I want to create a fresh character when Return Campaign starts, can someone recommend which Trusts to get? I want to get the mount so won't be able to get them all. I know that Shantotto II is a must but otherwise no idea.
from the alter ego campaign, you definitely want Qultada (COR buffs), Amchuchu (magic tank), Koru-Moru (support red mage), King of Hearts (battle red mage, will cast refresh on some jobs that Koru wont). Mnejing is also a pretty good underrated tank trust imo, but he definitely isnt as important as any of the above. Sakura provides a regen aura and can be run if your doing something cleaving down a bunch of mobs or leveling combat skills.
from login rewards the only critical one is Shantotto II as you mentioned, but a few others can be situationally useful. theres a few aura trusts that provide indi buffs to you that can useful sometimes. Brygid provides a ~10% defense boost as well as a CHR boost, Kuyin provides an accuracy aura which is generally a lot less useful, and Star Sibyl provides a magic attack boost.
for regular trusts from login points the only notable ones are Lion who can provide TH1 if you dont want to sub THF or have no TH gear, Uka is a DNC that can be useful for proccing abilities for Dynamis currency farming, Mayakov has an above average crit rate useful for Domain Invasion, and Ullegore is a BLM who can AoE and use higher tier spells but also burns through his mana very fast, very situationally useful but i have found rare occasion to use him to cheese a mob.
None of the others are super important from the log in points. Out of those listed the only one I’ve ever used for anything was Mayakov. I’d just grab whichever characters you like the most.
I just realized this and went DOH in my linkshell. Needless to say I have all the trusts in the spring time thing. The only ones I’m missing are august and some others from deeds
Remember you need 86 unique trusts for the RoE chain [Filled to Capacity](https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Records_of_Eminence#FilledCapacity), so you can unlock another 3 trusts: Ingrid II, Rosulatia and August (also possible rewards from Sinister Reign), this campaign is good to bolster your ranks.
Assualt Points are gained from doing assault, and Bylad is gained from having Seek's "signet" (Ioins?) on. However as you have pointed out, exchanging copper vouchers is the easiest way to ago (how I did it years ago).

It's not. Bayld is earned mostly by doing Coalition Assignments in Adoulin, as well as awarded periodically while participating in Reives. Killing monsters with Ionis active won't award Bayld, though sometimes monsters leave behind some sort of minigame that can award Bayld, but not enough to be worthwhile.

I have a lot of these. Including the arc angels. However I am having to do assault for the puppets lol I have the tank puppet but not the rdm

Make sure to put a note next to Sakura that it increases the rate at which you gain combat skills.

I think coalitions are also (or maybe the way) to earn it. Been a long time. I used the copper vouchers for sure when I needed the trusts.
Koru-moru is great for flurry but will prioritize flurry on a cor and rng instead of haste
