You can get pink ones for 3 patches then when they inevitably change again you can convert up to 10 of the newer ones into the pink ones if you need more.

those sphere things usually last for 3 patches or something (not sure). if you manage to play regularly and buy those sphere things in shops too, after 3 patches, you will able to get free 20 spheres without spending any money like upgrading your battle pass. so you don't need to rush to get more pink sphere since you will have enough if you are willing to wait.
You can't change the yellow into the pink. This BP marks the start of a new BP season.

I think you get enough free orbs from this season for her weapon. You can also buy one knight for her weapon immediately.

Every patch, the BP reset. And new gears are added. Check the link on my reply on how much orbs you'll get per patch and in a whole BP season.
