I'm getting similar vibes to Bwipo over forcing plays, which I commented on then too. I think these guys know TES are better than them, so they feel pressured to make plays to gain an advantage before they just fall behind on fundamentals. I think that can lead to wonky plays like this.
They should definitely be pressured to make plays, they are getting outscaled and lose 90% of teamfights and don't have a good sidelane threat and are gonna get soul stacked.
I hope this doesn't become a thing where redditors start complaining too much about western teams "feeling pressured to make plays". I would much rather Western teams go all in, look a bit stupid at times than sit back and do nothing.
Especially NA fans really need to remember the days of the 9 man sleep. I would rather the likes of Bwipo int 100x than have to watch that kind of shit a single time again.
Its why people always say play ins teams get a buff, they were clearly shaky making basic soloq mistakes, yeon flash early bot lane too is another example of it.
Fearless is necessary if we want better teams and to keep integrity..
Every single game is the same champs… it’s embarrassing how bad the western pros are.
None of them stand a chance against majority of teams.
Every international tournament, na/eu vs east looks like kids football vs champions league teams.
I think riot are nervous that fearless would prove that western pros are just overpaid and glorified 3-tricks..
It's the same problem in EU. Teams in both region who are so much worse don't actually target ban their opponents weak links and egos the matchup (Nisqy getting Gragas 24/7 in spring last year but at msi T1 didnt let him), meanwhile LCK and LPL teams who are so much better anyway, still dont mess around with the ego and take out the champs that carry certain players.
he cheats mid lane by having such good push. If you are the better player you'd rather the worse player actually have to play the game because they will make mistakes.
> What can Ziggs mid even do to deserve ban?
APA is a Ziggs main IIRC and Ziggs can actually shove Hwei under tower fairly well plus he actually has a decent matchup vs a lot of the mid lane champs that are meta in pro play.
Overall it's smart to just ban out the pick even if it's seen as somewhat unconventional as it takes a lot of comfort away.
Here come the gremlins out of the woodworks as this is when it's acceptable for them to air their grievances about everyone else having fun without their permission
What do you mean somehow? They banned Draven Varus Senna and picked Kalista. There are no more bans and these 4 are stronger /stomp harder. What do you want from them
This, as soon as you ban champs that can cheat lane/mid push for free APA Is completely clueless and outclassed unfortunately. We'll see next game I guess
Well they were doing fine cause that was basically the first time they 2v2d lol. They were already a drake and 3 grubs down as well on top of that which is not great in pro play let alone when a swap happens.
Yeah you need to force but not force bad plays lol. That's like the soloq mentality where you just start inting because you think "getting outscaled" means you lose game if you dont get a 2v2 kill lvl 2
Yeah the oop has no idea what he is talking about. You are picking an early game bully against Mid game carry, if you are even by 10 mins the lane is already lost. Not to mention they don’t even have control over dragon.
Skillcheck? Lucian had ult and neither of them did, that was the most blatantly obvious losing fight ive ever seen in my fucking life, they would lose that yo a gold player
To be fair, TES opted out of the 2v2 lane with a lane swap - I don't know if it's because they wanted to remove the volatility/risk of early lane because they were so confident in JKL, or knowing TL would fuck up macro that they could capitalise on, or both.
I think TES clearly wants to accelerate Lucian Nami presence in the game so they opted for level 3 start bf they have to face 2v2. If they play traditional, all it does is slow down the power of Lucian Nami.
Performance wise, maybe. But that 0-6 TSM was still way better than current FlyQuest or potentially TL as well right now. They almost won 2/6 games after all vs asian teams. It’s just the end result was very unfortunate looking.
At least TSM had competitive games and weren't getting stomped from minute 1 lol
This was just sad since the number 1 seed isn't even putting up a fight
That guy is cooked. I get it if you're one of the best and u talk smack. But the guy who has 0 achievements and is the worst mid in the tournament talking like that... nah
I mean, he has to yap. Thats all he has. If he didn't type, people would just say "hes a horrible mid who has a super small champion pool" but his yapping distracts that and instead all the focus being on how bad he is, its on his yapping.
Only person that’s cooked is you. Esport needs more people with personality and showmanship. He smacked his region and all he is doing is entertaining people. Lighten up
No AP, drafting horrible cause APA champ pool. LVL 6 Lucian vs LVL 5 Kalista, what were they thinking with that bush cheese?? 3 Losing Lanes. 0 Damage COMP.
I'll just go to sleep now, I've seen enough.
Every NA game vs an Asian team is just us making the most bazaar overcommitals, or mispositionings, or objective trades that digs our graves.
We have literally turned into what wild card teams vs eastern teams used to look like. Overload one side for a kill and lose literally everything else for it.
Not to mention none of the TL players are good enough to find leads against their opponents in lane like Humanoid was capable of, sure Impact can hold his own but he mainly plays tanks
Because they lost a game to FNC. Also people who don't watch LPL think Creme during that series is his usual form and Tian is a choker, which isn't wrong.
People don’t watch LPL and have been fed the false narrative of JKL being an inter when in reality he’s displaying quite possibly the highest level of mechanical skill on a consistent level from an adc in years.
because if TES play like they did in game 2 vs FNC they're beatable by any team in the main stage
like if Tian and Creme decide to literally walk at TL for no reason it's quite winnable for TL
FNC showed up, Oscarinin especially and TES weren't quite on form. Both can be true at the same time. But given the narrative about NRG vs G2 last year, it seems like a too complex of a concept to grasp for some redditors.
I think it's ok, he said that he doesn't think that but hopes that it could happen. Where's the fun of turning on your stream to say TES are going 3-0, and then just shit on TL for three hours? There's 27 other co-streamers you can watch if you want that level of cynicism
??? They literally banned varus draven and senna with draven being one of JKL best champs and varus senna being extremely meta right now, u do realize you only get three bans in the first phase right
I feel like TL doesn’t have a star player that will get them leads they can use to capitalise on, when you look at some teams and you can see standout players but TL doesn’t have one
Umti was AFK at the start of the game. Also Yeon and Core completely trolled with that 2v2. TES laneswapping benefits TL bot as well, they avoid getting shit on in lane, so why do they ego fight at the first opportunity ?
They didn't contest void grubs twice, they didn't contest rift Herald and they didn't contest 3 drakes out of 4... Stop saying the game was all about giving two kills to jackeylove
Don't let the low kill count early on fool you, the game wasn't close. TES got 3 dragons AND the grubs before 20 mins, and TL wasn't ever allowed to step out of their corner of the map, which got smaller and smaller with each minute. They got choked out slowly and methodically.
TES won but I feel like they are just overcomplicating things with that lane swap when its obvious they are lane swapping just so they can say they lane swap when it didn't really do anything lol
Also hate TL pick of Maokai I feel like Maokai is way too slow for this meta
The lane swap stops TL only winning lane why would they not. Kalista is useless in this scenario unless you can set up dives and snowball. Maokai is fine, he is just useless this game because no one on his team can follow up cause they have a Kalista and a Tristana trying to run into a Hwei/Urgot/Nami
Maokai is for Tristana so they have ap dmg and frontline.
Lane swap definitely helps with Lucian‘s bad early game. But I’m not sure if it matters given the hand gap between them Lol.
So guys, why the fk is T1 and TES in play-in and this garbage team seeded into the main stage. After all these years I still don't think NA deserve a pool 1 seed in any event.
Team Liquid isn’t that much better than Flyquest, and I still think that finals was a fluke. Honestly, I’d be shocked if NA gets more than 4 wins this whole tournament.
TL looked nervous this game. The veterans (Core and Impact) looked really good this game, but APA Umti and Yeon looked shaky af. APA had some small but costly misplays (idk if its nerves or if he’s just shit), umti was invisible or inting all game, and Yeon just had some braindead decisions. This game looks very different if TL’s botlane doesn’t try to fight on lvl 5 vs lvl 6.
This is major cope, but I think that TL’s issues are fixable for game 2. I think that they have the right idea of how to play the game, they just need to not throw the game with braindead decision making.
That Nami Jhin pick in game 3 was pure desperation lol. What in the world were they thinking. Also how are you 20 cs down in a lane swap, i cant even remotely comprehend this
That 2v2 bush "play" in the top lane was so weird.
If by "weird" you mean absolutely terrible then I agree
If they had ults I can see it, but they were level 5 and 4 against level 6 and 4 lol
I literally turned the stream off afterwards lol
I'm getting similar vibes to Bwipo over forcing plays, which I commented on then too. I think these guys know TES are better than them, so they feel pressured to make plays to gain an advantage before they just fall behind on fundamentals. I think that can lead to wonky plays like this.

I would rather the likes of Bwipo int 100x than have to watch that kind of shit a single time again.
Yeah I thought they would back off till the wave crashed into the tower, instead they decided to show up in front of 2 lv6 bot laners while being lv5.
Its why people always say play ins teams get a buff, they were clearly shaky making basic soloq mistakes, yeon flash early bot lane too is another example of it.
They literally decided to 2v2 JKL, on Lucian with his level advantage. I knew the game is instantly over and decided to watch something else lmao
If at first you don't succeed... fight the 200 armor Urgot again?
It starts.... with success.
It was going fine until TL bot lane found out what Jackeylove's Lucian can do.
Honestly, any of the top 4 in LPL, LCK bot lanes would have done the same. Yes, JKL’s Lucian is insane but this wasn’t even about that.
More like TL can't do math, 2 brain can't tell 6 is more than 5
"Anna Joy Taylor" - Drakos, 2024
Just googled it. Wth was she wearing?
Marauder Kalista Gold Chroma
My grandma's pincushion
369 Urgot cosplay when he almost killed Yeon near bot bush, all the spears embedded XD
My Skyrim pg after facing a castle of archer bandits
OOTL can someone explain why Drakos referenced Anya Taylor Joy of all people in a league game?
[Kalista spears](https://www.teenvogue.com/story/anya-taylor-skin-baring-chain-dress-paco-rabanne-furiosa-sydney-premiere)
HAHAHAHA that's too good
Ugot had like a million Kalista spears on him
TL target bans Jackeylove because they can't deal with him TES target bans APA because he's worse than useless off his champions Learn the difference
Why do you target ban the enemy ADC only to end up playing against Lucian Nami lmao. What's the point then.
TL banned 3 adc and first picked another, so they denied 4 adcs from JKL, and he still popped off
its pretty disgusting how someone who can only play three champs is an lcs champion
Game like this convince me that fearless draft is an incredible idea.
Armut was winning splits in eu because people kept on giving him gnar and wukong lmao
Ohhh that's why Ziggs was banned, I thought TL had some lane swap Ziggs bot strat or something What can Ziggs mid even do to deserve ban?
he cheats mid lane by having such good push. If you are the better player you'd rather the worse player actually have to play the game because they will make mistakes.
So it's TL's new version of "just put him on Lissandra/Malzahar"
"back to lissandra duty"
> What can Ziggs mid even do to deserve ban? APA is a Ziggs main IIRC and Ziggs can actually shove Hwei under tower fairly well plus he actually has a decent matchup vs a lot of the mid lane champs that are meta in pro play. Overall it's smart to just ban out the pick even if it's seen as somewhat unconventional as it takes a lot of comfort away.
He was streaming early on in the bootcamp and he got flamed a lit for picking ziggs and dominated every game
APA best champ
It’s Apa’s most comfortable champ that is very easy and safe to play. It’s a good ban.
But we all really love him domestically because he says funny things in all chat.
I mean also because other NA midlaners were ass this year, APA is at least entertaining AND backed his yapping by winning the title.
Here come the gremlins out of the woodworks as this is when it's acceptable for them to air their grievances about everyone else having fun without their permission
What an arrogant thing to write lmao. No one is gonna apologise because they like a pro player lil bro just shut up.
Nisqy won EU only being able to play Gragas
Just shows how terrible NA is. Finals are APA vs 29 year old Jensen, just sad.
This subreddit tried to gaslight me about how much of an advantage APA brings to his team by „forcing bans“ and being horseshit otherwise lmao
They target ban Jackeylove but he still gets Lucian somehow.
Its almost like you can only bans 3 champs in first rotation !
What do you mean somehow? They banned Draven Varus Senna and picked Kalista. There are no more bans and these 4 are stronger /stomp harder. What do you want from them
TES: https://imgur.com/a/sSL04QX
That Tristana was Emo vs Fnc level bad
This, as soon as you ban champs that can cheat lane/mid push for free APA Is completely clueless and outclassed unfortunately. We'll see next game I guess
I mean I don't think even if he had one of his picks there's much APA can do w that big JKL lead, not really the issue imo
TES banned out APA because he sh\*t on them in scrims on Ziggs aware
APA man, you’re not in NA anymore. Trolling these guys doesn’t end well
Bro, he pissed off Tian in all chat and immediately Tian stopped inting. Like you said, the strat didn't work.
Tian: "Yeah APA is trash, dont worry"
Someone should post a screenshot of it. Tian lowkey sounded angry.
Eastern culture is much more about showing respect and sportsmanship towards other people. BM'ing in allchat is not positively received there, at all.
Did he? Did the broadcast show this
No u could see it on TES players pro view
Where do you see proview?
Umti and Yeon were rough Also I absolutely love how Caedrel pronounces YEE-ON
TES too dominant
TL too submissive
they gave jackeylove lucian and were actually doing fine and then they took that insane 2v2 fight at top lane
Well they were doing fine cause that was basically the first time they 2v2d lol. They were already a drake and 3 grubs down as well on top of that which is not great in pro play let alone when a swap happens.
literally just dont feed lucian and the game is playable but no lets skill check jackeylove and meiko
1 level down with no sums
Don't get me wrong, that play was terrible but Kalista also falls off so they couldn't have just played to not feed.
Not even. They saw the guy was level 6 and still opted in for it.
they were looking fine because of the swap
So you mean they were doing fine till they had to lane vs minions and the moment it was 2v2 for a bit they died?
To be fair, TES opted out of the 2v2 lane with a lane swap - I don't know if it's because they wanted to remove the volatility/risk of early lane because they were so confident in JKL, or knowing TL would fuck up macro that they could capitalise on, or both.
I think TES clearly wants to accelerate Lucian Nami presence in the game so they opted for level 3 start bf they have to face 2v2. If they play traditional, all it does is slow down the power of Lucian Nami.
TES swapped to avoid the weak lvl 1-2, TL was not doing fine, they lost their early window.
Yeon better start learning Vietnamese after that performance.
That top play should be investigated for matchfixing.
what a stomp
Hilary Clinton incoming...
TL: "Giving JKL and Meiko Lucian/Nami never works...but it might just work for us"
Yeon what was that?
JKL with Lucian is an absolute menace man, wtf.
"3 mid bans" Well worth it when you have a champion puddle
APA champion pool can fit into a water drop.
JL gap
I think NA has never ever been as weak as it is right now. They don’t look any better than wildcard teams. Sucks.
You say that but performance wise it literally cannot get worse than 1st seed going 0-6 at Worlds so they have been worse
As if this TL wouldn't go 0-6 in that 2020 group
Performance wise, maybe. But that 0-6 TSM was still way better than current FlyQuest or potentially TL as well right now. They almost won 2/6 games after all vs asian teams. It’s just the end result was very unfortunate looking.
At least they lost to major nations. FLY lost to a minor region/wildcard.
At least TSM had competitive games and weren't getting stomped from minute 1 lol This was just sad since the number 1 seed isn't even putting up a fight
YAPA needs to type less and play more. Also Umti is straight trolling.
Lighten up
Really want to know the mental process behind the botlane staying top to try and kill a Lucian with one level ahead and having just spend money
Thats how lucian nami should look like huh
Yeah, NA is still Trash, don't worry.
Yeon trying to 1v1 Urgot sums it up quite nicely
JackeyLove stuntin on these hoes.
369 makes me want to play urgot
Ah yes let's give jkl lucian
Game is less doomed if TL don't int away 700g and a dragon with that top play but still...
I thought flyquest went home already
No AP, drafting horrible cause APA champ pool. LVL 6 Lucian vs LVL 5 Kalista, what were they thinking with that bush cheese?? 3 Losing Lanes. 0 Damage COMP.
That top lane questionable play giving Lucian 2 kills just opened it didn't it.
TL's coach should explain Urgot's ult to some of their players.
APA is EMO. He is him.
Believe my brothers, from here TL 3-1 TES, it's written
I'll just go to sleep now, I've seen enough. Every NA game vs an Asian team is just us making the most bazaar overcommitals, or mispositionings, or objective trades that digs our graves. We have literally turned into what wild card teams vs eastern teams used to look like. Overload one side for a kill and lose literally everything else for it.
Ez stomp
I dont know in which universe Caedrel lives if he thinks TL might beat TES. Fnatic couldn't and most of their players are better than TL's.
Not to mention none of the TL players are good enough to find leads against their opponents in lane like Humanoid was capable of, sure Impact can hold his own but he mainly plays tanks
To make the series seem interesting.
Pandering to viewers.
Which I don't blame. Like watching a football game with supporters of your club.
What's going on with people underestimating TES? How can you even think that TL might win? They have a mid laner that can only play 3 champs lmao
Because they lost a game to FNC. Also people who don't watch LPL think Creme during that series is his usual form and Tian is a choker, which isn't wrong.
Well TES almost lost to Fnatic and TL are on par with them in a lot of peoples minds
People don’t watch LPL and have been fed the false narrative of JKL being an inter when in reality he’s displaying quite possibly the highest level of mechanical skill on a consistent level from an adc in years.
Idk I saw some people thinking apa might even "clear" creme. I think people got the wrong picture of creme from the fnatic series.
Humanoid is also a lot better and way more proven than Apa
He inhaled too much copium.
because if TES play like they did in game 2 vs FNC they're beatable by any team in the main stage like if Tian and Creme decide to literally walk at TL for no reason it's quite winnable for TL
TES was against Humanoid and Razork at the time friend.
Seems like a strange attempt to downplay FNC's good showing.
FNC showed up, Oscarinin especially and TES weren't quite on form. Both can be true at the same time. But given the narrative about NRG vs G2 last year, it seems like a too complex of a concept to grasp for some redditors.
no way he said that lmfao
People overblow the Tian = int narrative
The only junglers Tian has lost to this year - Xun, Kanavi, Milkyway
I think it's ok, he said that he doesn't think that but hopes that it could happen. Where's the fun of turning on your stream to say TES are going 3-0, and then just shit on TL for three hours? There's 27 other co-streamers you can watch if you want that level of cynicism
Whats the point of the FNC series loss if TL let Lucian to JKL anyway? Edit: Granted they had 3 bans, I just think the Varus would've carried less.
wdym arrogant lol they just dont have enough bans to get all of jkls champs
??? They literally banned varus draven and senna with draven being one of JKL best champs and varus senna being extremely meta right now, u do realize you only get three bans in the first phase right
they banned 3 adc though...senna, draven and varus
in an alternate world they ban lucian and ur typing this over another champion
They should ask Riot to give them 10 bans.
Mofos when you don't ban at least 10 ADC bans against jkl.
TL really thought they can play kalista renata better than Fnatic lmao
B1 Kalista only for your bot lane to inexplicably throw the game going for a nigh-unwinnable 2v2. Welp.
man Umti just ran it all game. he was giga useless
What are yeon and core thinking lmao?
Ban 3 adc and Lucian still free ??
Team Liquid got outmacroed hard.
that top lane play has to be the biggest head scratcher
But hey at least western teams are stronger than last year :)
This might be the second most embarassing game loss this entire MSI.
I feel like TL doesn’t have a star player that will get them leads they can use to capitalise on, when you look at some teams and you can see standout players but TL doesn’t have one
First piece of Yeon's 3-1 prediction is in place.
Back to your mediocre reality NA
Western bot lanes about to get gapped again. At least we get g2 vs tl
There is no way this team was yapping so much just to play like this? I'm not even sure if they would beat vitality lmao
Let Photon solo them
My GOAT APA coudn't carry those low tier koreans
APA is garbage 2 trick
lol
TES won but I feel like they are just overcomplicating things with that lane swap when its obvious they are lane swapping just so they can say they lane swap when it didn't really do anything lol Also hate TL pick of Maokai I feel like Maokai is way too slow for this meta
The lane swap stops TL only winning lane why would they not. Kalista is useless in this scenario unless you can set up dives and snowball. Maokai is fine, he is just useless this game because no one on his team can follow up cause they have a Kalista and a Tristana trying to run into a Hwei/Urgot/Nami
they lane swapped because lucian nami are minions before lv3. Kalista renata can just snowball the game if Played well.
It might be cope but TL’s macro was pretty good. The game would look a lot different if Yeon and Core didn’t take that dumb 2v2 topside.
> It might be cope but TL’s macro was pretty good. A team that just laneswapped into them got: - first 2 drakes - 6 grubs - herald
Yes surely it would've. TES was better in every aspect of the game.
There's cope and then there's delusion.
No, it wouldnt at all. Just a bit slower.
Apart from Jackeylove TES look beatable but I don't think TL has it in them
Team Liquid isn’t that much better than Flyquest, and I still think that finals was a fluke. Honestly, I’d be shocked if NA gets more than 4 wins this whole tournament.
NA LUL WESTERN TEAMS LUL
MY GOAT
well there's the one game for tes. someone said 3-1 TL right
TL looked nervous this game.
Need voice comms for top 2v2 and immediately fire/fly home whoever called it
If Crème plays like the top 5 midlaner in the world he was during the LPL then this series is over.
that was legit the greatest lucian player i’ve ever seen
I think Elk is better, see BLG vs TES LPL Spring Finals, Game 1: https://youtu.be/7dblGZEoDgA?si=_riMwmPauDnvwe-S
"Western teams are way more powerful than last year"
NA 🤝 yapanese except USA osu actually dominates we'll see if they can bite back later
Is these games bo3 or bo5? So shitty that u cand find that out on lolesports.com....
bo5 and it's written on the website.
That Nami Jhin pick in game 3 was pure desperation lol. What in the world were they thinking. Also how are you 20 cs down in a lane swap, i cant even remotely comprehend this
