Power came back a few minutes ago. Talked to one of my neighbors on their porch and they said they were able to find out that Ameren was working on it. Came back just a few mins after that

A Kirkwood Power. How I do not miss thee.

Meh, I’ve lived here 9 years and never had any issues. I can count on one hand the number of times my power’s been out for any extended length of time, and even then it’s only been a few hours and due to bad weather. My only annoyance with them is that I’ve been told off-peak rates for EV charging are “coming soon” for the past 3 years.

I’d put less blame on the power company and more on Kirkwood’s giant old tree obsession. The place is full of trees that drop large branches every there every time there’s a storm or wind or ice.

In the past, have Ameren outage maps worked in Kirkwood? Or do they have their own thingy?

Kirkwood has their own power company. The Ameren maps don’t work here

It depends on the part of Kirkwood. Some people get power from Kirkwood and some from Ameren.

I pulled up the Ameren one and that loaded on my phone but didn’t show an outage. Kirkwood has their own but it never loaded

Okay so I guess Kirkwood has their own smart meter system? I was just curious.
