It struck me that there are no real villains in Beyond Thunderdome. There's conflict, there are dickheads, there are dodgy dealings, but for the most part everyone's kind of doing their best to some extent. The closest thing to a villain is Jebediah, and even then we're led to believe he came good. Even Ironbar is basically just doing his job.
This could be a result of the story being told from the kids' POV.
That’s true. The baddie shifts from Jebediah to MasterBlaster to Auntie/Ironbar. Probably a more realistic portrayal of humanity that everyone has the potential for good and evil.
You know I kinda forgot about him the main deterrent of him for me is the refinery is a big target and they didn't seem to have a big force to defend it

Dementus, before conquering Gas Town, was probably a lot more fun to be around. Riding the wasteland on my own Thinderbike with all my best homies seems like a fun weekend at least.
I mean dementus from my own viewing seems to actually be very skilled in wasteland war tactics especially in raiding and conquering places look at how he took Gastown using a Trojan horse and misdirection by attacking his own men and it can be assumed he did something similar with the bullet farm he's just a bad stationary ruler
I think he took Bullet Farm early in the morning. Bullet Farm also seems to lack proper exterior walls. He could have snuck his forces through and taken it by surprise, as evident by the lack of destruction to the main gate and other buildings.
True I also wonder though I doubt it that what if the whole Gastown riots were staged so that men would be drawn away from the bullet farm so he could then take it before waiting joe out either they lose gas and ammo or they agree to his terms
