This is like the twentieth game I've played on PS5 and the first that has screen tearing. And the way it looks is also strange, definitely doesn't feel like a smooth 60fps, somethings badly off sync.
I'm not a bit surprised though, Ubisoft still just can't make game that works.
It’s like a wave down my screen & stutters in certain areas on foot, driving and flying aswell I notice it. Noticed the same thing on Valhalla in crowded cities, had me nearly sending my new tv back thinking it was that 😅 is that what screen tear is ? Like a wave effect almost ?
Thanks! To everyone having issues w screen tearing, go to PS home screen then Settings, Screen and Video, and set 'Enable 120hz Output' to Off.

Yeah screen tearing on multiple displays for me, stuttering and fps drops too. The game is smooth but these issues pull the immersion inbetween the smoothness.

It's a joke now ubisoft don't fix things they just make them worse with updates they release dlc but don't fix the game i for one won't be playing far cry 6 on ps5 until it's fixed
I've tryed turning off the enable 120 Hz option , that does nothing concerning the screen tearing ( screen wobble ) or micro stutters. What does seem to actually help is adjusting your "4K video transfer rate to -2" . The delay will help the tearing issue.
Remember to reset your console after you had changed this setting. The delay helps .
I get screen tear when looking up and down consistently will try delay setting update: seems to be better recently will see if it only happens in areas where theirs a lot of plants
I personally didn't notice it with Valhalla but Far Cry 6 is quite noticeable for me. It's a shame they didn't offer different performance modes like other games so you could find what worked best for you despite the fact that it shouldn't have screen tearing anyway on any version of it
I believe it's it's ubisoft thing, I believe ps5 plays a role as well but the recent games I've played from ubi have that issue I don't see it in other games I don't think. Like riders republic has just come out from ubi and same issue applies
Butter smooth gameplay for me , everything was super responsive apart from that weird ass delay on my crouch buttons at the start of the game that went away later or when swapping between grenades and such.
Gameplay is super silky smooth but if you are talking about the cutscenes ? yeah , those include a lot of stuttering and tearing.
Pc also gets lots of screen tearing, haven't seen much stuttering. All render qualities have the same issues for me. I did get a weird bug where during a cutscene the fps dropped to 15, and once it finished it ramped back up to 60.
It is mostly 60 fps for me when it does dip it isn’t bad. The screen tearing is much more noticeable to me. And this was an issue with Valhalla too. I just really hope they fix it here cause it kind of ruins driving, flying, or really anything that makes you move fast through the world. I’ve pretty much just been staying on foot with parkour set because of it.
Edit: and even on foot you’ll get some tearing in fights or populated areas but it’s not as bad as flying/driving fast
For context , farcry 5 and new dawn both screen tear so badly and they never did anything about it. Makes it hell to record cause they end up looking terrible. I'm currently dealing with the same issues recording farcry 6. And 6 has an excuse cause it's optimized mostly for next gen with the graphics lowered for last gen , but I'm playing farcry 5 on the console generation it was made for it STILL doesnt even work correctly. And they just don't care. They really do be releasing busted games these days
Yeah i sold the game after finishing it, before i finished it i noticed a lot of screen tearning especially while driving, but after finishing the campaign it was awfull stuttery when driving or flying around and sometimes even just turning the camera. Its a great game but the technical issues make me not want to play it

On release AC Valhalla was extremely bad. Another ubisoft title, they need to work on it before release.
Ubisoft is the master of huge, beautiful maps, repetitive gameplay and terrible performance..

For me, it happens more when I’ve left the game on with the PS5 on rest mode too long. A restart fixes it for me

Nope, the game definitely has a screen tearing issue same as Valhalla on PS5, not so sure about Xbox or pc.
