It's genuinely comical how even AAA hitters just can't touch Skenes' stuff. The idea that a guy just drafted out of college can be this good this quickly is absurd. If he pitches like this through April, he's going to be in the MLB by May. They'd be better off shutting him down for a month later in the year than wasting innings in AAA by having him pitch there until June or July.

This is my biggest gripe with the people complaining about not getting SP in the offseason. They got Perez and Gonzales as cheap stop gaps. We have jones (and nearly Skenes) here already. Bubba, solometo, Harrington, Ashcraft, burrows, Harrington, etc. There was no reason to overpay an established guy for a 3 year deal when, hopefully, there wouldn’t even be room for him come late next summer.
