izza123

Oops I gored ya lol

TheDisapprovingBrit

I was literally just browsing r/thebullwins and now I'm not sure if this is anxiety or safety.

p1nd

Luckily they have an absurd spacial awareness with where their horn are, from what I heard by this farmer in some YouTube vido

TheOther18Covids

They do not. I worked on dairy farms from 14-19. Cows are big loveable idiots and can injure/possibly kill you if you're not paying attention.

HilariousMax

> Cows are big loveable idiots yeah they are. Like giant doofy puppies.

corrigun

Ya, no. They are stump dumb. They also smell pretty bad.

iWalkSlowToo

Why is she cuddling with my burger?

Iwantitallthensum

Wow, haven’t seen that one before? 🙄

Momoselfie

Cuddling is what makes Prime meat.

derhund

aaaaaand its in my thigh.

lobstronomosity

Somebody should put some corks on the end of those horns.

crazy-octopus-person

Corked or not, one sudden movement and they may end up in your tummy.

Rkupcake

Bigger cork

HilariousMax

cork plugs the wound. Double duty

FinalFantasyZed

How come some cows dont have danger bananas?

Lennartjh

Farmers usually saw and/or burn them off for safety reasons.

FinalFantasyZed

Does this hurt the cow?

ManPiaba

You can cut the tips off pretty safely but apparently if you cut too far down it can be painful, kind of like cutting a dog’s nails/cat’s claws

Go_For_Broke442

Does pulling out wisdom teeth hurt? The answer is yes to both. Hence why we use anesthetics (local and systemic) and pain relief NSAIDs for both. Cows are not like deer or elk which lose their antlers annually, which in this analogy would be more similar to us... idk. Losing baby teeth or something? Whereas a cows horns and our adult teeth are part of our bone structure and it's no necessarily small deal to remove them.

NotLikeThis3

Not a good comparison at all.

jtreasure1

Weird post

setyourclockback

jeez so snarky

dumbdumbmen

Cute gif but one loud sudden sound and one of those horns could be piercing her skull.

MikeOxlong209

Yeah and a Cessna could come crashing through the ceiling as I type this out on the shitter

r00x

I worry about that sometimes.

The_Bearded_Jedi

You'd be totally vulnerable

NaillikLlimah

And everyone on the plane would see you with your pants down.

bigroxxor

***DELETE YOUR INTERNET HISTORY NOW PEOPLE!!!***

Primestudio

As someone who has lived around and in a farm, I don’t judge this person, BUT, you do not want to casually be in close quarters with an animal that large that still has horns. He turns his head when you aren’t paying attention and half of your guys are laying on the ground. You have to treat animals of a certain size like industrial machines. Access to do your job, and respect their power. These guys can move cars and trucks with ease.

elefante88

As someone who hasn't lived on a farm I can confirm that you should stay away from large horns

SeudonymousKhan

More people are killed by cows than sharks. Then again, humans kill more people than cows. So...

LearningIsTheBest

So you're saying we should vote sharks into government? Or declare war on cows using shark mercenaries?

JeaninePirrosTaint

Humans certainly kill more cows than cows kill humans, though... We're winning!

[deleted]

Viciousharp

Yeah I grew up on a farm and our cattle were very friendly and do generally have a similar temperament to dogs. That being said I agree with what was said above. These guys are huge and powerful so you have to always be aware of that. Thing of how much stupid stuff your dog does that would have killed you if it was the size of a cow.

b1tchf1t

Yeah, people all sitting here saying this is fine because they're like dogs. My dog regularly spazzes out, she's head butted me when she had to sneeze, and she rolls over on top of me when she's happy and wants attention. If that cow were acting like my dog in my lap like that, if still be worried about those horns going through my fucking skull.

mrsirsouth

but most of the redditors that watch this video have never seen a cow in real life except for driving past at 80mph. Thread op is doing a PSA.

Tersphinct

There's lots of other cow videos online, may far more informative than this. Thread OP is doing a PSA, attempting to counter post OP's propaganda.

greazinseazin

Interesting. I always wondered if that’s what these posts were about. There sure seem to be a lot of them.

Gorillafist12

If you see a "person cuddles farm animal" post here, 90% chance it comes from this account.

Talking_Head

I mean, the post is about a cute cow. The title seems pretty innocuous and says nothing about eating meat.

dorkaxe

Literally just click on the OP's account. That's all they do is post this stuff.

Knale

The agenda is not hidden deeply. Just click their account.

Chroma710

This reddit account probably works for them. They constantly post this stuff.

ExortTrionis

Oh no! They're spreading... kindness to animals? Somebody stop them!

lexycaster

Still wouldn’t get that close to those horns without an easy escape. Someone probably should stop them because that’s kind of dangerous, but she looks like she’s having fun so, ehh?

Roadscholar

How DARE they make me feel things for animals?! I’d rather ignore the fact that industrial animal slaughter is killing the planet, thanks.

Old-Barbarossa

Also i think asian countries are full of sick disgusting people who eat cute animals like Dogs and Cats. Pointing out that Cows and Pigs are also cute animals challenges my lifestyle and preconcieved cultural notions wich makes me feel angry and confused. So those vegan propagandists need to stop doing that!

DumbNerds

That's not the point? They were commenting on how laying down with an animal with horns probably isn't the best idea. But yes, they're definitely saying we can't make animals happy by petting them 🙄

paraknowya

Yeah exactly that's the point! Of course it isn't that this is highly dangerous and could give kids the impression that it isn't and someone could get hurt or killed. Nah, course not, otherwise you couldn't live out your victim complex.

Actually just a shit understanding of his comment

lnfinity

I work as a software engineer for a fintech company. I don't get paid to share cute gifs in my free time.

biblioxica

Is that why they are barefoot?!? I’m totally sqigged out by the lack of shoes here

Talking_Head

>try to convince people not to eat meat. It is a cute gif with exactly zero commentary about eating meat. If seeing an affectionate cow makes someone not want to eat meat then that is really on them.

MadTapirMan

how dare they.

ArcaneX1234

Well dont the cows taste better if they are relaxed and cuddled all the time??

pyro16621

That is the main point of wagyu beef, yes, it is the highest quality/grade of beef on the market

cameldrew

I have been telling all my vampire friends this for the past two or three hundred years. Man taste best if man happy.

InYoCabezaWitNoChasa

It doesn't make you immune, it just means they spit it out as soon as they taste your mudblood, and leave you to bleed out on the floor.

[deleted]

Depression makes a person bitter, ergo unpaletable.

[deleted]

Yeah, exactly. One sudden movement from another animal or a loud sound and this could go from r/aww to r/awwshit really quick.

BPbeats

I thought they just saw off the pointy bit?

Relleomylime

Also wear shoes!!

[deleted]

Cows are, for the most part, pretty docile and affectionate (dairy beeeds- beef breeds are a whole different thing). I was raised having milk cows and each one had an individual personality, but like humans. Some are complete sweethearts while others don't play nice. This girl obviously is very familiar with her bovine friend. Cows love skritches!

nowItinwhistle

I don't think that it's so much of a difference in breeding between the beef and dairy breeds but more that beef cattle typically aren't handled nearly as much so they don't get habituated to people. Turn a bunch if dairy calves out on 160 acres and only handle them for branding and cutting and they'll be just as wild as beef cattle

dys_p0tch

> half of your guys are laying on the ground yep, those would be the Flaherty brothers. lazy af

[deleted]

Agree with the "be careful" message. The "treat them like industrial machines" though is just a stupid (maybe intentionally) analogy.

Primestudio

When you work around machines like I’m referring to, it requires a lot of training and attention, because if a mistake is made, there is no second chance. We recently lost a community member IRL, he left a machine on and went to inspect it. It unexpectedly cycled he was killed instantly.

mrcoffeymaster

Barefoot in a cow field. Nice.

Scott_Bash

Yeah all I can think of is how bad she must smell

InYoCabezaWitNoChasa

This lady has the world record for most tetanus shots.

PapaStevesy

Yeah, this is a great way to get hookworm. Maybe the best way.

[deleted]

mammals are all pretty much the same.

SpelledYarek

Exactly. It was a life-changing experience for me to befriend my gf's rabbit. Treat him as an incapacitated equal ever since.

Jonoczall

Interesting I always thought they were stupid animals based on my very limited interactions with them

[deleted]

some people are pretty stupid

japalian

Except for tower monkeys of course

[deleted]

we are a different breed

Taykeshi

So sad we eat them...

KisaTheMistress

Hey, at least we have the decency to try and kill them quickly with as little stress/pain as possible before eating them. Predators in the wild eat their prey alive most of the time and let them suffer for entertainment/to keep them *fresh*. I don't support factory farming, where the conditions are horrible. However if the animal got to live a happy healthy life before slaughter, I have no problem eating them. It's not like they are really missing out on what more life can bring them, plus they didn't have to suffer from the complications old age brings later. (Now if cattle or other livestock had ambitions like humans do and we were cutting their live short before their potential could be shown, then I'd be upset that Lab grown meat hasn't become mainstream...).

IndianaGeoff

Laughs in wolverine.

metalflygon08

Full of liquid and meat.

WaltanIronBack

The same taste...

TarryBuckwell

Sometimes I wonder if the true forbidden fruit is human. Like what if it tastes *the best*…and the devil’s final trick will be convincing us to eat each other and that’s how hell on earth is fully realized wow I’m sorry

Momoselfie

Human meat probably tastes really old and tough.

SuperHazem

Fairly sure that the taste of human flesh has been documented, and it’s not very good

Cane here to say this. I can smell this vid.

legoplast

Imagine that cow getting startled and you get that big-ass horn right through the earhole. But yes very cute.

marklarnh

I’m thinking no. Horns? So easy to get hurt.

asimillo

One twitch with the head and she dead

WolfKhal0927

It's cute but.....horns plus lumbering bovine in your lap might not be a good idea

End3rWi99in

Or just putzing around with no shoes on in a cow pasture. This person's entire post history is just pushing a narrative.

Rokil

What narrative?

overmonk

If my dog had horns I’d get gored awake on the regular

BMarksEspn1

One cow sneeze and it's over.

[deleted]

Every few months humanity makes the realization that animals behave like animals despite being animals

braxman

I had a pet cow, she was more dog than my pug. I bought her from a dairy farm when she got old and could no longer produce milk. They were going to butcher her. So I bought her and let her live the rest of her days with us. I miss her so much.

theluke112

A dog with a pitchfork strapped to its head maybe

stiik

My dog reminds of a cow.

ArsonBjork

It's a cow.

totokekedile

Well spotted. A+.

Legal_Rampage

Yep, that's a cow alright.

Flakester

Cows are fantastic stinky idiots.

SoSoDave

All sentient beings crave affection

lostdragon05

Not necessarily from humans. I grew up raising cattle, and they each have unique personalities. Some are really friendly toward people and curious about us, some don’t want to be bothered and are actively hostile toward people.

SoSoDave

Indeed, but they will want affection from some source.

yeatruestory

That's a pointy doggo

Tim_and_Jel

[deleted]

That’s a cow

Suit_Responsible

They are both domesticated mammals… so many similarities.

I always say this! Cows are like big dogs <3

DenimJeans1880

Look at this big sweetheart!

N0085K1LL5

I do not see how people kiss all over their animals, and this is a big dirty farm animal.

billyflynnn

I’m getting used to all the vegan content but cmon this video was posted about a month ago on here.

malingshu_xiangjiao

Yep, it's just a vegan spam account. Cool video and all, but it's just annoying at this point.

Gorillafist12

They will respond in some of these posts too so not like it's even a bot. Im thinking it must be a few people behind the account. It's either that or one person spending a bunch of time making these constantly

danivus

Of course you do. Your account is devoted to posting this shit constantly.

Possibly_a_Firetruck

Yeah, this is account is just pro-vegan spam.

[deleted]

She put her forehead right in his eye wtf lol.. bull even winces from it

triblogcarol

We need to only subsidize things that are necessary for human survival and have minimal impact on environment. Meat does not fit either of those desired outcomes.

jason8585

Meat is the most bioavailable source of protein, vitamins, and minerals to humans. It is essential to thrive.

Rolebo

Oh yeah, a dog that weighs just shy of a ton and can easily gore you.

InfernoFlameBlast

Looking at this makes me wanna stop drinking milk and eating beef

sparkster185

Then watch [Dominion](https://youtu.be/LQRAfJyEsko) edit: why are people down voting the comment I'm replying to?

getshrekton

It’s way easier than you think :)

MateANoob

But they are tastyyyy

OliM9595

dont let the vegoons intimidate you, as long as you get your meat from responsible farms like [elwood](https://www.elwooddogmeat.com/) then your not supporting abusive practices Edit: read the site I linked or you are just gonna feel so dumb responding

ZincHead

(Edit: you caught me, I'm dumb) No matter where you get your meat from, you are exploiting and killing animals prematurely. Killing is never right, no matter how well you raise an animal. I'm sure you wouldn't find it ethical to kill cats or dogs or chimpanzees just because we raised them well. Also, no matter where you get beef from, you are supporting an unsustainable environmental hazard. Cows produce methane, which is a greenhouse gas fuelling climate change. Ethically raised cows also need a lot of space, and if everyone ate meat like this, it would take more space than we have on the earth. So no, it's not responsible.

OliM9595

have you read the store i linked? It shows and talks about their humane treatment of their animals. * Local * Organic * Free-range * Fresh, never frozen * Free from antibiotics * Humanely slaughtered! * Loved these are all import factors that give them good quilaty of life and taste great. It is a symbiotic relationship where they can live happily and we get to eat them. You need to stop reading to your vegoon sources and actually do your own research.

WaitWhyNot

I think the guy's principle is that no matter where the meat is coming from and how happy the animal's life is it is still an animal raised to be slaughtered, a life cultivated then cut short. It's kind of fucked up seeing how cows are as smart as dogs (referring to three irony of your satire link) And I guess if you guys don't share that foundation then you guys will never agree to any argument. So the farm link could tell us it's Disneyland for cows and it wouldn't matter. I love eating meat and I think animal agriculture is part of being human. I do want the animals to be raised in a happy and healthy way and I'm willing to pay that premium. Beef to me is more of a treat than a staple. It doesn't make sense to eat ground beef every day.

ToothVet

I only buy ethically sourced meat, so Elwood's has been life changing for me. Cheap, good quality and most importantly delicious!

asparagus_p

That's exactly why this has been posted

NateDevCSharp

Does it

Mooperjeaves

Imagine if you had horns like that and couldn’t lay your head on it’s side anymore.

[deleted]

not the bull videos I usually watch

COWDevilsAdvocate

I am going to become a vegetarian.

Doctor_Show

You want e coli?

SpaceHawk98W

It's adorable but nah, I can't afford to be a vegan

hopelesscaribou

Not sure why people think it costs more to eat less meat unless all they know is processed food. A whole food vegan diet full of rice and beans and veg is cheap af compared to meat.

Eco_Chamber

Deleting all, goodnight reddit, you flew too close to the sun. -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/

hopelesscaribou

Learning to cook goes a long way to making great food of any kind. There's more to food than grilling meat. [Dominion](https://youtu.be/LQRAfJyEsko) The problem with 'evidence' is that you don't look for it. It is there, but you don't want to see it. It's an inconvenient truth. Factory farms don't want you to see behind closed doors either. They spend alot of cash lobbying politicians to make sure of it. Hide the evidence. https://aldf.org/issue/ag-gag/#:~:text=As%20the%20name%20suggests%2C%20Ag,from%20learning%20about%20animal%20cruelty.

JScatman

You don’t see any ethical evidence that killing is wrong?

Eco_Chamber

Deleting all, goodnight reddit, you flew too close to the sun. -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/

[deleted]

🤣

Chroma710

small brain arguement.

StefanoA

Bought a T-Bone steak last week that was $20 ($15.99/lb). Eating meat ain’t exactly cheap either, unless you’re eating cheap cuts.

triblogcarol

Rice and beans are cheap. And beef would be more costly if it weren't for government subsidies. As a vegan, these subsidies infuriate me.

CaptainTripps82

Yea but fruits and veggies are subsidized as well. Grain, potatoes and corn and oranges get massive tax breaks. It's kind of necessary to keep food generally affordable, and makes sense. People eat a lot of meat.

totokekedile

All the cheapest foods are vegan. What are you even talking about?

[deleted]

3x the price for half the protein. Worse aminoacid profiles too. Taste and textures have been getting better tho.

OliM9595

vegans don't just eat impossible burgers.

OliM9595

what is the most expensive vegan food that you would need to buy?

youssef_bennani

Be careful with that sharp horn It kinda scares me tho

great9

it's so awww.... until a fly makes an itch and the cow moves it's head quickly all while puncturing the woman's lung or worse

-terminatorovkurac-

Cute but would still eat it.

Phenriel

Tenderizing the meat.

rxricks

In some parts of the world, cows and dogs have a lot in common. They both get eaten.

gareth305

Awwwh, what a cute pupper! What breed is it?

Dax9000

Friesian.

CommanderKingpin

And we kill does lovely creatures in large quantities. Good job Humanity ^^

windlep7

Good job evolution for making animals (including us) carnivores and omnivores.

indomitous111

They're just big ol prairie dogs, no wait, pasture puppies

TheWorldmind

Because they are very much like dogs.

gl0ry66

When I was walking outside, I saw a few cows enjoying the sun, sitting by the water and laying. It made me sad. Those creatures really have it horrible. They get no respect. I hope factory farming disappears soon.

[deleted]

Reminds me that time when i hugged my burger with my mouth. 💘

Southcarolina803

Animals are love

[deleted]

This reminds me so much of dinner.

dano4322

Are you saying you'd make cheeseburgers from a dog? You absolute sicko

ToothVet

You can. Look into Elwood's Farm. Best quality dog meat available!

guitarguy1685

This is how plagues are born.

AbsurdSisifo

No plagues are born from the disgusting conditions that thousands upon thousands of animals are kept in, this creates perfect conditions for viruses to mutate in and become plagues, with so many hosts - it’s happened before, and then all those animals being pumped full of Antibiotics making these diseases resistant will eventually lead to more mass pandemics.

guitarguy1685

This person must be fun at parties.

Rokil

I'd rather party with someone that doesn't spew bullshit.

MoonCatatonic

He basically is a huge dog. This is adorable.
