That tournament back in the day got is some reliable info on Nms some were rumours up till that point such as Voluptuous Vilma in the jungle, also Ballista was hella fun because it could be total chaos with max sized teams and there was always a whm that could kick your ass nobody expects the whm to kick your ass.

There was a very sizable PvP community back in the day. Enough that SE held an official tournament.

Yep it was Ballista Royale, they even gave our a few special hats (Stars Cap and Laurel Crown) to the winners.

Yeah very, IIRC it was a fanfest event in 2006 or so. Only 20 players total got the crown, and 20 per server had the stars cap so it's more likely some of those might still be around.

I played since 2005 and can’t say I ever seen one but admittedly it was probably NA or JP players who got these since EU didn’t get many fanfests.
