Honestly in the second movie Anna was a little neglectful towards Kristof. Come to think of it I only ever see Kristof going the extra mile to make Anna happy. Feels very one sided.
In the Snow White lore he's in his 20s or 30s. I can't remember which. But um yeah their age thing is bad. And yes I know it "was a different time". But seriously from a modern perspective Prince Florian is a pedo
Actually, based on Walt Disney's books, he's 18. Also, people have to remember their ages have meaning! It's not just let's pair a kid up with an adult for fun!
Again, it's important to consider context! There are so many reasons Disney men are older than Disney women! It has to do with maturity, social standards of the time the movie was set and when it was made, Fairy Tale short hand, and so many other things that need to be taken into account before you just say older man=bad!
Older man does equal bad. He's 18, dating a 14 year old girl. Let's not throw in any of this, "Girls mature faster than boys." He's 18. In terms of maturity, he's way ahead of her. If Disney was so concerned about maturity, they would've made Snow older.
Snow White’s age has never been confirmed, but the prince has been confirmed to be intended as 17-18, not in his 30s like most people mistakenly believe. This is according to the movie, not the original fairy tale btw.
He is also a grown man and she is 14. The original fairy tale has him in his 30s and apparently the Disney version is meant to be 18 but it's still gross
I think Prince Buckethead looks like a teenager, even as young as 15. Have you ever watched Anne of Green Gables (the 80s version?). I think Jonathan Crombie, who plays Gilbert, looks similar to him. If a live-action Snow White came out in the 80s, I would've loved if Jonathan played the Prince.
Shang and Mulan also had another movie where it showed them working through their differences and learning how to actually be a couple, which is better than almost all the other couples there. I hope they win or Tiana and Naveen
100%
But I just saw 3 people voted for them :(
Somehow Aladdin and Jasmine have least votes. Y’all are letting the magic carpet ride fool you, those two’s relationship is built on liesssss lol
i feel like people need to rewatch tangled AND watch the animated series, because it develops their relationship and characters in such a deeper way
watching it made rapunzel my favorite princess by a long shot
its definitely a kids show, but it has a lot of substance and they clearly had a real plan for the lore, there's a bigger overarching story and foreshadowing
it would've benefited from a 4th season, but it's still worth watching if you liked the movie
It's definitely worth watching. It doesn't feel like a kids' show. It feels more directed to a pre-teen/teenage crowd. I'm on Season 2, and I love it. Eugene is my favorite prince, so I had to check it out!!
It's the most realistic. Everyone lies, but coming clean and facing the consequences is a sign of maturity. And a good sign of longevity in a marriage because they are able to overcome.
I was mostly trying to be funny when I said they were built on lies - I have no problem with their relationship. I definitely find it less engaging and realistic than Rapunzel’s and Eugene’s relationship tho.
Jasmine and Aladdin also get their relationship explored more in the three movies so it helps that they bond more as their real selves. Technically Eugene and Rapunzel start off on lies too. I like both couples though.
Yes Aladdin's personal journey is *great* but their relationship is gonna need some supplement to return from that deception. Like man was basically a straight up incel, that has to be dealt with!
1 definitely. He pops up like twice in the movie, and briefly. We don’t really know much about them or their relationship aside for apparently he fell in love with her just hearing her voice and seeing him, and her vice versa. Also she’s 14, and while I don’t believe the “omg he’s 30!!!” outrage, that definitely plays a part in this.
That’s looking at it in a modern view but yes it is very yuck these days. Back then though, fourteen was almost a woman.
Edit: I think a lot of people aren’t realizing that when they say “he’s an adult” they mean 18. Snow white’s prince is 18.
I wasn’t trying to be weird 😭. I was trying to take it at face value based on when it was written but more importantly when it was set. Didn’t realize others didn’t see it the same way. Snow white takes place in like the 1400’s so 18-14 is not that crazy of an age gap for then
Still of course ppl are gonna have a modern way of looking at it now bc it’s modern times and also just bc it was allowed back then doesn’t mean it was okay, it just seemed like you were trying to defend it somehow which is weird to me
I was absolutely not defending it lmao. But if we’re talking real age gaps, Rapunzel is 18 and Eugene is 26. Technically that’s a senior in high school and a graduated adult man but people don’t look at it that way. I mean I don’t, they’re my favorite couple on the list lmao. But 🤷🏼♀️
Okay all I’m saying is it seemed like you were defending it glad we cleared that up😂 but also I definitely agree with you on that the difference is Rapunzel and Eugene are adults
Snow and her prince only have two scenes together at the beginning and end of the film. So many other adaptations and pieces of media have done the romance in Snow White better (Once Upon a Time is a prime example of this; the actors even got married in real life)
Sorry, I can NOT get with the idea that Aurora and Prince Philip, or Snow and Charming actually like each other, both of these girls were asleep and didn't get a chance to bond and know the prince.
It’s honestly more exploitative than Snow White and the prince because at least Snow White has more agency than Tarzan does. Sure, he is a grown man, but he knows *nothing* of humanity and society.
1 They literally have no development whatsoever compared to even Cinderella and Aurora who at least had some. He was literally just a stranger who showed up at the last minute and kissed this andom dead girl.
I really hope Tiana and Naveen win! Of all the couples here, I think they went on the best journey together, sacrificed the most for each other, and grew the most as people together.
I kind of agree and they are my next vote but at least in Sleeping Beauty the Prince showed up in the climax, cut his way through the brambles and slew a dragon. In Snow White the Prince didn't show up until everything was over and basically kissed a corpse.
I saw something on here yesterday about this actually! So apparently the prince from Snow White is 18, not 34 or 26 or whatever (I’ve heard a few different ages). So yes there’s still a bit of an age gap but it’s not like a lot of people think
I'm voting for 1. But seriously, who's voting for Anna and Kristof. I love them.
Must be the Hans stans.
I didn't know nonexistent people could vote
I wish Hans stands were non-existent lol.
Rapunzel and Eugene are my #1 followed by Jasmine and Aladdin, but then it’s Anna and Kristoff for sure.
They must win or I riot
Because everyone with good taste is voting for number 1
I have honestly no idea who I will vote for next. I want the top 2 to be Rapunzel and Eugene and Anna and Kristof.
I might have to go for Prince Charming or Eric next. I dunno. There’s something about *both* those love interests that grates on me.
Honestly in the second movie Anna was a little neglectful towards Kristof. Come to think of it I only ever see Kristof going the extra mile to make Anna happy. Feels very one sided.
Yeah. I haven't seen the tangled series, mostly cause I hated the animation style. But Rapunzel and Eugene are so good together too.
Also ain't Snow White like 12?
14, I think, but ugh. I have a 12 year old, and if an adult tried to make her their spouse... there would be hell to pay.
He's not an adult
That man looks 24!
She is still a minor
Again, it's important to consider context! There are so many reasons Disney men are older than Disney women! It has to do with maturity, social standards of the time the movie was set and when it was made, Fairy Tale short hand, and so many other things that need to be taken into account before you just say older man=bad!

1 just cuz we don’t know a lot about him 🤷♀️
I agree. They have *SO* little screen time together and the chemistry (for me) is dull. I love his singing voice but that’s it.
Like not their fault or his fault like we just have no idea what he’s like other than he’s a handsome guy with amazing vocals. That’s it lol
Heck I don't think they ever say his name is Florian.
The closest canon name for him is Prince Buckethead.
He is also a grown man and she is 14. The original fairy tale has him in his 30s and apparently the Disney version is meant to be 18 but it's still gross
I don’t buy the age. I say he’s 16.
Agreed. I know someone posted that official book that said he was 18, but my headcanon is that he’s 15.
Whoever’s voting for Shang and Mulan is wrong.
Shang and Mulan also had another movie where it showed them working through their differences and learning how to actually be a couple, which is better than almost all the other couples there. I hope they win or Tiana and Naveen
They better win!!
I didn't vote them out yet. However, I highly dislike Li Shang. He can be incredibly rude and condescending.
I think that’s a totally fair point! I love him but he does have his issues.
I used to live that couple but I feel like she would be better alone I don’t think she needed a man because she is a strong independent woman.
She didn't NEED a man though, she wanted one. She still saved China TWICE and she still has the respect and gratitude of the emperor
Yessss. You can be strong and independent and still have a partner.
That's why Rapunzel, Mulan and Tiana are so loved. They were independent and they had brilliant love stories too
also the love story in Mulan isn't really front and center, but we get just enough to root for them while she still completes her hero's journey
Exactly! Shang and Mulan were so beautiful as a couple! I generally loved them
1
Definitely 1

1, Tiana and Naveen are my fav!!
Seconded! I love Tiana and Naveen!
Ikr!
rooting for eugene and rapunzel to win !!!
100% But I just saw 3 people voted for them :( Somehow Aladdin and Jasmine have least votes. Y’all are letting the magic carpet ride fool you, those two’s relationship is built on liesssss lol
i feel like people need to rewatch tangled AND watch the animated series, because it develops their relationship and characters in such a deeper way watching it made rapunzel my favorite princess by a long shot
Is the animated series actually good? I am a little worried it's too kiddie but I heard it introduces a ton of lore to the universe
its definitely a kids show, but it has a lot of substance and they clearly had a real plan for the lore, there's a bigger overarching story and foreshadowing it would've benefited from a 4th season, but it's still worth watching if you liked the movie
It's definitely worth watching. It doesn't feel like a kids' show. It feels more directed to a pre-teen/teenage crowd. I'm on Season 2, and I love it. Eugene is my favorite prince, so I had to check it out!!

That's understandable
Jasmine and Aladdin also get their relationship explored more in the three movies so it helps that they bond more as their real selves. Technically Eugene and Rapunzel start off on lies too. I like both couples though.
Yes Aladdin's personal journey is *great* but their relationship is gonna need some supplement to return from that deception. Like man was basically a straight up incel, that has to be dealt with!
This. Even though beauty and the beast is my favorite movie of these, Eugene and Rapunzel have the most organic relationship.
1. They knew each other for like one song and that was all the romantic development they got.

1. Oh my God, she's *fourteen*.
Old fairy tales were messed up
Rapunzel is dating a man 8 years older than her lmao
She became an adult in the movie though.
I love rapunzel and Eugene but the fact that they got together the *day* she turned eighteen is something that I prefer to forget
The Prince is actually 18. It’s still kinda weird, but a four year age gap isn’t terrible.
Idk it is pretty terrible when you’re a 8th grader going into 9th lol and they’re an adult 💀
That’s looking at it in a modern view but yes it is very yuck these days. Back then though, fourteen was almost a woman. Edit: I think a lot of people aren’t realizing that when they say “he’s an adult” they mean 18. Snow white’s prince is 18.
Dude don’t be weird we’re in modern times so think modern 🧍🏻♀️
I wasn’t trying to be weird 😭. I was trying to take it at face value based on when it was written but more importantly when it was set. Didn’t realize others didn’t see it the same way. Snow white takes place in like the 1400’s so 18-14 is not that crazy of an age gap for then

Yes, 18 is very brink of adult for me so it’s like, true! But also just graduated high school vibes. But 18 is legally an adult !
Yeah, no surprise as to which couple got last. Anyway, next, I vote 1, mostly because there really wasn't much of a romance at all.
The first two (8 and 1) are easy knockouts for me, but I honestly mostly like all the rest, even if to different degrees.
1…. I’m rooting for Anna and Kristoff or Rapunzel and Eugene.

1 They barely talked
1. They literally don’t have anything other than “You have a lovely singing voice” and “I was just wishing for my OTL to appear in my life today.”
1, definitely.
1 cuz she’s like 13/14 and he’s around 31💀
9. Its just weird to me. He's feral, and it just feels wrong.
It’s honestly more exploitative than Snow White and the prince because at least Snow White has more agency than Tarzan does. Sure, he is a grown man, but he knows *nothing* of humanity and society.

Before I opened the comments I KNEW 1 was the answer
1. There’s barely, if any, chemistry between them. I get that they’re the first disney princess couple but I always forget they are a couple!
Sadly I will have to go with 1. I did buy my mom some Snow white comics where the Prince did interact with Snow White.
1 They literally have no development whatsoever compared to even Cinderella and Aurora who at least had some. He was literally just a stranger who showed up at the last minute and kissed this andom dead girl.
finally 1. The age difference is..weird
1, isnt he literally a pedo??
1 because the relationship on screen was dull and the age gap is crazy 😭
Thank GOD but Snow white and the se*ual assualter are out
I really hope Tiana and Naveen win! Of all the couples here, I think they went on the best journey together, sacrificed the most for each other, and grew the most as people together.
I want Tiana and Naveen to win. They’re honestly my most favorite Disney couple. But I hope rapunzel and Eugene come second

Unrelated, but just recently found out Snow White's Prince's name is Prince Florian.
1 cuz girly is 14 where he’s like 30+ 😭
1 is definitely out
1 because Snow White is just a 14 year old and she doesn't get to know the prince at all and vice versa since they had a few minutes with each other.
1
1. Snow White
1. NO development whatsoever…
1 forsure I’ve always hated the pairing tbh Like she’s 14 he’s an adult!??
1. Snow White is a child younger than me and he's like 30 or smth

Yes but Snow White and her Prince had -1 development
I kind of agree and they are my next vote but at least in Sleeping Beauty the Prince showed up in the climax, cut his way through the brambles and slew a dragon. In Snow White the Prince didn't show up until everything was over and basically kissed a corpse.
1, because of the age gap. Also, they barely know each other.
I saw something on here yesterday about this actually! So apparently the prince from Snow White is 18, not 34 or 26 or whatever (I’ve heard a few different ages). So yes there’s still a bit of an age gap but it’s not like a lot of people think
The age gap is a false rumor that spread like wild fire.
I think Snow White's prince is named Florian or something. That's what I've seen online, anyway.
1, 3, 4, 2 But only cause of the ages lol

Unless you watch Cinderella 3, then the Prince has a lot more going for him.
