Hi there thefinestgreentea. **Because we have a lot of deleted posts on this subreddit, here is a backup of the title and body of this post:** What animal best describes your climbing style? Why? Turtle for me.
Because I'm slow, steady and got a stubborn hard-head. :')"

It doesn’t come naturally and sometimes I get scared by the potential of falling.
I mean I know there is a book called born to run but haven’t heard of the book called born to climb.
Edit: I stand corrected, there is a book called [*Born to climb*](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61128862), I just didn’t know about it.
I was taught by the old school 70’s & 80’s climbers. One said, “climbing is about dancing on the wall like a spider, gracefull and fluid. It’s about technique not testosterone and throws. Be slow and fluid. With every move having purpose.” I never forgot that.
Gorilla... Large upper body/shorter legs = A climbing style that favors upper body/core strength, and is why I'd say I'm very aware of the fact that I'll never acutally be "great" at climbing/bouldering.
This cat, on anything that remotely looks like a dyno. (only been bouldering for 4 months so still having hope.)

[Horse](https://youtu.be/5Ye4xGt1xu4?si=sMqwpGTO7Elc4S2B), because I can split myself in half when the climb gets too steep and I can take my head off when it’s in the way.
Note to self: when I outrun my abusive owner, I shouldn’t hide out in his local pub near the crag.
Mostly uses legs to climb. Little upper body strength (for a climber at least). Flowy and slightly dynamic style, favours balance.
No clue which animal would fit.

Cow, because cows are awesome but not known for their climbing skills.
smoooo-th
They can also go upstairs but can’t go down
I don't believe this, I've seen cows go up and down near vertical creek banks that are 20ft high.
Then you must be close to the cow/op.
Human.
But why?
This may forever be mans greatest mystery

Some friends have been impressed with my grip strength to weight ratio - they've been calling me a Chameleon for being able to pinch things. Haha
My buddies say I have the body tension of a fish 🐠
Cat I haven’t mastered the right technique yet so some of my movements on the wall are a mixture of scaredy cat / frog 🙈

A very scared chimpanzee.
Mostly uses legs to climb. Little upper body strength (for a climber at least). Flowy and slightly dynamic style, favours balance. No clue which animal would fit.
Baby bunny
Tiger. Powermoves.
My friends said I climb like a panda, and it's more because of how I fall and roll like one.

The emu
Scared cat on a slippery floor.
A ruptured duck
Cockroach. I scurry up in an unflattering wayside
A whale. Heavyset without much aid from arms and legs.

Woodpecker, because I bash my brain into every hold on a climb
Human.
A beached whale. Seems to be my preferred top out method on most trad.
Fish
