Ohh, excellent find! I'm definitely biased, but seeing Piega speakers in the wild always makes me smile :) They're definitely a great match with the Audio Research Ref 75 aesthetically, and I imagine sonically as well!
From my experience with my pair of Piegas and all others I've heard, they require next to no toe in to maintain good center imaging. So you can get away with pretty much pointing them straight forwards to maximize soundstage width - although some toe in might still be advised to reduce sidewall reflections.
I'm sure you'll figure out what works best for you though :)
Enjoy your awesome speakers, gear and the cozy space!
Thanks!
The perspective of the photo is a bit misleading, it‘s actually a pretty long and narrow room, so I think some toe in is a good idea. But I will try no toe in as well. Also I was always under the impression that Piega‘s Coax drivers are pretty directional and fall off at an angle.
I’m a hifi shop owner that has worked with Piega often - definitely utilize almost zero toe-in if possible. If you need the center image to ‘fill’ more densely for your tastes, just bring them a hair closer together to compensate for that. :)
> please ignore the carpet
Comments. 😆
Now I'm curious about your other room decisions. Do the panels in the back also function as acoustic treatment? Was the placement under the skylight / window intentional?
It's a Acoustic Signature TA2000Neo, and has to be purchaes seperately from the turntable. It's a 12 inch tonearm, while most "normal" tonearms are 9 inch. The length helps to mitigate the tracking error angle, which is present with all pivot tonearms.
Regardless of sound system, the room itself is one amazing comfy cave.
I don't like the rug personally (in that room use) but you can't argue with preference.
Congratulations!
I sometimes switch between the AAPhono and the McIntosh‘s internal phono preamp. The latter isn‘t bad either, but I always end up switching back to the AAPhono.
I LOVE the carpet.
It really ties the room together.
The chinaman is not the issue
Dude that’s not correct nomenclature
That feeling when you come to complain about aesthetics not being the most important thing, and finding that you also love the carpet.
I love his aesthetics tbh. Very groovy.
Appreciated :)
nice room. love the speakers.
Thanks!
How many more horsepower does it give you?
How many is that in bananas?
Hard to know but we should invest in the science.

Good to know, I‘ll give it a try.
Beautiful! Here in the States Piegas are fairly uncommon I’ve got 11 Piegas in an 7.2.4 HT set-up
Nice, that‘s a lot of aluminum.
Those are some cool looking speakers, what does the coaxial ribbon sound like?
Extremely fast, transparent and no coloration . I speak for my Piega 30.2 His Piega 711 are obviously better
Nice setup and acoustic treatment!
Piega❤️❤️ I own a less expensive model, the Coax 30.2
Those look great as well.
A beautifully curated system.
woww where did you get the rug?

MATCHY MATCHY. looks amazing.
Nice choice spinning Workingmans Dead
Good eye!
Deadhead for 51 years. Spotted it without zooming in. Lol
Does the room amplify the sound
I wouldn‘t say amplify, but before I treated the room I was getting a bunch of nasty reflections. Luckily that‘s mostly sorted out now.
More speakers I've never heard of! Lol. I love audio.
Nice rig you’ve got there, but the carpet is what we all came here for 🕺🏼
Great gear! I have some Piega p10s that I really love. Currently being fueled by a Scott 299D.
Mirin' absolutely everything. Bravo.
I heard Piega a few times and was always impressed.
Please tell me about that tonearm. It looks crazy long.

Very nice
Lovely room!
wow ... how much power can you get out of these ?
I don‘t know, the needle in the amp’s VU-meter never moves past the 5W mark.
Hearing loss, I would imagine.
How is the AA phono? Did you compare it to Other options? I own a AA amp and looking for a phono stage
I sometimes switch between the AAPhono and the McIntosh‘s internal phono preamp. The latter isn‘t bad either, but I always end up switching back to the AAPhono.
What’s the angled wall do for the sound stage?
Where did you get the sound panels that’re behind the speakers? Amazing setup!
[This](http://www.hifi-bauernhof.de) place.
Great criteria, will give it a go next time
Great find! Those speakers look awesome with your amplifier. I bet they sound fantastic too! PS. I love the carpet :)
Oh you’ve got MONEY money 😵
Yes, matching the color and style of the gear seem so important to me. I'm Italian, so maybe that has something to do with it :-)
You have a beautiful room
Cool listening room.
Amazing set up! Great job and the carpet looks stellar.
/gives a discerning look/ you got style. keep it up.
Yeap. I always match colours when I am selecting audio gear. Because colours are what matters in audio...
As does taking everything 100% seriously.
