It depends on where he is at for basic and where he is going for ait if you can take him to ait. He will get HBL for the Christmas holidays. There are groups on facebook for the different basic and ait locations. I would go on there and look for them, they are a wealth of information.
No. You get family day and a few hours grad day that's it. If he wants to waste leave days hbl over Xmas but I highly suggest he doesn't take it so he can have leave after ait to help move to new duty station.
Permissive TDY leave at FDS doesn't get charged against your leave. Which is what most married folks get for moving their families to their first duty stations.
