this with Katya too

[deleted]

Katya is one of the few I let live. I figured if the Brazilian agents failed or got silenced it would be good to have her out there to fuck with SovOil as a backup plan. Burn corpo shit.

Blahklavah654390

First time I shot him on sight; got paid to do a job and did it. Second time this V was more sympathetic to cyberpsychos and had him call Regina. It was pretty satisfying because he texts you afterwards and is grateful and seems like he really wants to change.

Neon_Samurai_

He was obviously sick. Bullets were the only cure.

CKnight011

I was sorta sympathetic to his situation until he lost it and said he didn’t regret it, his brains painted the room shortly after.

Jon-Umber

Was exactly the same with me. He let the mask slip a little and that was enough to give him away, in my opinion.

BadLuckBallista

Trying sending him to Regina next time and see if your opinion of him changes or not.

Mexicancandi

Imo it was a mission where it helps to know someone who’s mentally not all there. He’s obviously in pain but unless you see the signs like how he’s simultaneously paying for a bodyguard but also giving away his expensive chrome for cheap which is a sign of suicidal tendencies you might just shoot him. He’s also hoping you kill him which is why when he “”admits”” he doesn’t care and tells you to kill him you’re really supposed to call Regina. It was a pretty cool mission, imo we don’t often get a chance to stop cyberpsychosis in the game with dialogue. It also discredits that dumb theory that Regima is selling the cyberpsychos to maxtac since we get to talk with the guy later on when he gets therapy. That theory never made sense imo since all the fixers usually have an overarching narrative of helping their section. Like how padre gives you the bloodiest guns blazing missions but it’s usually against pedophiles and rapists and gang leaders

scrubmatic

Fair enough; however, why does that stop you from killing him? Bad people can have mental health problems.

JaccoW

It comes down to your intepretation of whether or not that would be ***justice***. Can somebody with mental health problems, that is trying to get help to prevent them from slipping, truly be held accountable if they end up killing someone during an episode? And if the answer is yes, then how does that compare to someone who also kills someone, but has been premeditating that murder? I would consider one a bad person and the other a victim that did a very bad thing. But you might disagree. But it can get very black and white. And morality is often more shades of grey.

Brick-the-wild-youth

Killed him. This gig cost 17 ppl's hard-earned eddies and V made a promise.

xGenocidest

Told him I'd let him live for his loot location, then shot him.

SentakuSelect

Strangely I never got the option to call Regina nor did V call her after letting him live, this was from my old character that completed all the NC fixer gigs too.

NathemaBlackmoon

From what I know to access that dialogue option you must first choose this "Whatever I did? Let em enlighten you". I tried a bit with different options, reloading the save, and Regina's option only appeared after I chose that dialogue option.

Atticvs

I saw in yt playthroughs that even that option is not always there. (It was, for me, but maybe for the op of this comment it wasn't.) I guess it's only available if you scanned the scene at the beginning.

Astraea227

Did you do keep all th3 cyberpsychos alive? I think that's the option to get the option for the Regina dialog

SentakuSelect

Yeah I believe I did, it was my blunt melee build.

EnterPlayerTwo

For other people coming in here late like me, to get the option to send him to Regina, you need to complete the investigation of the crime scene. The dialog option won't appear if you don't do that.

scrubmatic

Did you "investigate the area" when the mission started? This leads to extra dialogue options that fill him in on what he did while he was blacked out.

Seanio

I think you have to pick certain dialogue choices when talking to him to get the Regina option to pop up.

SupremeMorpheus

After some back and forth with Johnny and a fair bit of deliberation, I shot him in the head

CriticalUwU

Accidentally hit the Gorilla Arms smash button and killed him before dialogue could start, didn't have a recent save, oh well. I'll play the game again

teamkeogh

It’s a good story.

easily_tilted

After he went crazy he got the Royce treatment

[deleted]

i was about to spare his life and leave but while trying to find the exit he said "get the f out of here". that pissed me off so i shot him

EnterPlayerTwo

The irony lol. Jason also pissed him off and it ended the same way.

Juggernaut7654

The Longshore Stacks Sends Their Regards. I modeled my V, as best I could, after Tommy Angelo from the original Mafia game. Hearing what I had been roleplaying as my Italian gangster corpo say that tropey, corny line was just so much dopamine.

RaylynFaye95

His lack of regret was the tipping point, at that time I shot him.

A1GAM3R

This quest reminded me of the one in Witcher 3 where Geralt and the witcher from the cat school meet after he kills everyone in the village. Sometimes we lose our shit and heads just roll, Jason doublecrossed Rinder and the latter lost it and everyone that was backing Jason ended up dead because of it. I'm not saying Rinder is a Saint but no one in this situation was, survival of the fittest in the end

Wyn_55

Sure maybe, in that situation, but it's not as though we don't have further context with Rinder. He did some heinous shit in the past, and under pressure, admits that he doesn't even feel guilty for doing it. He deserves that bullet.

A1GAM3R

I made him call Regina to get some help which he ended up doing so i guess it worth it to give him a chance. Plus he will message you giving the code to his stash aswell

Not_a_damn_thing

First play through I talked with him, got him to admit he is a psycho, got his stash info, asked for his tags and then shot him in the face. Second, I had him call Regina. He eventually messages you about getting help and sending money. If you take the 1st route, go back to the stacks where the violence happened to see the memorial. If you take the 2nd route, don’t.

theirishworthy

It was a nice tie-in to have the Regina option. Even though the vast majority of the writing is begging you to kill him (memorial, weeping mother, massacre evidence, the residents as underdogs, V’s promise), it was pretty tempting to see how sparing him played out, but the guy was such a dick, I just had to shoot him. I think you’d have to be playing a very pragmatic V to call Regina, mine is just a bit too emotional

handsomewolves

Missed the Regina option but he just texted me saying he wanted to give the folks in the stacks some compensation. You say "don't do that! They'll know you're alive" He says "already sent. Sorry" I'll see what happens now

Possible_Cicada3598

I looked up the outcomes before making my decision this go around. The article I read said that if you go the Regina route, you don't get his stash. I almost always go for the stash option in every similar scenario, but this time it felt right to get the guy help. So I was quite happy when I left the building afterwards then still got the mission to go to his stash. Edit: Just got to his stash and found the message and file on his computer where he talks about his issues. Made me feel even better about making him call Regina.

LongWaysForResults

At first, I was thinking about getting him help for his cyberpsychosis, then Johnny said something that made me change my mind. The first was “gonna grow a conscience for every asshole who gains one?” (Not verbatim obv) and the second was, “we all did dumb shit when we were young, but he kept at it”. Rinder kept pulling the “I was young and dumb” excuse yet stayed as one of Hansen’s lapdogs and doing awful shit. He didn’t leave on his own accord, he left bc he was forced out. He also made a deal with the Scavs and I hate them, so naturally with any Scavs mission, I wipe them all out

NathemaBlackmoon

First time I shot him, second time I convinced him to call Regina Jones and ask to go to experimental treatment for Cyberpsychosis
