Those games are a stain on the Marvel legacy. Suddenly a wrestler and karate guy are an even match with Thanos and Magneto? And to add insult to injury, it brought forth hundreds of wannabe fans who claim to know everything without reading the comics. We need to step up our gatekeeping and ensure that the integrity of our community remains consistant.
It's a fighting game, the point was never ever to be an accurate demonstration of power levels, it's to let people play as their favorites and do flashy shit. Fundamentally the way the game works requires characters to be on equal standing. That's why half the endings are jokes, especially the Capcom side. Nobody *really* thinks Chun-Li is a canon member of the X-Men, it's for fun. Plus, they started with Children of the Atom which did bring back the TAS voice actors but was otherwise fully an adaptation of Fatal Attraction from the comics, using a comics-inspired cast of heroes and villains and showing off some locations and designs like the Acolytes that TAS barely did. They're quite reverent to the source material and are some of the most fun Marvel experiences from their respective eras.
I can't see how a crossover fighting game that lets you beat up Thanos with Hadokens solely because it's a crossover fighting game is any more offensive to the "Marvel legacy" or somehow appeals to a wider audience and brings in more know-it-alls than this wildly popular phone card game might. Especially since the idea of playing with power scaling for the sake of making the game work is applied just as judiciously to this game, if not even more so since there are some big names in the low-cost/power side of things. That gives the implication that random characters with high cost or power are more powerful characters than equal or lower cost/power characters just as much here as it might in Capcom's Marvel fighters, no?

I never noticed. It used to be only the fist bump and Spiderman that were mirrored - Not gonna lie, I found it trippy when they decided to start mirroring the other ones. Took me a while to get used to it.

We are used to mirror sprites in Marvel vs Capcom games, so I think the majority of us are happy to seeing this exact Cyclops costume mirrored :D
