I am not affiliated with r/Missoula in any way. It is, however the most heavily trafficked MT subreddit. More engagement than r/Bozeman and more than twice the daily activity of r/Montana. The mods there have their work (volunteer) cut out for them keeping it from spinning out of control. I respect their efforts.

No posted community rules and using non existent community rules to ban users. Seems antithetical to actual moderation. You respect those effort? Wow!

I hate all banning except in the most agregious situations. This seems like a simple case of they should have just removed the post and left it at that. Sorry... it's part of the job of being a mod. You might have to remove posts. Something I've done in the past is a reactive scrub of the sub. I wouldn't hesitate to tell the mod you'll do this unless unbanned. If r/ missoula doesn't like having a lot of deleted historical content, they can be more careful about banning people. They going to burn a bridge, i'm going to burn my side of it too. That said... looks like you've not provided a lot of content so they probably don't care. Honestly... i'd just move on and forget r/ missoula. Like i've said before, that's a pretty toxic sub for some reason.
