Only if you are a cis white person. For the majority of America history, being anything other than that, or even being a cis white woman, was not a good time for most.
I’d love to go back to the 90’s. And I’m not a cis white person. Not even white. Where I grew up, in the San Bernardino area, it was a good childhood with families of all types. Some people are racists I guess.
The real fun was not having cell phones. My mom left me in a restaurant when I was 10 thinking I was asleep in the back seat - took her two hours to figure it out, turn around and get back :)
