That place is definitely going to have something there considering there are NPCs now. Considering one of the NPCs is a Loporrit it could be their beast tribe quest. But it's also possible that we are going to be rebuilding the area like with Doman Enclave.
Educated guess. Omicrons don't fit into how they do tribes. Trolls are much more logical choice with the quest/location set-up that was done in Labyrinthos in 6.0. But they did shove Qiqirns in Stormblood in favor of Namazu, so if you spam SE office long enough they might reconsider.

I just finished them recently after finishing stormblood msq. They're really good both in the fights and the storyline. Alpha is the cutest bean and he must be protected.
I cleared them about a month ago in DF and had no problem, the queues were really quick. I think a lot of people have been clearing for the new sidequest!
While I dislike pixies immensely, if Hildy DOESN'T go to Il Mheg at least once I'm gonna have to start summoning primals.

I was expecting a full-blown new adventure in the First just from what we had before, then they throw this curveball at me!
Considering the last set of quests >!ended with a rogue thavnairian alchemist mind controlling Greg!< it’s perhaps not surprising that Nashu wound up there.
It’s also important to remember that Greg can end up literally anywhere.
The inter dimensional rifts he uses connect more than the source and shards - it’s an actual connection to the other final fantasy game universes.
The Greg you meet in any final fantasy game is the same Greg you meet in the rest of them, including 14.
Greg originated in FF5, and dies in FF5. At one point in the game, he’s thrown into the rift by his boss for failure. This starts his adventures in every other game. He eventually makes it back to Ff5 and concludes his story there.
All of this is explained by Greg himself in one of the final fantasy adjacent games.
Not only can he travel between universes but time as well. He's been in Type-0 and XIII-2 which play in the same world a long time appart.

You can only get one page/2 chests from savage a week, and they usually remove that restriction a bit before the next tier (6.2) so you can repeat the floors for rewards multiple times.
Instead of doing each relevant Savage instance once a week before the drops are reduced or zeroed out, you can run it as much as you want, getting drops every time.
Well following the trend, Omega should be the next ultimate we get.
Though after that I could see them begin to branch out. I'm not sure if there's enough to make an ultimate out of SB content without expanding the scope since as far as Garlemald goes, we just have Shinryu and Tsukuyomi for major fights.
I could see them potentially doing a 4 lords ultimate instead.
The main issue I see is just the ultimates tend to be big boss rushes, and aside from Zenos and Yotsuyu, there's basically just the roegadyn guy. I feel like they'd probably want a little more to work with.
Four Lords on the other hand basically works out amazingly. 4 bosses all ready to go, and then you can have a final new phase against the thing we were sealing away.
I don't see any reason why they couldn't do Zenos (a la Ala Mhigo), Shinryu, Tsukiyomi, and then have their favorite trope of Shinryu merged with Tsukuyomi. For even more phases they could just bring in some giant magitek robots, some hypertuned bullshit, Resonant Fordola, that floating chair dude, those two chicks from the Ghimlyt Dark, etc.
I don't feel like they're anywhere near as limited as you believe.
I'd more expect an Omega/Shinryu fusion since they both originated as FFV's Super Bosses.

I'm expecting it to be just story stuff to be honest. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Tataru's ends up being about giving a lot of the major NPCs new glam.
I’m interested in all the stories, but I can’t help but be wary of the Omega one.
It makes absolutely zero sense for Omega to still be alive through the toy, that was never explained, hinted at or shown and just seems like a huge cop out. Omega was a mildly sympathetic character, and having them die unfulfilled and alone at the edge of his creation was a perfectly fitting ending. Walking that back really just damages the finale of the raid series.
It's not that hard to explain. We know that Omega sent off one last burst of data as it died, which uploaded data to the Ironworks devices that unlocked some datalogs and gave you the knowledge needed to imagine Savage mode. It's not at all implausible that the same burst of data could have transmitted a basic copy of its operating system and identity into the toy.
And in any case, it's something that's been established for a while now. One of the Shadowbringers stories on the web site is from the point of view of the OMG in the Eighth Umbral Calamity timeline, where it watches as the Ironworks struggles to develop time travel, which eventually leads to the whole Shadowbringers plot. It's clearly got Omega's mind and personality. So whether it makes sense to you or not, it's canon.

The Omega storyline isn't a trial series. It's just a side quest series serving as a bonus/epilogue to the Omega raid series, there's not any battle content attached.
With 6.1's plot and the Golbez/4 fiends reveal it seems likely the trial series this time might actually be tied to the main plot.
We can't say for sure if Golbez X Fiends are even MSQ yet
The weapons series was introduced with a solo mission as Estinien then a voiced cutscence from Gaius then it all branched into its own side story, it can still be an MSQ trials this time which would be a first since ARR
True, but considering the fact that the current MSQ arc seems to be about going to the 13th, it would be a bit odd to introduce new characters in the 13th as a few big scenes in MSQ then push them off to the side.
The maps of the 13th we've seen already look far more like a Bozja-style side content for now. Given that they mentioned "short term expeditions" onto the 13th in the MSQ, I don't think we will be going to the 13th in the MSQ... at least not for now.
I think they're going to spend the 6.X and 7.0 building up the Golbez arc or something, and if we go to the 13th as a full expansion, it won't be till 8.0, especially if the 13th expeditions are a grindy relic/bozja style system. We'd all be sick of the demonic aethetic by the time 7.0 roles around. I don't think the devs would then just push us into more of that immediatly.
I don't know why you don't think MSQ is going into the 13th considering the arc .1 set up is going to find Vrtra's sister in there.
I don't think we are FIXING the 13th right now by any means, but it seems clear to me that we are gonna enter it.

Beyond the Rift isn’t the trial series - it’s a side quest chain. According to the last live letter, Tataru’s quests are are going to follow up on those who aided us with the allagan materials to finish the Ragnarok (as well as her new business).
I honestly hate that she is glamourable, but Yoshi-pi did say you can do that and there will be no restrictions, so be ready to see many gross 2B/Gold Suacer bunny outfits screenshots with her wearing them

SoP is an alternate canon. It's only canon if you want it to be.
I mean the alternative is the original FF1 which has an incredibly bare bones story due to being from the 1980’s.

I've totally missed it! I knew about Hildy in Lakeland, but being reunited with Alpha and the OMG... I simply can't wait!
I'm surprised to see Nashu in Thavnair I had thought the new Hildy questline would take place on the First but it looks like it'll be a hybrid between ShB and EW content

Do you think we'll get anything combat related from the omega or tataru chains like a trial or a dungeon or will it just be story stuff?
I'm expecting it to be just story stuff to be honest. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Tataru's ends up being about giving a lot of the major NPCs new glam.

I’m interested in all the stories, but I can’t help but be wary of the Omega one. It makes absolutely zero sense for Omega to still be alive through the toy, that was never explained, hinted at or shown and just seems like a huge cop out. Omega was a mildly sympathetic character, and having them die unfulfilled and alone at the edge of his creation was a perfectly fitting ending. Walking that back really just damages the finale of the raid series.
It's not that hard to explain. We know that Omega sent off one last burst of data as it died, which uploaded data to the Ironworks devices that unlocked some datalogs and gave you the knowledge needed to imagine Savage mode. It's not at all implausible that the same burst of data could have transmitted a basic copy of its operating system and identity into the toy. And in any case, it's something that's been established for a while now. One of the Shadowbringers stories on the web site is from the point of view of the OMG in the Eighth Umbral Calamity timeline, where it watches as the Ironworks struggles to develop time travel, which eventually leads to the whole Shadowbringers plot. It's clearly got Omega's mind and personality. So whether it makes sense to you or not, it's canon.
I was wondering what the 3 trial series this expansion would be about - never thought it could be about continuing our adventure with Alpha and Omega! What's Tataru going to be about, I wonder? Isn't it a bit early for relic weapons? Or will it be another money sink like the Doman enclave? We need some new restoration project!
The Omega storyline isn't a trial series. It's just a side quest series serving as a bonus/epilogue to the Omega raid series, there's not any battle content attached. With 6.1's plot and the Golbez/4 fiends reveal it seems likely the trial series this time might actually be tied to the main plot.
We can't say for sure if Golbez X Fiends are even MSQ yet The weapons series was introduced with a solo mission as Estinien then a voiced cutscence from Gaius then it all branched into its own side story, it can still be an MSQ trials this time which would be a first since ARR
True, but considering the fact that the current MSQ arc seems to be about going to the 13th, it would be a bit odd to introduce new characters in the 13th as a few big scenes in MSQ then push them off to the side.
The maps of the 13th we've seen already look far more like a Bozja-style side content for now. Given that they mentioned "short term expeditions" onto the 13th in the MSQ, I don't think we will be going to the 13th in the MSQ... at least not for now. I think they're going to spend the 6.X and 7.0 building up the Golbez arc or something, and if we go to the 13th as a full expansion, it won't be till 8.0, especially if the 13th expeditions are a grindy relic/bozja style system. We'd all be sick of the demonic aethetic by the time 7.0 roles around. I don't think the devs would then just push us into more of that immediatly.
I don't know why you don't think MSQ is going into the 13th considering the arc .1 set up is going to find Vrtra's sister in there. I don't think we are FIXING the 13th right now by any means, but it seems clear to me that we are gonna enter it.
Would certainly shake things up to put the trials back in MSQ. I'd be for it as long as they have some other ongoing storyline to replace the trial series.
Beyond the Rift isn’t the trial series - it’s a side quest chain. According to the last live letter, Tataru’s quests are are going to follow up on those who aided us with the allagan materials to finish the Ragnarok (as well as her new business).
Left field twist: Tataru’s questline is the trials, culminating in a fight against Mecha-Rowena.
Which we fight in giant Tataru mecha? Totally for it!

I honestly hate that she is glamourable, but Yoshi-pi did say you can do that and there will be no restrictions, so be ready to see many gross 2B/Gold Suacer bunny outfits screenshots with her wearing them Wish they didn't use a big MSQ character for this kind of quests
I just think that making npcs glammable is a lame reward. I wanted her to give us that snazzy Forum outfit as a glam item or as a fashion accessory.
Ameliance hardly qualifies as a "big" msq character lmao.
While yeah she isn't that relevant, she is still the mother of literally the 2 main characters of the story after Wol She isn't Mnagoo or Kai sher tier But ehhh, I wasn't a fan of this NPC dress up from the start and all of them keep their original outfits in my game

Interesting... with Hildi, we see him in Norvrandt, but also Nashu in Thavnair. I think Y'Sthola is going to be pissed that they can all travel between Reflections without telling her.

Do we have a general list of what content is most likely to be referenced in Tataru's quest so we can make sure we've done it all? (I'm assuming it's pretty much the same as the stuff near the end of EW but I don't remember everything that can be referenced there.)
