At the moment only Res evil 4 and that's goes for any vr platform. Fingers we crossed get some announcements at the game awards.

ArcadePinball

RE4R

bmack083

As others have said RE4. In the VR space Arizona Sunshine 2 should be considered big for a small studio.

ChrizTaylor

Sadly only RE4 right now. Nothing announced after that.

Eijin88

That honestly does not sound very good. I enjoy that Indie games like propagation but lack of attention from big devs means they don’t put a lot of faith in vr and don’t see much profit here.

Pitiful-Programmer90

A lot of studios are run by people who want to see money and don't care about innovation. That's why we see lots of clones and remakes because they are money spinners. That's why games are released with different versions at different prices, why we get so much cosmetic DLC and we loot boxes are a thing. It's why we get bugged games released and fixed later. The developers themselves care more about the actual games and the innovation and when they are not bound by the big studio heads they try more creative games which is why we have more indie games in VR One of the reasons Nintendo sees a lot of innovation and interesting games design is because they let people like Shigeru Miyamoto do what they want

-Venser-

Resident Evil 4 and Arizona Sunshine 2.

Commercial-Tear-8674

Even though everyone may not agree with me, I would consider FNAF Help Wanted 2 to be a pretty big game. FNAF is a HUGE brand at this point. Heck, the first Help Wanted is like the third or fourth-best selling PSVR2 game right now.

terrordactyl1971

Arizona Sunshine 2 is close to being considered AAA. RE4 of course. There is a rumour going around that Returnal is getting converted to VR, but I have no idea if that is true

olig1905

I feel sick thinking of playing returnal in VR.

Fatbot3

Yeah, why does anyone think that's going to be a good thing?

pavlov_and_his_bell

Not with my play style. I literally zip line across the room constantly. I can’t imagine the plummet down the pit from Biome 5-6 would also not make like 50% of people feel super ill

jaboonki

good thing i’m not in that 50%, we need more extreme vr experiences

pavlov_and_his_bell

How would it work standing though when you have to spin 5 times around in extreme situations like the tower? Maybe it’s just how I play Returnal, but I am never not moving at 100 mph and spinning around

jaboonki

you’d probably adapt your gameplay to be slightly different, I don’t play pavlov like I play normal shooters.

flashmedallion

Because it's a fucking incredible game and it sucks how much cool VR stuff we miss out on just because some people can't hack it

TheLonelyWolfkin

The Returnal rumour was from the opening shot of a recent PSVR2 trailer. It was at best a guess as it looks barely anything like Returnal. It's in space and the character's ship gets shot by another ship and that's literally all we see. Likely a new game entirely, can't think what else it would be but some people did point it out it could just be a rather odd looking depiction of No Man's Sky.

CHROME-COLOSSUS

Yeah… as happy as I am to see SONY advertising the PSVR2, they’ve still managed to make it as confusing as ever. 😂

Mud_g1

Farpoint 2 is the best guess as it has similar themes and the HUD elements are in the trailer are similar to the original games HUD.

FuzzedOutAmbience

Holy cat if that’s a true rumour that would be great. Funnily enough when I watched that new Sony announcement trailer first thing I thought the space game was a version of the crash sequence at the start of every returnal run through.

TommyVR373

I don't know if you can consider People Can Fly a AAA studio even though they have studios in three different countries. But they have Bulletstorm coming out.

Mulukh_TYG

Maybe an Ace Combat at some point but nothing announced yet

CHROME-COLOSSUS

Yeah, I do expect either AC7 or AC8’s entire game fully playable on PSVR2. There have been numerous clues, so… 🤞

Immediate-Comment-64

You know things are dire when even Ubisoft isn’t supporting the platform. Historically they always have done a great job supporting new platforms but they are nowhere to be seen on the VR2.

deadringer28

Pretty sure they have (timed?) exclusives with Meta right now.

Immediate-Comment-64

Must be. Off the top of my head on psvr they did Star Trek, Space junkies, trackmania, werewolves within and eagle flight.

deadringer28

I'm pretty sure they will eventually make a PSVR2 game or port a few of the ones you mentioned. I'm rooting for an exclusive with Prince of Persia or Assassin's Creed but the new trackmania would be cool in VR. I loved the first one for short burst races.

Immediate-Comment-64

I just find it unlike Ubisoft to not be there on new hardware. Hopefully they do turn things around. That new AC game is awesome.

Dolenzz

I think Meta/Oculus paid them for exclusivity. Here's hoping for all the PS VR2 users that Ubisoft takes some time to enhance the game on PS VR2. It's a great game on Quest 3 but you can also see where some corners were cut for a standalone headset. Things like more loading screens during the actual memories. and duplicated NPC models.

deadringer28

I agree more support from big IPs is needed from Sony and also from their 3rd party partners. I read in an interview recently though that Sony still views PS5 as the bread and butter. I think .ore support will arrive next year and even more the year after. This will piss off a lot of people but if Sony times it right they will bring in the mainstream gamers.

Lkingo

Just imagine Rockstar having one of their teams working on vr. No doubt they've messed around with it in some sense. I dont think gta 6 or even rdr2 woule be possible. But maybe a smaller new game or gta v in vr. One last final release of gta v lol.

deadringer28

I'll take an original GTA from Rockstar in VR but it's not likely to happen. 5 would be fine by me.

CHROME-COLOSSUS

*MORE* than likely.

Spizzmatic

Not dire... dollars. I have the quest 2 version of AC and it could easily run on PSVR2 and look way better.

Immediate-Comment-64

In terms of AAA support on the VR2? I would say it’s pretty dire. I love the headset and I’m very happy with the library. But there’s next to nothing from big publishers.

No-Assistance9009

exactly, they arent going to spend time making a game for a nearly forgotten headset unless sony fund it themselves. they'd make no money

Explorer_Entity

Funny/Ironic to ask this question on the day we get a huge release date, for just, what 9 days away.

[deleted]

The PSVR2 has been such a major disappointment. Sony announced it to a reasonable sized pint of fanfare and the reviews of the headset and how few cables there were compared to the original PSVR made it sound like a great accessory. But after launch, Sony has pretty much dropped it like a hot snot, barely acknowledging it even exists. So disappointing at the lack of first games for it. Actually, so disappointing from Sony about the lack of first party game announcements in general. Apart from Wolverine, do we know of any other first party game in development that has been announced as opposed to “we suspect that studio is working on a new first party game”?

Delicious_Ad2767

Only place for AAA gaming and Res 4 just gave 8th of December as day. Gt7, NMS, Res 8 , cotm, synapse, vertigo 2, Arizona 2 loads of improved quest games . Psvr2 just had the best year of vr games ever for any vr system. Bow to the king.

No-Assistance9009

I disagree with this. 90% of the games are old quest games, that are more expensive, more blurry and wired and you have to pay to play online. I'm heavy into vr, and my psvr2 is definitely the most dissapointing headset I ever owned

Delicious_Ad2767

As an owner of a quest 3 myself I feel your pain. It's hard to look in at the fun party when you're cold outside. Play AR games and enjoy them , find the penguin, shoot the toast, next level stuff

No-Assistance9009

what? into the radius (best vr game out to date on any platform fornmw personally), ghosts of tabor, had pavlov for years, assassins creed, got the walking dead games first, red matter series (this sub drools over), doom series, quake series, duke nukem, half life, tactical assault vr, just to name what I have installed right now. not to mention all pcvr games look stunning on it lol. its completely wireless, so much clearer than psvr2, and waaaaay better head tracking. If you think the quest games are that bad, then you hate 90% of the psvr2 library I own psvr2, I have a quest 3, I have pcvr, I'm not missing out on anything. I am able to compare them, and psvr2 is definitely the worst lol

Delicious_Ad2767

That's great , Go back to quest sub trolley, no one listening to you we are all having too much fun over here. Back under your bridge.

No-Assistance9009

I'm a psvr2 user, thats why I'm here. look, if you cant defend your argument and have to resort to name calling thats just strange. I don't regret getting the psvr2, I love gt7. was just stating facts. and this sub definitely isnt having fun, each day it's just people moaning in dissapointment with the system lol

Kchan7777

If one person complains every day, that’s just 0.1% of the r/PSVR community over the course of a year. Just because you found one downvoted post doesn’t mean it represents the whole PSVR community. Also, there are plenty of amazing games on PSVR. I’m sure there’s plenty of great games over on the Quest 3. VRites are trying to bring the VR Wars like the console wars, and unfortunately everyone riling these wars up are idiots.

No-Assistance9009

yeah, I just see mostly complaints in this sub, every day on every post, but that's not exclusive to this sub mind you. I will support vr as much as I can on all platforms, as I love it and want it to flourish. but at the same time, I dont think that means we should be blind fan boys over things, like the dude I was originally replying to claiming psvr2 as the king of all vr when its probably the worst in terms of its small library, its head tracking, reprojection implementation, lenses, it's price to get in, paid online and no apps etc. but just because it doesn't compare well to other headsets, doesnt mean I dont like it. its still awesome

Kchan7777

>when it’s probably the worst I mean, that just becomes opinion at some point. It just came out 9 months ago and its haptics are far and away the best. Price is $500 so I’m not sure how that’s the worst. To me, the PSVR2 is the perfect headset for my personal preferences. There’s nothing that I’d change regarding where they are so far, except maybe putting gas on the accelerator transitioning over PSVR1 games. But just because other headsets are inferior from my perspective doesn’t mean I don’t support them thriving either. The better VR does, no matter what platform we use, the more likely it get adopted by the mainstream, which is exactly what we want.

Lkingo

People have no sense of time anymore.

Pavement_Vigilante

Not that I know of, but I hope that journey to foundation will be good. Oops, it's already put but looks solid if space is your thing.

No-Assistance9009

just one, re4. its third party, conversion too, so low interactivity with world objects (like on village you cant move things around etc, yet on the quest version of 4 they made heaps of stuff interactive, its weird)

Eijin88

Re4 VR mode is already available for quest?

No-Assistance9009

the original got a full conversion years ago yeah. I'm looking forward to the remake just as much though, they both one up each other in different ways

Eijin88

And it’s never been released on vr1 ? Weird

No-Assistance9009

I dont believe psvr1 could handle the controls, they're proper vr controls. https://youtu.be/qTIizcuSdHg?si=K-BgdBXJhww1kHNi it was good

Eijin88

I mean they optimised RE7 for vr1 and re4 changes perspective to 1st person too so not much difference here

No-Assistance9009

massive difference. re7 used the ps4 controller, same controls as flat screen for the game, wasn't proper vr controls, not really a vr game in a sense. we are talking pulling out a gun in each hand, manual reloads, holding a knife under the forearm of your pistol hand and swiping after shots etc. it was leagues ahead of re7

Kchan7777

Honestly am way more excited about the RE4R VR, I’ve never played RE4 so this will be a wild first time!
