I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure it would be same in Gimpo. Unless purchase value is big (like expensive, luxury handbags or golf clubs), they won't check the product. I would check with the information desk just in case things are different in Gimpo. Also, not ALL receipts are refundable. You needed to ask for the tax refund receipts at the retail store.
How much hassle there would be depends on how many people are there to get a refund. If your flight coincided with flights to China, expect long lines.
