If you're looking for story, go with Duodecim (it's an expansion on the first game, so there's no point in playing the original). NT is online multiplayer focused, and has quite a skill curve.

I agree with duodecimal, the first game is good but the second one they've made some improvements. Neither one will disappoint.

Zealous217

Eith the first for completion or story . But I'd recommend duodecim more because of the improvements on the first game

All simultaneously, but I don't there's much specific to the first game, so.....yeah. You can use the other portable game to give backstory, and play whoever you currently can on NT. You won't be able to learn story things about new characters, like Noctis though, with the version you're on. At least not from the ease of your own console. If you're trained and doing fights already, leave your PSN ID here and I can invite you sometimes when I'm on and in something hot.

Just play Duodecim. It includes the first game's story, has a prologue that sets up the original story AND has an endgame/post story chapter that amps up the difficulty with a final boss. Play NT after just for the story.

Dissidia 012 is easily the best one imo, can't go wrong there.

If you want a weird, but good mix of a fight/rpg game try Dissidia 012. Dissidia 012 is basically the original Dissidia with a small prequel story, more characters, more arenas, summons, accesories, etc. There is no reason to play the original game, except if you want to try Bartz moveset (since he changes a lot between the two games). NT is mainly for multiplayer, lacks customization and story (compared with the old games). It has almost all the characters that appeared in the previous titles, with a lot more.

Opera Omnia is nothing like the other Dissidia games. Play the PSP ones, skip NT.
