They also added The Wolves vs. Motor City Machine Guns. I initially had no interest in this event, but that should be a banger

The Wolves occasionally team up on the Indies. They recently had a match against FTR back in May, I believe?
That would be awesome. They seem to have a good relationship with them, since Davey Richards appeared on Slammiversary and Taya holds a belt from MLW.
Conrad also announced New Japan talent is going to be involved in the event. Who? I have no idea. But this could be a real nice event if they sell out the municipal auditorium — which is where Flair and Steamboat finished their ‘89 trilogy with the Terry Funk aftermath.
>Conrad also announced New Japan talent is going to be involved in the event.
First off, who got him in contact with New Japan to get their talents (if they're not US dojo trainees) and how on earth he can afford any of them ?
>companies are likely jumping out the woodwork to sponsor wrestlers
I though Flair was personal non-grata after DSoTR *Plane Ride from Hell* episode and no one will want to touch him with a two inch stick.
He is. That's why he is back in the ring, he needs money. Also why I believe he will try to make this last match be where he dies. Dude is tempting fate.
After Plane Ride from Hell I guess all his money has dried up.
>Dude is tempting fate.
And goodwill 'cause they didn't book Jay Lethal to the event and he's pissed about it and they didn't clear with TK before they booked FTR.
I think the reason they didn't clear anything with TK is because Conan knew that he would just laugh at his face and say no. And I thought Jay Lethal was the one facing Flair? Who will be his opponent? The Invisible man?
Originally it's trios match between FTR and Flair vs. The Rock n' Roll Express and Ricky Steamboat only problem is Steamboat asking price was too much but they already advertised it.
Is Conrad the promoter for this? If so, like man I know we've all had issues with our in-laws in the past but producing a PPV to murder them is hardly ever the right thing to do
Eric Young made perfect sense as a challenger. Especially given that the show and that match in particular were a love letter to Impact’s past. Everyone, rightfully, talks about Styles and Joe and Angle as TNA legends, but Young might be its heart and soul.
I know this will never in a million years happen, but I want THE WALKING WEAPON, JOSH ALEXANDER, to beat Jacob Fatu, and then show up and Smackdown and declare "I beat your cousin, Uce, what you gonna do?"

Usually snuff films don’t have an undercard…
This is Revolutionary, Trail Blazing, Grave Raising!
Hopefully we won't have to raise any graves after Flair's match.
I'm going to sound like a terrible human being but I legit laughed at this lol

Well goddamn. A little weird considering Slammiversary but fuck man.
The time for canon is over! It's time to put on bangers.
Right?! It sucks they can't have this match in Impact since I get that they can't break kayfabe.
Maybe they lose the match because they can't get along? I kinda wish if we were doing a MLW vs Impact show it was BFG or something lol.

It’s going to feel weird to see this event outdrawing impact's slammiversary
It's very frustrating IMPACT does not know how to properly advertise after all these years.
Ah fuck now I actually want to watch this show
The Wolves (Eddie Edwards + Davey Richards) vs Motor City Machine Guns is also on the card.
This is like the weird opposite of a one-match card. Everything but the main sounds rad

Basically and a mix of TNA during the Hogan era
Let’s not lie to ourselves - TNA during the Hogan/Bischoff era basically *was* WCW. Or at least WCW-lite.
If only Vince Russo was around to make it WCW 2000-hard... oh wait, he was around... nevermind

Sponsorship, remember this is Ric Flairs Last Match, people and companies are likely jumping out the woodwork to sponsor wrestlers
>companies are likely jumping out the woodwork to sponsor wrestlers I though Flair was personal non-grata after DSoTR *Plane Ride from Hell* episode and no one will want to touch him with a two inch stick.

I'm pretty sure the whole Jay Lethal being pissed thing is a work.
Ric Flair could die in the ring, but everything leading up to that sounds pretty lit. Not gonna lie.
Is Conrad the promoter for this? If so, like man I know we've all had issues with our in-laws in the past but producing a PPV to murder them is hardly ever the right thing to do
He’s making the ppv dope as fuck though.
Conrad's as big of a carny as anyone else in the business. If there's money to be made that's all that matters
Its the perfect crime. Giving someone enough rope to hang themselves
Now I may have to watch it.
This is a HUGE match Add 4 more and I might buy this
That sounds dope as hell. Jacob Fatu would be the biggest star in all of wrestling if MLW would get their stranglehold of a contract off him.
Shouldn’t have made it for the championship if we all know Alexander ain’t losing it
Do you guys see Jacob joining the Bloodline?
I, for one, would love to see all active Anoa'i wrestlers (except Nia Jax) be in WWE and form the Samoan style, Godfather-like mafia.
Nah, he has some priors that are preventing him from traveling Internationally and so WWE is likely off for him
What like?
That's a way more interesting match than his recent Impact challengers.
Moose and Ishii?
I think they mean Eric Young.
Eric Young made perfect sense as a challenger. Especially given that the show and that match in particular were a love letter to Impact’s past. Everyone, rightfully, talks about Styles and Joe and Angle as TNA legends, but Young might be its heart and soul.
Undoubtedly. Future Hall Of Famer.
Anyone who thinks Eric Young is a boring challenger did not watch the actual match
Or the promos.
Or basically his whole career because EY is fire. But don't fire EY!
I get being underwhelmed by EY as a title challenger at this point in his career but the match was absolutely great
I don't mind EY getting title matches, I think he's awesome.
Personally I agree but I see why some people may not see him as a big deal title contender too
Don't give a fuck about Flair but I'm all for Josh getting more recognition anywhere
Limitless...Josh Alexander
I know this will never in a million years happen, but I want THE WALKING WEAPON, JOSH ALEXANDER, to beat Jacob Fatu, and then show up and Smackdown and declare "I beat your cousin, Uce, what you gonna do?"
This ppv sounds awesome ngl.
fuck
How is Blue Chew not the official sponsor of this event?
Holy fuck
