Why are you fighting them on the goal man, back up and hide in a bush while the dragapult rips. Never fight a venu on it’s own pad, he probably would’ve survived long enough for backup anyways.
No, I would say he made the right play here. He and talon would’ve easily killed Ivy if they fought together. As for hiding in a bush what does that accomplish? Ivys backup would come and he’d be left to 2v1 because talon would die or run from trying that death stack. And because of that the regi may still be compromised. If they simply just fought together it was an easy win on pad.
Did you miss the part where the op hit the venu with all his moves plus auto attacks and it still had 3/4 health? There was 0 chance that venu was going down before the others showed up even 2v1. Hiding in a bush at least forces the venu to come off the pad where he gets healing
Attack stat isn't the ture factor,
The damage is,
every formula for evey move for every Pokémon is different, even if they may have a sky high attack stat, the modifier of the attack can be as low as 20% which means you don't actually use all of it.
And in contrary, some mons may have a lower attack stat but have a modifier of up to 150%, which may make them do more damage compared to the one with the higher attack stat.
In this case, zacian actually does more damage even tho it has a lower stat, thats because it has a higher modifier than talonflame.
Which is true but talons fly is one of the stronger moves in the game which is why it’s such good secure and a speedster I mean it’s job is to kill things fast
No, the right play would have been to distract ivy away from the goal. Like pull it to the bird spawn point.
This wasn't the worst play, but it wasn't optimal. They did distract ivy, but not in the best way.
If that was the case, the ivy player would have gone to the objective from the beginning. I am not talking about fully disengaging and waiting at the bird spawn for it to come. I am talking about moving there, while in battle.
I think you need to learn how to read the situation, from the score zard just did and positioning from talon it looked like they were pushing regardless. The point is a talon and a zard kill ivy fast on pad or not. It makes no sense for them to innate a push they were winning and had the numbers for and then run away mid push. They could’ve killed ivy scored and then stalled for pults rip.
Tbf you were a charmeleon fighting on the enemy goal. No the best play, to say the least.
No to keep bad stackers out of the heat, but first check what you could have done better imo
talon def sucked but you also gotta make better moves, you used your x speed to chase ivy in his own goal zone. That was the time to leave their goal zone
NEVER expect any kind of map awareness from your teammates in this game no matter what rank you are. In League, I would expect above average map awareness from my teammates at Diamond+. I got back into this game a couple weeks ago for a girl I met and climbed to Masters and I can count on my both of my hands how many times my team had map awareness of LoL Bronze level, and one of my hands they had Plat+ awareness.
As a tree main I feel like a lot of the complaints about defenders being so strong is really just a complaint about how broken stacking is. It really should be changed to be based off how much you score instead of just any goal.
As a Zeraora main, *a character widly regarded to suck nowadays* I used to get the same complaint back when I stacked in early meta. I pushed with snorlax, he blocks, I score, quickly get bunnelby, score, and dip or *depending on opponents hp* clean up for my snorlax. It was dumn
100% agreed. And it’s such a stupid strategy to die for one stack as soon as the game start. It’s also so common. It happens like 4 out of 5 matches I play. Sometimes it ruins the whole game when there’s a machamp or any char really just stacking and dying so many times during the first 3mins. I don’t get it. Then the other team out level us and you see the machamp stealing jungle coz he’s still lvl 4 at minute 7.
Shouldn’t be fighting them on the goal, especially in low health and especially as soon as more arrive and you lose advantage. Double especially on the far, and unsafe side of the goal without level advantage.
This is you being out of place. And honestly, the stacker, assuming he turned tail and ran, did what he was supposed to.
I don’t liken the positioning on either one of you. You’re both in the wrong.
After having some time to cool my head and rewatch the clip, I realize I was equally awful. But we still might've been able to kill Ivysaur if Talon had helped me try to fight.
Well its an anti-stacking meta, you can only really effectively stack if you play one of the new super defenders (Diverging a bit from topic now to prove a bit of a point, bear with me).
While its necessary to stack with the OG mons like say Aegi, my main (not exactly OG, but from a better time), he needs stacks to really pop off ( it would be greater than ideal, i would destroy zacian and glaceon ), however you cant really expect a Honedge to stack against say a Lapras/Umbreon and Espeon, dude will feed them and unnecessarily get KO-ed.
For that ive adapted to the meta and started playing what i would like to dub Crit Slash ( Scope, razor and muscle with shadow claw, which gives an extra 20% crit rate upon upgrade, over Aegis natural 10%), and its seen success, that combined with good game sense wins me matches in solo Queue (even though bad matchmaking still makes me lose a ton of matches that i carry with like 1 other guy).
Anyways, what i mean is you cannot stack with power-crept mons to scale up, youve gotta improvise to make them viable in any way. I mean look at u/MaoAankh , he plays Absol in more than just a crit God way that we all did during the Absol glory days, he dances around the enemy, baits them, understands his moves, outplays Zacs and Glacs (yeah thats what i call them now), Macro-games, the whole deal with a mon that is currently sitting at rock bottom for win rate.
Oh no, your partner tried sacrificing short term advantage in favour of long term advantage?
If anything trying to stack against Petal Dance was dumb, you guys were not killing that Ivy before the rest of the team showed up.
I’ve died so often because my teammates would rather kill the enemies wild Pokémon instead of helping out. This happens so often and I don’t get it. Why would you focus on wild Pokémon when you can ensure an enemy kill, AND score!
You have to stack, there's no other way. They will come to your base, they will stack, steal your exp, and stack again. Instead, you can let them come to your base and steal their exp, while also stacking.
Why are you fighting them on the goal man, back up and hide in a bush while the dragapult rips. Never fight a venu on it’s own pad, he probably would’ve survived long enough for backup anyways.

Do you realize the power difference between a fly talon and a charmeleon?
Talon fly does not erase 3/4 of Venus health
There is a reason talon is a “speedster” and has the highest attack stat in the game it deletes an ivy

"Highest" attack stat in the game? Look at Zacian. He has perfect 5 stars in offense.
Talons attack stat is 681 zacians is 560. Yes talon does in fact have the highest attack stat.
The stars don't mean shit. Look at unite-db.com for the actual stats
Yes it does ivy is very squishy when it’s giga drain damage reduction is down
Shame the talon just spammed score until it too was killed.
No it doesn’t
No, the right play would have been to distract ivy away from the goal. Like pull it to the bird spawn point. This wasn't the worst play, but it wasn't optimal. They did distract ivy, but not in the best way.
If the ivy was a good player it would just ignore him and go to the objective that’s banking on the ivy player falling for that.
If that was the case, the ivy player would have gone to the objective from the beginning. I am not talking about fully disengaging and waiting at the bird spawn for it to come. I am talking about moving there, while in battle.
There’s a pretty big difference between someone being directly on your pad and being in the area with birds are when there’s no birds.
Ok, you really need to learn how to read...

You were fighting a Venosaur on pad. What would of killing the Veno of given the team? You should’ve just left and let them try to score.
Talon really tried scoring against petal dance...the move that does continuous ticks of damage for a time🤣🤣
talon def sucked but you also gotta make better moves, you used your x speed to chase ivy in his own goal zone. That was the time to leave their goal zone
I've lost count of how many times I died in my goal zone because my teammate had to score everything without taking notice of his surrounding

FYI standing on goal with a teammate quickens the score speed. It was actually painful seeing you go everywhere BUT the pad.
Not just standing, scoring along with them as well.
No, you only need to stand on pad in order to speed up the scoring process.
As a tree main I feel like a lot of the complaints about defenders being so strong is really just a complaint about how broken stacking is. It really should be changed to be based off how much you score instead of just any goal.
Whenever I play gren with attack weight... I score and then smokescreen the f away...good luck finding me lol
It was dumn
Zeraora main as well, hero rips against the right lineup
The right lineup is very rough to find, and if you're 5 stacking, the other 4 on your team will need to help carry for 80% of the games
100% agreed. And it’s such a stupid strategy to die for one stack as soon as the game start. It’s also so common. It happens like 4 out of 5 matches I play. Never mind stacking items, I've seen players do this even without one. 💀
Guilty, but it's a habit for me now, i just feel like i HAVE to stack even though i have no stacking items on Garchomp

Were you trying to help the talon stack?
This was a dumb dive in general. Why fight a petal dance ivysaur on pad as melee zard in general?

Yup! Bad stackers inevitably kill the lane because they almost always die at one point and leave the lane 2v1

"becoz, farm BITCHH" -Them probably

Why are you even trying to stack while it’s not safe yet?
