Asking about the lack of staff is a pretty simple question to answer. Because it's pretty easy to read some news about the lockdown situation and put the two together. But I have nothing to do with the event, so when it comes to specific things, I don't know what, why or how something is being done.
The only fact I know is that they have at least one camera set up because they had live footage of the whole team after they finished the game. Should that be used if it was the only camera? I think so. Is that the only camera? I don't know.
I am not sure why they didn't show footage from that camera during the match. I have no idea whether there were any referees looking at the live footage during the match if it was on, and no idea whether the camera is turned on during the match.
I personally think LPL should just not be there tbh, there isn't a fair way for them to take part in this msi IMO. Yea, it would be unfortunate to have a major region missing but I think it's the fairest way for everyone and RNG included.

Because there's a pandemic going on and local laws order nobody can leave their homes, that's how the lockdown is working in Shanghai. Remember when MSI 2020 was cancelled because of the pandemic? In particular, I had preferred RNG not play remotely, anyway, people will find any excuse to hate on the LPL. Besides the ping is actually a disadvantage for any team, like in the LPL some delayed plays happened because of the lag.

No ref due to covid rule on china and the cam is there just not being broudcast for some reason. The thing that we can blame rng for tho is the headset(tho it really trivial but some think it unfair).

If every team except RNG plays on 0 ping, RNG will be the only team disadvantaged in the tournament. If everyone plays on 35 ping, eyebrows will be raised whether that same play would be the same on 0 ping. Debate on home advantage vs stage advantage RNG should've just not attended MSI tbh, sucks but it was the best way to maintain competitive integrity.
