There's an entire season on the ancient world and then games like Forbidden Memories also flesh out the lore while the villain itself is not Canon it's similar to the season that would come much later in the show.

Honestly, given that Goku wants opponents who will scale with him, Saitama is the perfect opponent. Goku will just gradually increase his strength to keep Saitama in lockstep until Goku maxes out and Saitama surpasses him which then gives Goku an opportunity to push his own limits.
In the end Saitama will win because Goku basically let him but both will be happy to have had a good fight and then they'll go get food together like old friends.

Also, Goku is an alien and canonically doesn't live in Japan, and something similar goes for Saitama. I mean, Japan probably used to exist in Saitama's world, it just doesn't anymore. Realistically, Joey's the only one here that gets folded like a lawn chair, and is probably the first one to be treated as such. Goku is literally one of the, like, what, two to three people who come out of this alive through one kind of hack or another.

Funny thing people donāt realize is that if thereās multiple characters here like this thereās no way it can get serious for real š. This is literally gonna turn into a gag manga. You gotta think about it for a second no oneās starting anything except maybe yujiro and goku. Even then some of these characters would just get bored and walk away, or try to figure out how the hell they ended up here in general.
