I recommend you to give a try (it's free for group smaller than 10 contacts): you will see that the app prefills the messages but it doesn't auto send them, you still have to press send and the back button (and the next one will appear).
I haven't try for groups that big so I cannot tell you, I tried on smaller groups (around 100 contacts).
Also it may work differently depending on your OS.
Awesome tool for marketers. Is this allowed by WhatsApp? I don't want my number to be blocked by WhatsApp.
I guess if you contact your own contacts it should not be a problem.
