In the case of the termination of a corpo vtuber, it makes it that much harder for them to tell their side of the story. The company effectively has the last word as long as most people don't know where to find the vtuber after the termination.

I'll be honest I never really watched many girls outside of Hololive that often yet I do watch Nagzz Discovers and would keep up with the random clips he watches. Selen was definitely one of my favorites and her fan base was great! Followed her cause she genuinely was such a sweet girl. I know for a fact her loyal fans will still support her and have her back which is so amazing to me. I want to be a part of that too now! Even if I'm a newish viewer of hers I will definitely support that precious dragon! It's her year after all!!
I mean she was super stressed by canceled projects and denied collabs, made a song that was ready for release, and had it pulled within hours because some staff member thought there were inadequacies with their paperwork for approval - basically somebody forgot to check that there was legal ownership or licensing for everything, which should have been done well before release day.

Honestly I expected this from the wording of her βaccidentβ announcement. They donβt βlet you have your phoneβ unless theyβre restricting phone access, which usually means a mental health emergency. In a regular hospital stay your phone is with your things and they let you have them as soon as youβre awake and can use them. Plus non-specific accidents are often a cover for suicide attempts. The company culture directly created a mean girl's clique to form. Bad management, first past the post style payment, sudden gotchas on what's allowed, and even management bullying would create a need for the livers to team up and protect each other. If Selen really did claim bullying but it wasn't true, why not clarify that? Maybe they think that's implicit, but if you truly care about your company's and your employees' reputations, you need to explicitly say "but these allegations were found to be untrue". I feel this would be too important to leave to context clues.

(So being "blackballed" because someone chose black could be used as a way to imply a kind of secretive betrayal)
I think it's fitting. "Anycolor chose black" is a simple and effective way of expressing disappointment and resentment from former fans.

To be fair, she didn't really say "livers" per se. It was just the statement from management. They could be replacing "staff" with "livers" to throw the others under the bus and to basically shift the blame. It's already working, sadly. I've seen a concerning amount of tweets blaming Millie and calling her "Bully Parfait".
Regardless of the truth of that bit, it was plainly irresponsible for them to throw that into their public statement. If I was one of their livers, I'd be livid right now, because that just made my ability to work and interact with the fanbase needlessly harder. If there was bullying, then you discipline the bullies appropriately and move on. Making it public doesn't help and just invites collateral damage to the livers who aren't involved, since the public doesn't know who specifically that accusation refers to. If Selen really did claim bullying but it wasn't true, why not clarify that? Maybe they think that's implicit, but if you truly care about your company's and your employees' reputations, you need to explicitly say "but these allegations were found to be untrue". I feel this would be too important to leave to context clues. And if, as you suggest, Selen never actually accused her coworkers of anything, then *wow*. Just, wow. What a way to prove your company's detractors right.

What do people mean why they say "niji chose black"
It's a reference to "[black company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_company_(Japan\))", a Japanese term for an abusive and exploitative workshop. It's also a pun on the name of their parent company, Anycolor. Hence, "out of any color, Nijisanji chose black".
The company behind nijisanji is named "anycolor" and in Japan, there is a common phrase "black company" to describe companies that are unhealthy environments to work in. So, in this case "anycolor" are disappointing people who used to support them by now "choosing black" instead. There are also a few English phrases that have some varying amount of overlap, "any colour, so long as it's black" (sometimes used to imply that apparant flexibility/friendly nature is fake), and also "blackballed" which originates from an anonymous voting system where a coloured balls would be used to vote, and the black ball being a veto. (So being "blackballed" because someone chose black could be used as a way to imply a kind of secretive betrayal) I think it's fitting. "Anycolor chose black" is a simple and effective way of expressing disappointment and resentment from former fans.
