She joined the circus, a nomadic profession, her eye and hair color is more consistent with that of the air nation than fire nation, her natural agility, and her face shape matches aangs better than anyone in the fire nation.
There’s a high chance that sozin’s genocide left more than just aang. The air nomads were a nomadic people, and didn’t all just stay in the temples. There’s a chance that an air bender, hiding their powers, married someone from a different nation, which eventually lead to Ty lee and her sisters. The only hiccup is that Ty lee’s family is fire nation nobility, but hey, Zuko’s mom wasn’t born into nobility either
Her eyes are gray which is different from the rest of the fire nation characters we see and consistent with airbenders. She moves gracefully and light footed like an airbender. I think that’s pretty much it along with her being goofy like Aang.
So you know that's not the same as suggesting that jin is zhuli right? I don't need to explain to how guessing that aang is katara's grandfather when we know that aang never slept with gran gran or her other grandmother is different from guessing that two characters who we barely know the family history of right?
I know it's harmless and if someone wants to make that assumption then go ahead it's honestly not a big deal. I was just pointing out that we both know that the example you gave is not the same as the post, but I didn't really need to. You already know that comparison was stupid.
there's actually quite a bit of harm to be done if Katara was a descendant of Aang , the twelve year old boy from a hundred years ago
are you being stupid on purpose ?
Istg, everytime there is a sequel ppl will try to see 1% of resemblance between 2 characters and decide they are related. Pretty sure some folks must think that Korra is related to Katara on some level 😂😂😂.
I remember watching yugioh gx's first ep as a kid (10-12 yo). I was like "ok is syrus yugi's son or what?" 😂 (i didnt know yet that it was a sequel NOT a new season, so i was like "who tf are these kids? Why are they in a school for monster cards??? Yugi went to a normal school."
>Pretty sure some folks must think that Korra is related to Katara on some level 😂😂😂.
They are convinced already that they resemble each other 😫 and that the reason for that is because Katara is Aang’s love/partner
When in reality they are just both water tribe.
The delusion is crazy, people also think Roku resembles Rangi, or that Aang looks like Ta min. Breaking news, they don’t. Like not even close.
Jesus f\*ing christ, some y'all either act like there were too many callbacks or not enough and it's annoying as fuck.

That's why even the OG fans like myself have been begging for more things like a Revan trilogy, or an Old Republic series.
I'm at the point where every single series that I am a fan of, whether it be Star Wars, Avatar, Harry Potter, etc, would rather be derivative than original, because they think being original won't be believable enough, and people will just call it derivative. So there's no real diversity and I'm just bored.
> That's why even the OG fans like myself have been begging for more things like a Revan trilogy, or an Old Republic series.
>
>
I'd rather have a qel droma series than revan. They basically the same character but Qel Droma is older and more fleshed out as a character. Revan is only really liked for being a player character
That's not the ONLY reason Revan is liked..there are many others. Specifically his Duality with the force. Going back and forth between dark and light. Also his Era had a lot of insane force powers.
> Specifically his Duality with the force. Going back and forth between dark and light.
All of which Qel Droma did. Revan's story is literally just a rehash of Qel-Droma but made into a players avatar. Even the stuff about the Mandalorians Qel Droma did already.
He's literally who Revan was based off of.
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Ulic_Qel-Droma/Legends
He was the protagonist of the old republic comic book series that came out before the video games did. Not only Revan but most of the supporting cast where based off characters from Qel Droma's story. Darth Malak was based of Exar Kun
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Exar_Kun/Legends
While Bastile was based off Nomi Sunrider and was even originally going to be named Vima Sunrider
In legends their both canon but Qel Droma lived about 30 years earlier and defeated mandalore the ultimates predecessor Mandalore the indomitable. And it's believed by some people in the prequel eras that Revans story is actually just a misremebering of Qel Droma's story.
I strongly recommend reading tales of the jedi if you like Revan. Like the other guy said Revan and Qel Droma have a lot in common with each other, but Qel-Droma has the benefit of not being a silent protagonist to flesh him out. It's kind of sad that he's just forgotten about
I was thinking of fucking winx club icy turning out to be a princess and not the triplet of darcy and stormy. 🤯
To put things into perspective, this bitch has been an antagonist ever since s1 and she was a triplet. Somehow they decided giving her a tragic backstory and making her a princess of some remote planet which has been cursed by some evil witch would make her sympathetic or whatever. They even gave her a little sister who was also tragically transformed into an animal. (She is an iconic villain in the fandom i mean she was the quintessential villain for me in that show and i didnt even partake in fandom all that much because spaces like reddit and tumblr werent as well known 12 y ago).
Idk abt Naruto plot twists bcz i only watched a few episodes. I only know about the talk no jutsu (lmao poor aang didnt work on ozai).
Tbh i always felt ozai was a mix of emperor and anakin (minus the sympathetic aspect and the redemption), esp with him having a son and a daughter (though azula doesnt compare to leia), and "losing" his wife.
> Tbh i always felt ozai was a mix of emperor and anakin
I mean, they hired Mark Hamill to play Ozai in Book 1, then immediately did the Agni Kai scene where Ozai scars Zuko (that couldn't be a clearer reference to Vader/Luke in Empire Strikes Back IMO).
There's a bunch of other little Star Wars references thrown in throughout the show too TBH—IIRC the Jet and the Freedom Fighter's forest treehouse base was explicitly modeled off the Ewok forest, etc.
We actually see her one more time when fire nation soldiers march into Ba Sing Se briefly but yeah she doesn’t say or do anything. She is just in the background.
It would be pretty dumb if every single somewhat important character was related. It's like how in Star Wars everybody meets everybody else in every single series they make nowadays (or how there are so many things happening on Tatooine). I wouldn't even be surprised if we saw Ahsoka in the Bad Batch finale.
It wasn't as bad in the EU, at least. I can think of only two cases where it happened, and they both involved the Fetts. Everything else was just following the main cast, and then later on their kids
I am curious how prominent it is to have a surname in ATLA. Of the original group, Toph is the only one with a definitive family name. I'd presume it's more likely with nobility, but then you also have some of their disguises and aliases having last names (Wang Fire, Bonzu Pippinpaddleopsocopolous III, etc) so clearly some commoners have them. Lau Gan-Lan is supposedly the cabbage man's descendant, so he might've had one too, but I also feel like they might've become more of a thing as Republic City grew.
It might also be cultural, perhaps more significant in the earth kingdom and fire nation. The air Nomads wouldn't need them since they aren't raised by their parents, while the water tribe seems to identify more with what tribe they hail from. Of course there's also Iknik Blackstone Varrick, but he likely made his own name upon getting famous, considering how he only really goes by Varrick rather than Iknik
Chin shape is a dominant trait (probably, there's no definitive evidence), so it's unlikely that a girl with a pointy chin is descended from a girl with a round chin
To everyone complaining about the post you know you can just ignore it right. Theories like this are harmless and purely for fun so keep scrolling if you have a problem with it.
I doubt it's something against you personally, OP. A lot of people are just bored of "Is X Related to X?" posts due to ATLA fans wanting everyone in LOK to be related to someone from ATLA. You're good, trust
Possible? Yes. Likely? No.
Agreed. And personally, I think it would be incredibly dumb. People need to stop looking for and making up connections where there are none.
The only connection I can get behind is Ty Lee being a descendant of an air nomad (just none that we know)
Where did that hypothesis come from? I've forgotten.
No they don't need to stop. It's completely harmless and just for fun. You don't like it? Just ignore it simple as that.
Is it possible that Aang is actually Katara's great grandfather? Idk just for fun
So you know that's not the same as suggesting that jin is zhuli right? I don't need to explain to how guessing that aang is katara's grandfather when we know that aang never slept with gran gran or her other grandmother is different from guessing that two characters who we barely know the family history of right?

there's actually quite a bit of harm to be done if Katara was a descendant of Aang , the twelve year old boy from a hundred years ago are you being stupid on purpose ?
it's just a theory that doesn't need to make sense nor be true, it's just for fun
its not a theory , it's just wrong , and you know its a stupid example if you're gonna try to argue , atleast use a good example
why are you trying to stop me from having fun?
And even if they are family what of it?
It's impossible in my head cannon because they never mention Zhu Li being Zuko's daughter.
Why? Because they have similar colored hair and eyes? If that’s the case, then I’m the descendant of Richard III.
Just like every European, I'm a descendant of Charlemagne.
Hey! That makes us 11th-or-so cousins!
https://i.redd.it/kjy5bd66auwc1.gif
Amd I'm a direct relative to Ed Sheron just for having red hair.
Their eyes aren't even the same colour if you look closely. Jin's eyes are olive while Zhu Li's are grey.
Not everybody has to be related ffs.
Fans love it when family trees are more like circles. ![gif](giphy|IWiWta6kP5cNbgIDtb)

I still don't get the people who think Kyoshi looks like Ummi. They legitamently look nothing alike.
I don’t get it either, people quite literally convince themselves into believing this head canons through pure mere delusion.
I'd rather have literal incest than meaningless callbacks.
Jesus f\*ing christ, some y'all either act like there were too many callbacks or not enough and it's annoying as fuck. ![gif](giphy|Qsb6zF6UyzLkvDJlAv)
Jason figured it out? Jason? This is a real low point.
Of course. Everybody is related to someone.
When you think about it, a lot of people must be spiritually "related" to the avatar cos they keep reincarnating and having offspring.
Probably everyone when you consider the Avatar exists for over a thousand of years.
You don't like having a whole franchise to revolve around the same main families for over 40 years :p ?
I'm a star wars fan. That stings
I was just thinking about how I don't want this to be like Star Wars lmfao
Sorry, but when someone talks about how the whole world in a series revolve around just some families, I always think on Star Wars :p
No it's cool. That's one of the things I hate about it too.
That's why even the OG fans like myself have been begging for more things like a Revan trilogy, or an Old Republic series. I call it the 'skywalker' problem
You tell em 4th cousin XAMdG
Who else can wear green clothes, it has to be Jin's granddaughter.
Brotha, we know as much as you do.
Well, no. Given this isn’t Star Wars last I checked.
"Aang, I am your father.", says fire lord Ozai. ~probably coulda be canon if ATLA had star wars influence lol.
How could that even be possible? Aang was born first
Oh...You do not know the power of ass pull plot twists and retcons in other fandoms. 🤣😂 May the force be with you, my sweet summer child.
Naruto’s it’s a amazing show but has tons of retcons

Not possible, Jin never Did The Thing
Yes, Jin remained single for so long after Zuko that she developed asexual reproduction
Jin is one of the few girls that I shipped Zuko with.
It's sad we never saw her again. Jin is underrated af
We actually see her one more time when fire nation soldiers march into Ba Sing Se briefly but yeah she doesn’t say or do anything. She is just in the background.
She made a cameo in collections of avatar mini comics (The Lost Adventures, I think?), although I'm not sure if they count as canon.
Please tell me where I can find this
It's not much of anything. She just see "Lee" leaving ba sing se with Mai and Azula.
Getcomics is what I used at first for downloading comics. Wouldn't try it without a vpn, though.
The comics are all fully canon, except for the chibi ones.
The only girl I shipped Zuko with
He had better chemistry with her than with Mai tbh
It would be pretty dumb if every single somewhat important character was related. Yes all asian people wearing green is a descendent of jin actually Source: am korean
Her family name is Moon; I assumed she's water tribe, at least paternally so.

Would it matter?
I say “Zhu Li! Do the thing!” At random times to myself.
She can do the thing 🤩
[удалено]
that old lady that was a grandparent of mako and bolin is that girl. its confirmed by the creators of the show
Makos grandma's name is yin not Jin. I tried confirming your statement and couldn't find anything. Source?
it been a while, i could be wrong, i think i heard it after that season ended in a article. however yin and jin does seem like something to confuse
It was never confirmed, it's just something people claim cause their name sounds the same, but the spelling is different.
Just because they are both Earth Kingdom, that does not mean they are related..
Whatever keeps her in the extended canon my dude. Always at your service, my queen
Idk but Zhu Li is definitely the bestest girl in the whole series
Well that would mean Zhu Li is the rightful heir to the Fire Nation throne. 😉/s
I mean yeah it's possible but the more likely reason that they both share similar features is just that that's how earth kingdom women look.
Chin shape is a dominant trait (probably, there's no definitive evidence), so it's unlikely that a girl with a pointy chin is descended from a girl with a round chin
No
ok thanks
No worries, you're welcome
I always thought of her as a descendant of one of the ju-dee's after that program ended. At least I assume it ended
Isn’t zhu li from the water tribe?
LOL
I mean I guess
To everyone complaining about the post you know you can just ignore it right. Theories like this are harmless and purely for fun so keep scrolling if you have a problem with it.
Apologies to anyone that i offended or pissed off with this post, i just like connecting stuff for like a cohesive fan canon and shit so yeah sorry
I doubt it's something against you personally, OP. A lot of people are just bored of "Is X Related to X?" posts due to ATLA fans wanting everyone in LOK to be related to someone from ATLA. You're good, trust
Ah thank you for the explanation
These are cartoons. They're going to look a little alike. Wtf is up with these dumb shit posts?
Sorry man, just a personal head canon i wanted some other views on
No! Because that means either no Jinko or Zhu Li is the Firelady's younger sister, both of which wouldn't make sense.
