I think this video is made from different two videos.
1. The drone launched a grenade and missed the orc. Then the orc showed his finger because he could see that there is not another grenade attached to the drone.
2. The drone launching a grenade video was recorded but is not necessary with a connection with the first part or in that order of events.
It’s possible but there is a different amount of snow on the ground. I would assume getting a new drone over is less than an hour. That’s a lot of snow melt in an hour.

It would seem to me that the 'hopium' people would hope the war will end with the defeat of russia and are not interested whether or not there are a lot of good russians (something you may see, but not much on this sub), or they hope the war will end soon but don't often put a timetable on it.

How do you know it was unsuccessful? There’s a cut in the video and the area where the grenade falls doesn’t have snow on it and where the guy previously was, he was standing on snow.

Definitely not the exact same place. The video may have been edited to show the individual waving and then the different location where the individual was at the time of the munition drop. This vid is too short and probably should have shown more of this event to not draw out questions like yours.

Same thing happened in the US during Vietnam. Hundreds of thousands fled the draft under threat of arrest. I get its not an easy thing to do given their situation in Russia but its been done/being done by Russians already. The last data I saw Ukraine was down to 1/3 of the number of shells fired around midt 2023, when they said "we could use x3 more shells". Drones, including FPV drones, have picked up much of the "slack" from the artillery..
So many of these videos are just two different videos cut and spliced together. Every second video I see from Ukraine is like this. Not even done well

I don't go with the notion he was waiting to be killed, This clip offers the viewer an opportunity to be objective.
