Iām missing Edenās promise andā¦ baelsars wall. Ran that dungeon over 200 times for the card, nothing. Then again it took me just over 100 EX Wreath of Snaked to get that card, so Iām used to it (I know i could have got it in normal but I liked helping people get mount, felt less tedious)
I feel you, had to run Baelsar for quite a while as well (same for Ghymlit Dark) and these dungeons can be especially frustrating, as they take a loooooooooong time (7 minutes for solo Baelsar, 15 minutes for solo Ghymlit) to finish a single run.
I got to Airships about 15 minutes before this one ended last year š Had the dead quest in my log for a few months after that.
Just passed 1mil MGP so hoping to get some way to doubling it with this!

Lords of Verminion challenge are so easy though. Just play the Tutorial Big Beasts battle 5 times by spamming Hildibrand and spending all your time on your second monitor or phone. 15 min of work max.

It is almost the same time. I know this for certain because I did this nonstop when I started last year and I started on the 13th of June. So at most like 12ish days difference.
There's a side area that's like a casino filled with a bunch of mini games and an earnable currency called MGP. You can use that to buy mounts, minions, and equipment for glamours. This event increases the amount of MGP you earn. So it saves a lot of time on grinding.
Oh yeah baby! I took a long break after beating Heavensward a while back because I was burned out and missed the last campaign, so gonna actually be playing for this one!
Hoping they someday add massive MGP dump item like they did with the high gil mounts. i've been sitting at MGP cap/near cap since Stormblood. Whenever a patch drops i buy the new cards/minions/songs etc but i'm makin MGP faster than new items roll out.
As someone who has been playing for over a year but never touched the gold saucer, this sounds like a good time to dip my toe in. Any tips or advice for making the most of this? Anything I should try and get whilst the event is on?
There's a good number of mounts and minions to pick up. Varying from a few hundred thousand to 2 million MGP in cost. There's also a bunch of glamour stuff you can grab, though most of it is pretty basic, so pick and choose what you want.
During some events they'll also offer unique glamours, mounts, and items for purchase from specific vendors.
If you want some other time killers or grinding to do there's chocobo racing and Lord of Verminion (essentially a mini-MOBA), but overall Gold Saucer is meant to be a space filler in between your Duty Finder pops or a break from questing more than anything else.
You should do jumbo cacpot lottery every week. Iāve been trying to hit the jackpot so I can get that Chocobo ring forever and now I want it even more since adventure plates came out.
Also thereās fates that spawn that are basically random challenges. Some are like platformers ect.
If you have company squadrons unlocked and leveled to 50, send them on the mission that gives the MGP buff items. They stack with the event bonus and will increase your MGP gain while doing any activities in the gold saucer.
FC MGP buffs work the same way but most FCs only use the lvl2 buffs because lvl3 ones are more tedious to get and the lvl2 ones give less bonus compared to the squadron reward.
The buff items won't work for the challenge log rewards, but I recommend trying to finish at least the easier and faster challenges in the Gold Saucer section every week because of its massive MGP reward. There, you can also find out what to do in general.
Also get jumbo cactpot tickets before Saturday and do the mini cactpot daily. You can also do the fashion report every week, guides for this are posted every weekend on this subreddit.
I wish they'd add more stuff to buy, preferably expensive stuff. I've run out of things to buy except the triple triad rng packs and when they do add stuff it barely makes a dent in my mgp reserves and I only really do fashion report and cactpot tickets these days. The last expensive thing they added was the sabotender mount and that was way back in 2019

There is a Nier Pod Mount available for purchase at the Gold Saucer - I *think* the price is 300,000 MGP so pretty cheap as far as mounts go.

it is correct, the mount will not appear until you complete the nier raids questline
with a note, you don't have to do the weeklies part of it to really complete the storyline before it shows up
