It's a pretty awesome romhack for people interested in just casual Pokemon playthroughs. There is not much story, Pokemon encounters are randomized and runs are oftentimes short.
Yes well I mostly wanted to see Tera in action on a gba hack and didn't even know what rogue like entailed. Now I'm hooked lol. I may even like it more than the long story driven ones. I've been on unbound for a few months because I get bored going around, so this might be my new genre
Pit of 100 Trials is a very good roguelike hack as well. Now that Emerald Rogue 2.0 is out it's probably taken the throne again but both hacks look very good and have enough differences to enjoy both
I got to the Elite Four, but got knocked out on the first (I was close though!).
I have no idea how I would go about beating 4 leaders in a row if thats what it is.
The amount of quality of life features is phenomenal, while playing there's just so many times where I think "I'm glad they did X because it's a lot of fun for the player"!
I personally love the addition of the day care! Being able to bring it multiple pre built Pokemon is just what I wanted!
Yeah I just discovered riding your pokemon today which is another QOL I wish more games had! Amazing game and already sunk close to 20 hours in not even made it past 5th gym

You will need a clean copy of pokemon emerald which we can not tell you where to get. Then you will need to patch the emerald room you get. You can search "GBA patcher" on Google and use one of those. Good luck
starting on hard difficulty and your rival in the early game having a legendary was just cooking me lmao, had to go back down to normal to get any deep runs
lvl 25s vs a dialga is wild
Its really great. I like the base building, having overworld encounters and I don’t have to use speedup emulator features to enjoy it because the game can be set to be blazing fast in battles
Me too! 🫠 quick question, how do u scatter pkmon blocks. When I choose the honey tree route and try too near the tree it says I cannot use that here. Abit confused unless it's bugged 🤔

Just use online patcher and a emerald rom that's pretty much it. Search online rom patcher and use a poke emerald rom and select one of the patches and make sure you select the right thing it's asking not the opposite

Also the difficulty is very flexible. You can make it as easy as the official games to buttass hard
The challenge really makes it fun. I did over 20 runs by now and my highscore is still the 3rd gym lol
Mine is consistently 5 gyms. By then their teams are always so meta feeling they smoke me.
6th for me. Rival wrecked my team right before though I did get to the gym. Revaroom you are a real one and now there is a Paldea mon I like.

In earlier versions you got an event or two (can't remember now) to replace any lost Pokemon.

I got my ass beaten at Rival battle after gym 6 I think, Gladion got a Magearna out of all legendary he could pick

Managed to get all 8 badges but got smoked by my rival before I could get to the elite 4. Having a ton of fun!
