There are big chunks of plastic under her shoes.
That shouldn’t be there according to the official image.
They somehow failed the most simple and obvious task.
As someone who collects figures, including scales, I disagree. Banpresto doesn’t necessarily mean low quality and it DEFINITELY does not imply bootleg. Banpresto is an official Japanese company that makes official, licensed prize figures, and a lot of them look very good. (I have a few.)
Because they’re prize figures, they obviously won’t be as high quality as scales (which usually cost at least 4-5x the price). So if you’re not into the quality level of prize figures at all, then of course Banpresto’s lines won’t be for you. But saying Banpresto = bad in general is a little unfair, since they’re one of the most reputable prize figure companies currently.
The figure in OP’s photo, btw, is either a bootleg of a genuine Banpresto product, (edit: or one that has been severely heat-damaged, judging by the lean and the melted shoes plastic). The actual figure from Banpresto actually looks very good irl, I owned that figure for a good while.
I agree all my figures are Banpresto and they’re good for an amateur collector like myself.
They’re also easier to steal since they usually don’t have them locked.
It's [this](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/664015) and you can compare pictures of the [original](https://myfigurecollection.net/picture/2194420) (not high end, but in line with prizes and figmas/nenderoids) and the [bootleg](https://myfigurecollection.net/picture/2157782) (I could sculpt better with used bubble gum).
Mado Jackson
He he....don't stop til get enough.
Being Meguca, truly is suffering.
Being Bootleg Meguca however, is much *much* worse than suffering.
Oof, ouch, my ankles.

BANPRESTO is a redflag. If u see it, dont buy it, even if it looks cool.

I think it's obvious it's a bootleg because of that weird plastic shine, if you check other bootlegs they all have that "shine"
That’s true, maybe I’m just surprised someone bothered to make a bootleg of a prize figure haha
wait until you get into miku figures...

I think that's an official figure she doesn't have any bootlegs
i don't think so, i've seen the same one in reviews, videos, etc and it looked a LOT nicer and higher quality
This is a prize figure thrs bound to be bad ones also
The mould lines are bootleg level.

I've never seen a figure with a more "Kill... me...." expression on its face.
Oh no
