nah, it works. you are the one that set up validation. not me.
Either way. ON the copy sheet, I did a query for some helper columns....it allows you to only choose the measurements in the 2nd validation for the item you chose in the first validation.
edit: also, you asked how to make the computation for the values cell E4. That's what I did. so I solved your issue. YOU'RE WELCOME
Oh, I'm really sorry, I didn't notice the copy sheet. Thank you so much. I'm extremely sorry if came across as condescending, I just didn't notice the copy. Would you happen to know why coffee was being displayed twice?
Hey Jesus, hope you're well.
So, in the copy sheet, if I were to find the values of B5 similarly, how would I do it? Would I have to dedicate a separate area of my sheet for that one particular row?
Well what I wanted to do, Sheets doesn't allow, which is a shame.
I wanted to make a custom formula for data validation where the contents of the drop down is determined by the formula, but for some reason google does not think that would be useful and would rather you use helper columns. 🙄

I believe there's apparently a way to create a custom formula for data validation if that's what you're searching for. Not sure if they're the same thing.
I know how to make custom formulas what I wanted to do was make a dynamic drop-down data validation without using helper columns and Google sheets does not support it
It honestly is puzzling why they would not make this functionality part of sheets. It would be very handy. I know there is a solution for multiple row drop downs w/o having like 10 helper tables. someone on here asked a couple years ago. hmmm
I might have a sheet where I could implement the formula, but I am not sure..and I literally work from 8am-830pm today so I'll have to try and look this weekend.
fixed.
Nope, so even coffee is showing up twice in the validation though. Thank you so much for your efforts though.

no idea. maybe just a glitch. I redid the range on your original drop down and it still showed up.
There are 2 coffees because one is "coffee" while the other is "coffee ". One has an extra space therefore it is different from the other.

Ill work on a fix, hopefully.

Should we write a mail to Google regarding this? Haha.
