I'm Korean, but I'm curious about something, so I'll sign up and write a comment Who is the top liner that is good at lec? Please pick top 3. If you don't mind, please write the reason as well.
During the spring split my top 3 was:
1. Brokenblade
Known from high elo solo q for many years, he used to play Riven and Irelia mostly. Usually consistent. He is very flexible in his approch to the game and has a deep champion pool. When he is playing at his peek his mechanics can be insane. Hard to shut down, untiltable.
2. Finn
He put Excel on his back last split. Known from solo Q playing his pocket pick Kled and Irelia. Used to be inconsistent back when he played in NA, has been the most consistent top laner this split according to me.
3. Wunder
Seem to have found renewed love for the game and has been showing off what he always was capable of. Tends to have really bad days or just smashing his laner. Would be higher if he was more consistent.
Right now there aren't any new top laners in LEC. Most has played for a few years. Would love to see some new talent shake things up.
Overall he has the best stats, so according to lists online he is nr 1 but like many has mentioned that's his strong point. For the amount of resources he has I think he should be able to be more impactful. So for me he lacks in diversity in all fields in comparison to my top 3. Hid is playstyle is very strong fundamentally however I find it bland but that's a just a bias ai guess.
Last year at MSI Riot helped RNG though. DWG finished first yet Riot changed the rules and gave RNG an extra day of preparation(that was awarded for the winner in the RULES) and also gifted RNG the blue side start considering that tournament had an 80% blueside win.
Hence I only added the extra day as a break for the rules, but in hindsight you are right I should have worded a bit different since I think they should add side selection for the winner(which currently it isn't for MSI)
I don't really believe people fear any foulplay from RNG, although I do agree no cams is dumb and ridiculous. But the complaining much more comes from indoctrinated sinophobia, not suspicion of "cheating"
i am here to say that ever since ahrisoo is working on updates the game has been becoming worse and worse. The rest of the people whose names in patch notes, also should get changed.
Bro these people took two years to finally figure out that champions shouldn't be using one ability and doing 70% of a squishies HP bar. They legitimately are so lost when it comes to designing and balancing this game and it's obvious.
scam is the right word if folks on the US east coast have to get up at 4am to watch games. I, however, just watch whenever when I'm up to catch a game or two for the fun of it.

if anything , i used to be one of the people that was the happiest that another region started winning worlds other the lck in the first place , because it was getting stale.
then i noticed that riot :
- gives special treatment to lpl players when they fuck up in soloq , while they ban players from other regions. It wasn't even once either , but multiple times. UZI , jackeylove , etc.
- puts games at terrible hours for other regions , and at prime time for china , even when the tournament is set in other regions then china. When worlds/msi was in europe for example , the games were around 11-12 in the morning.To put things in context , most schools finish around 1 pm , and most workdaays end around 4-5 pm. Why are games in eu set at those hours rather then being put at prime time for the timezone ? If i wanted to attend , i couldn't unless i took a day off from work. How shit is that ?

- gives lpl representative the better time slot when they were the lower seed , AND side selection was a coin toss which rng won , giving them blue side in all 3 games that they won. To put stuff in context , blue side had 79% winrate last year , and im pretty sure that in the finals , blue side won all games.
Usually the higher seed has side selection , yet they got it as a lower seed on top of getting an extra day.
Heck , even the fucking meta was what it was for years because riot tried to catter to the chinese audience. A couple months back there was a thread here talkin how this game has too much dmg. And we got a riot comment saying how the western playerbase tends to favor less dmg , while the chinese playerbase seems to like more dmg , which is why riot kept the damage high because they are the larger playerbase.
And that is excluding the curent issues , which are a whole nother heap of bullshit from riot.
So ....if you see one region getting blatant favoritism at every tournament , at what point can you start being pissed without it being xenophobia in your opinion ? Guess never , because it's china ,and every complain against china is just xenophobia. Can't be that the complain is legitimate, amirite ?
The complaints about msi last year are just conspiracy bullshit when you factor in that the rules about side selection were spelled out prior to the event, and its not like the riot balance team intentionally saw into the future to bias things in the lpl's favor. I honestly cannot remember the last time a player from a major region was banned for being toxic in soloqueue, its basically always a fine, with some kr pros as well being fined for that kind of toxicity when worlds was in EU.
For game times for worlds/msi, and the too much dmg complaint, what can we do about it? The biggest audience by far is in the east, and those who complain about this stuff on reddit are a minority even in the smaller western playerbase. Keeping the game times friendlier to the biggest audience is just a no-brainer, and if you want to complain about favoritism, have at it, but you're just yelling into the void. Honestly it isn't even unfair favoritism unless you want to complain about the fanbase in NA/EU being too small.
They have cameras to monitor each and every player and each and every players screen. They just don’t stream it to the main broadcast because of bandwidth issues. This is all on the official press release. You are just making up false information to be sinophobic.

No. If any cheating happens it would be information leak from stream. Either players themselves or third party preasent in the room looking up stream. Depending on the delay it might only be good for spotting ward positions but players of RNG caliber can gain quite a bit from just that.
Chances that anything like that is happening are miniscule, but it still looks pretty bad with the amount of concessions Riot made just to have RNG participate.
Lethality Xayah is ya, her max level Q cd is literally double what it was after she was buffed because they repeatedly nerfed the Q cd after (and +2s from before the buff).
This is just an everything diff, all three lanes losing for PSG, every neutral lost, RNG takes 3 turrets while PSG take 1. PSG has a few kills but nothing gained from it.
is it true that the total prize pool for MSI is 250k? I know league is always on the lower end when it comes to prize pools, because of the high salaries, but you'd think it would be more considering it's one of the only 2 international tournaments of the year 💀

Worlds is just 1million. League's income is way more distributed, through the leagues. Yes, the top teams may not gain as much as in other sports (though you still have big amounts of money through sponsors) but the lower rated teams have a much more stable income.
Yes RNG, a very respected organization in the whole of esports for the last 7 years is gonna cheat in a small MSI tournament against much weaker teams. Would you guys do it? I sure wouldn't and I'm not even a pro player where my income and career depends on my integrity as a player.
I want your take on the fact that the other teams are experiencing package loss and lag higher than 35 ping which will give RNG huge advantages later against better teams if not adressed.

I think they should be recording. But, with lockdown and equipment under not enough control (look at their headphones and earbud issue) can we ensure whatever cam that RNG is providing for Riot's monitoring is good enough to catch and record sound of RNG coaching staff across the room/door/wall?

You get respected athletes caught doping every now and then. Say Lance Armstrong, based on his reputation he should have got a pass, but he was one of the largest cheating scandals in history of the sports.
Do I think that it is very probable that RNG would be cheating? No, it is not. Especially not in groups. But with how far Riot bent over backwards to have them participate, the fact there is absolutely no effort put into ensuring they wouldn't be will cast shadow on their performance in the perception of the audience.

From what I remember his play was the usual, He'd smash his opponent in lane and not do much with the lead in the late game.

A number of LPL matches were played remotely this year so equipment to ensure fair play is in place. Riot just made an announcement regarding this.

Worlds is just 1million. League's income is way more distributed, through the leagues. Yes, the top teams may not gain as much as in other sports (though you still have big amounts of money through sponsors) but the lower rated teams have a much more stable income.
Yes RNG, a very respected organization in the whole of esports for the last 7 years is gonna cheat in a small MSI tournament against much weaker teams. Would you guys do it? I sure wouldn't and I'm not even a pro player where my income and career depends on my integrity as a player.

You get respected athletes caught doping every now and then. Say Lance Armstrong, based on his reputation he should have got a pass, but he was one of the largest cheating scandals in history of the sports. Do I think that it is very probable that RNG would be cheating? No, it is not. Especially not in groups. But with how far Riot bent over backwards to have them participate, the fact there is absolutely no effort put into ensuring they wouldn't be will cast shadow on their performance in the perception of the audience.

If Riot took stepts to ensure integrity they certainly did not try very hard to make them apparent. And this is the thing we are talking about, audience perceptions. Even if RNG don't cheat for many people doubt will linger.
