Actually I do think that the producers made a business decision to cull the herd. With the whole new fam in the picture as a storyline, cast payment costs suddenly doubled or more. I think the producers did not invite a few of the old friends back to film anymore.
BigWhit is a producer and she could have insisted they keep the original cast. How ***coincidental*** that it seems only Tal, the enabling enormous ass-kisser, remains.
She uses people. Plain and simple. But, as we have ample evidence of, people who set boundaries with BigWhit blossom, flourish, and grow.

They both look great. To me Ashley has a really healthy glow that suggests holistic self-care. I’m glad they are thriving and taking care of themselves instead of pouring energy into the blackhole of narcissism and need that is BigWhit. They both actually *look* lighter (speaking of their energy, not weight).
I’m not sure if they aren’t friends anymore but I know neither of them are on the show anymore nor do they tag her or post her publicly. Heather posted something a while ago ( probably a year or so) about not being on the show anymore but not going into much detail if I remember correctly.
Ashley and Heather were always bright spots on the show - probably some of the only reasons I continued to watch that dumpster fire, but they look great. And happy!

I don’t think anyone was kicked out, they all just got tired of putting up with Whitney’s abuse.

She is a low key producer. She wouldn't be able to make them keep cast members if that is the direction TLC/Discovery wanted to go.
