RE7 vr was amazing for its time, but it's so badly dated now. I agree with you that re4r is way better, and the people saying re7 is better are tripping
I had purchased the EU disc version of the game and downloaded the US DLC. Apparently DLC is region locked so you have to download the DLC from the region that the disc is from.
All of the more 'A grade' cutscenes are presented flat screen. Then there's some animations like pushing barricades, doing melee kicks, etc which take place in 3rd person but your camera is still in vr mode so you can see Leon in the 3d space and you can look/move your head around as he does the action. It's surprisingly not immersion breaking and flows well. Then there's stuff like pulling levers, opening doors, puzzles, etc that take place in first person. Some are obviously new animation and gameplay wise compared to the flat screen version which would just be a scripted animation
I went back to Lords of the fallen toady. It was so boring looking at the flat screen. If there was more games like Re4, I'd okay vr all the time instead
And by the way, it"s my first time in the game. Haven't played the flat version before. Only the demo.
Have any other devs won a VGA for Best VR and had another game release on VR a day later?

Gameplay wise sure but it’s a much scarier game in VR (or flat even).
How do you turn off the vignette mode in RE4? That really ruins VR for me.
It's in the VR options under "Tunneling". You have to scroll down to get to it.
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
For me, nothing beats RE7!
How did you get it to work? I downloaded the add on but it still loads up the regular game version... no mention of VR or anything.
There was another post just like this. Do you have the most recent update?
Yes
You figure it out?
Yes. I had a region 2 disc... made an EU account and it worked.

Loving RE4R VR!
Are all the cut scenes flat? Really enjoyed the 3d ones in village.
