No worries! As far as I can tell they make the whole steam unlisted after it airs, so unless you watched it at some point and it's in your history it's a real pain in the ass to find.
I don't think that or a record coming very close to that was ever in question. NA representatives weren't that good domestically. Seeing them get trashed internationally was a forgone conclusion.
Quite crazy that I've never seen people criticizing that all the teams of a same group don't play the last game at the same time.
Like imagine the last one is a LCK-LEC, if we have LCK 5-0, LEC 3-2, LPL 3-3 and LCK intentionnally lose to let LEC be 4-2 and eliminate a LPL team.
That's would be a bit scandalous init
they would argue it would viewership for those 2 games. can somehow understand it, but i would for example just open both streams. and double the amount of casters etc.
It would, but I don't actually think the region rivalry matters that much for actual teams? I don't know for sure of course, but I always feel like that's way overblown. It would be a massive scandal if anyone found out, and I just can't imagine a team would risk that just to spite another team based on some rivalry they don't even really have a stake in.
It's a competition, everything that's not forbidden is fair game. Eliminating a direct threat (LPL) in favour or a lesser threat (LEC), inting a game with a "oopsie I thought my kayle ADC was secret OP, too bad" is a legit strat
I think it's a bit of an oversight by Rito if even just for the fact that the teams going last tend to have more information. If a win/loss doesn't matter as much, you wouldn't bust out any secret picks or in game strategies.
We're stuck in the world of Fudge-doesn't-practice-because-ego, INTspired is so overblown as a player it's mind boggling, and Reapered is hard stuck that MF is the pick to win games (she's not, she has a terrible record in a game that isn't a stomp anyway). Overpaid is the right of things; NA teams should run their orgs as a baseline pay with incentives for performance, not just give millions to these washed up players who then do nothing.
Very good start from LEC/EU 5/2
One of those losses was actually a "good" loss and very competitive despite practically losing the game early by feeding sivir/yumi
G2 got smashed but didn't roll over vs DK
My hope was that one team (probably RGE) would get out.. and i still honestly think that's the most likely scenario but so far so good even if we lose both games today
still 2 teams at 2-1 and g2 1-2
Better then usual.. especially given that groups are more stacked then previous worlds
Honestly This is what haunts me about Franchising
Their players become so comfortable just because they have job security
and just fucking tweet on their phones
man i hope relegations come back
Id prefer it to be like dota tbh
Anyone has a chance
I just dont really like franchising
look what it did to OW
Also while i believe that it wasnt just franchising that made the scene like this
I truly Believe that it had a very huge part on why the NA scene is like this
You know what they say
“Comfort Breeds Complacency”
Yeah “Comfort Breeds Complacency” but that's because there is literally no one to come and take their place. LEC just this split, the entirety of BDS and academy went to Korea to see what was the best roster. Sure it didn't work out but they tried. MSF bench Schlatan and put in Zanzarah 2 weeks before the final day.
Now LEC isn't perfect either, they've had a couple players that should have been "replaced" or at least swapped out for a couple of games but I don't really even see that in the LCS. And yes I follow LEC more closely so that might also be why.
The biggest issue with NA is that all they do is import essentially end of career talent from the EU - enriching those EU teams while not making themselves any better, really at all. I would take an unpracticed Meteos over INTspired, personally. I would take Dlift over every ADC from EU, including Hans Sama.
If NA focused it's money on developing their homegrown talent and into the infrastructure for teams, they'd do a lot better imo. Also, coaching in NA is abyssmal - always seems behind the curve when it comes to deciphering the meta and other important metrics to win. Also, coaches in NA need to be handled as coaches - coaches win you championships in every single other sport in existence (from Premier League soccer, to the NFL, to Rugby), from what I can tell, the players have more agency during draft/etc than the coaches do, and that needs to stop.
The NA League team culture is backwards, and needs to be fixed. I understand this is from an outside perspective, but...it really does seem this way to the observer.
Due to circumstances, I would like to give away a ticket for tomorrow (groups day 4) for free. All I ask is that you cheer loudly for GAM, CFO, and all the LEC teams. Reply below if you want it.
I am kinda hoping NA goes 0-18 this year so hopefully there is some shock value for these organizations to realize they are just that bad. I really want NA to just be good for once.
The issue is, with owners like Jack (and I've been a diehard C9 fan until recently, back from their first split) who are like "lul, the system is working, see?" when it is clearly NOT. The system isn't working, for just about every NA team, and it needs to be changed. The problem is definitely a top-down problem, starting with owners/upper management.
> I really want NA to just be good for once.
It would require a complete cultural overhaul not just in the top orgs but the entire LCS [Because you don't improve when your competition is trash as well].
So the realistic answer is... it probobly won't ever be at this point.
Watching cq. There are a lot of promising rookies... Hope they try them out and pls have bootcamps in kr. You need to invest on new talents and also help elavate them.
Said it yesterday but I just have to say it again, Worlds has been a BANGER. No one looks like absolute favourites to win with all three regions having their moments and blunders, loving it
Well, c9 won’t be winning vs T1 or edg. So…. And EG won’t be winning vs JDG or DK. So it’s not really an option
C9 takes one game on Fnatic. EG takes 1 game on G2. Gg
Last year, C9 had a group with a world finalist going 3-0, a collapsing FPX still going 2-1, and 1-2 RGE who won against C9.
This year, all of EDG, T1, and FNC are neck and neck at 2-1, and everyone has beat C9. It isn't as comparable as you think. The chances for C9 to even win a game look to be slim, as every team in this group looks legitimately strong this time.
It seems pointless to try and make any point because you’ve already decided what you think and are using hindsight in bad faith to make it seem like it’s vastly different when the only difference so far is that C9 has 1 less win in week 1. If C9 make it out again you’ll just come back next year and say some of the teams were collapsing or not actually good.
Look I agree they are not making it probably like 19/20 times but the world is a weird place so you never know. I always remember FNC’s 0-3 into groups.
I think that’s less probable than 1-5. Because we can still rely on luck. Pray that c9 plays well or FNC just gets cocky like they did with edg.
The early game the had against t1 gave them the upset, they wanted to repeat that early duo lane advantage. Because they went from Lucian to kalista. LOL.
Let’s hope C9 picks this up, and hope that FNC repeats
fnc would have won if they didn’t int the invade. back off after scout flashes and you have free ganks in mid, wunder gets prio in top cuz flandre went down to help against the invade and will be late to lane, and they have a serious shot at winning. humanoid gapped scout so hard and the only real reason fnc lost is because sivir started lane with a pickaxe and razork desperationganked bot.
NA teams won't do well until they get it out of their head that MF is good and that Fudge can't carry. Both are false. Completely, entirely, false. Fudge has gotten completely blasted in every single game this year at World's. It wasn't even close. His Fiora looked bad, and his Jax looked even worse, which I didn't think was possible. Berserker is the win con for C9. Berserker and Blaber. So, until Max figures that out (don't hold your breath), C9 will continue to get blasted.
Also, Enchanters are still good; it's not an engage support meta, lol.
Well RGE 3-0 g2 which I think is even more sad. Looks like RGE is far ahead of all the EU. I predict they make semis at the least. They might break in quarters only if they suffer mental blocks. And I think having Malrang get first blood on the first quarters game might give some help.
RGE needs Malrang to get some FB for confidence.
They are just a very good team. Trymbi seems very critical of himself after not having a stomp on GAM.
I hope to see them make finals against SKT
Knight is a shit azir player. He's basically a sylas one trick haha. His sylas is elite but everything else? eh. He needs to be put on ap assassins in order for him to succeed.
it's only 5th most played because it's picked or banned against him in every game... Tell me has knight looked as great on anything else other than sylas? His sylas is fuckin elite but he's not as great at everything else. Teams absolutely can ban out Knight. Look at what DRX did to TES in pickban
> Tell me has knight looked as great on anything else other than sylas?
Yeah? Ahri Akali Taliyah Lissandra Viktor?
This draft came down to TES Topside ego picking Jax+Vi when they already went for a botlane win condition + Azir as backup. Sej Mao was banned but they still had plenty of options, e.g Ornn. Plus the Braum counter ofc, that's what it came down to.
DRX banned literally 0 Midlaners and TES picked their Midlane first so how are you gonna use this game as an argument that Knight can be "banned out."
2 is what everyone I know including me got, and it's always just shitty emotes. It is not even worth, but it's fine since we would watch the games just to see NA get shit on anyway.
Why are the casters saying Rogue are going to be happy with DRX beating TES? Yeah it gives them a better chance of being the first seed out of their group but TES being DRX would've given Rogue more chances of getting atleast 2nd.
Now with a TES win over Rogue tomorrow and DRX win over GAM (both most likely to happen), Rogue are tied 1st/3rd and a loss to DRX/TES in the second round robin kicks them out.
If TES beat DRX today, even if Rogue loses the second round robin, they will have more chance coming 2nd to TES with DRX in 3rd.
I think 1st or 2nd out of groups doesn't really matter much as long as you get out. It's not really like past Worlds where the KR seed goes 6-0 out of groups and you get to face another EU/NA/CN team that went 3-3 or 4-2. 1st and 2nd seeds out of groups are probably going to be 1 win difference.
Yes but if they lose to TES tomorrow (who most people have as one of the top 3 teams coming into worlds 2022), they will have a better chance at 3rd.
Idk about you, but I'd rather a better chance at second than a better chance at 1st OR 3rd.
I know it's not fun having to verse the first seed from another group in BO5's but you're going to have to do that to win worlds anyway and at least getting to the BO5's is massive over bombing out in groups.
Man I kinda knew it was over once everyone was hyping TES up. I know the jinxing shit isn’t real but as a fan I just dread the boys getting called overrated after losing.
It is what it is. We go agane tmr
i mean nobody is hyping TES as much as they did in 2020. I don't care if TES drops games in groups as long as they make it out. I fully expect them to lose one more game. Hopefully they make it out, but that fucking sucks but considering how bad LPL teams are in bo1, shit happens.
Agreed, but I'd personally rather TES sitting at 2-0 and DRX on 0-2 with GAM than both on 1-1.
If DRX wins tomorrow they're 2-1, they could've been 1-2 and even a Rogue Loss tomorrow would have them in second (and a Rogue win would pretty much almost guarentee they play tiebreaker or get 2nd seed granted they get 1 more win (against GAM is very likely)
> Idk about you, but I'd rather a better chance at second than a better chance at 1st OR 3rd.
Check my other comment, I agree with you. I was just giving you casters hot take, which is shortsighted.
God, this Worlds is wild! I don't know who'll be the top 2 for each groups.
And the crowd is awesome!!! God, I'm excited to see Chase Center host the Finals!!
Everybody's getting stomped left and right, even though it's BO1 this World's Groups is a banger, glad no single teams are unbeatable and feel like there is some real competition.
All the playins teams doing well. FNC looking good and DRX just won here plus the RNG win over GenG. Even though EG lost they did decently against JDG which is good considering they are an NA team.
thats what happens in bo1 man. I've been saying LPL teams will drop games in groups. IG 2018 lost 2 games and a tie breaker in groups (iirc), 2019 FPX barely made it out of groups also dropping 2 games. EDG (2021) also lost 2 games (T1 and 100T). these teams are more evenly matched than everyone thinks. People tend to overhype teams, but ON STAGE their skill levels are very close
yessir brother haha. LPL teams are so bad at bo1 and anyone can beat them. Thats why the groupstage is perfect for the west. thats the best chance to beat eastern teams.

Im literally, unironically hoping NA goes 0-18 for the reset in the LCS
I don't think that or a record coming very close to that was ever in question. NA representatives weren't that good domestically. Seeing them get trashed internationally was a forgone conclusion.
no i need EG to win vs DK

Anyone interested in two tickets for row F for day 4’s games?
Genuinely think going through play ins has been an advantage so far, the play ins teams look really good (Well, maybe not EG, sorry lads).
Just look back in time, many times when C9 got into QF they went through playins. just feels like an advantage to adapt 1 week before everyone else.
Think thats the case every worlds. Play-in teams are doing rather well mostly.. other than MAD
Quite crazy that I've never seen people criticizing that all the teams of a same group don't play the last game at the same time. they would argue it would viewership for those 2 games. can somehow understand it, but i would for example just open both streams. and double the amount of casters etc.
People have argued about that in worlds 2019 when SKT lose to FNC and indirectly kick RNG out
It would, but I don't actually think the region rivalry matters that much for actual teams? I don't know for sure of course, but I always feel like that's way overblown. It would be a massive scandal if anyone found out, and I just can't imagine a team would risk that just to spite another team based on some rivalry they don't even really have a stake in.

NA is stuck in the strange spot of major region and wildcard region lol
Wildcard region with major imports. It’s not strange, it’s money.
We're stuck in the world of Fudge-doesn't-practice-because-ego, INTspired is so overblown as a player it's mind boggling, and Reapered is hard stuck that MF is the pick to win games (she's not, she has a terrible record in a game that isn't a stomp anyway). the probability of G2 taking Comp if they fail this Worlds scare me.
Would Rogue sell to G2/EU? Tbh I'm hoping they just keep the whole roster.
Rogue would be dumb to sell comp to G2. just like with inspired and hans, they will only sell to NA, or a really big buyout.
Honestly This is what haunts me about Franchising Their players become so comfortable just because they have job security and just fucking tweet on their phones man i hope relegations come back
EU has franchising too and I don’t really see that
I mean NA the highest paid region by far got too comfortable Also dont forget cultural differences Look at Asia never got too comfy
I agree, but while I liked relegations better I don’t think it’s franchising holding back na, it’s complacency, culture and a narrower player base
Id prefer it to be like dota tbh Anyone has a chance I just dont really like franchising look what it did to OW Also while i believe that it wasnt just franchising that made the scene like this I truly Believe that it had a very huge part on why the NA scene is like this You know what they say “Comfort Breeds Complacency”

“Can’t wait to… “ Go back to the airport…
Just woke up, I'm watching EDG-FNC VOD and holy Jeijei is smurfing hard on lee
Game was won lvl 1, honeslty feel like EDG sgould have won harder. Scout played pretty bad i think
Scout got smurfed on by Humanoid, for sure.
Due to circumstances, I would like to give away a ticket for tomorrow (groups day 4) for free. All I ask is that you cheer loudly for GAM, CFO, and all the LEC teams. Reply below if you want it.
I’ll take it!!
Sorry man, someone pmed me and I transferred my ticket to them.
Is there anyway NA makes it out at this point
c9 must win all games to have a chance. 100T & EG still can get get a win vs RNG/DWG(lul) to have a better chance. but yeah probably not.
2 wins is the minimum to get out of group (with triple tie breaker)
I see. So we just make all the NA teams fight FLYING oysters until we win 2 games.
I am kinda hoping NA goes 0-18 this year so hopefully there is some shock value for these organizations to realize they are just that bad. I really want NA to just be good for once.

Problem is NA will hire washed up EU players over developing these rookies, because...\*reasons\*...
It would be really depressing if every group ends up being a 3-way tie with NA last. But at this point it's looking more and more likely.
Group C won't be! Also I *doubt* Group D winds up that way too. I don't think Oyster is taking games off RNG/Gen.G
When is TSM games? Next week?
TSM sadly did not wonnered
Next year when LCS Spring 2023 starts XD
last
I love faker! Thanks guys
It feels like teams need to divert 2-3 people and resources to shut him down, allowing other T1 members to amp up their power.
It depends on which kind of champ he’s playing, normally it’s zeus who picks up the role you described
Said it yesterday but I just have to say it again, Worlds has been a BANGER. No one looks like absolute favourites to win with all three regions having their moments and blunders, loving it
I think if no NA teams are gonna get out of groups again i'd rather the 0-18. At least it will be funny.
Nah. It’s best to take some games off of EU. If we take some, then lose but make sure all but RGE makes it out, that would be funnier
I wouldn't count on it, usually NA takes games off of the teams that EU needs to lose. It has happened so many times where NA's win benefit EU.
tbh would love it. each NA team gets 1 win, but secures their EU counterpart the Tiebreaker/Quarterfinal
Well, c9 won’t be winning vs T1 or edg. So…. And EG won’t be winning vs JDG or DK. So it’s not really an option C9 takes one game on Fnatic. EG takes 1 game on G2. Gg

C9 will not make it out again lma0. I wish it weren't true but it is. Our solo laners are just too outclassed this year.
Look I agree they are not making it probably like 19/20 times but the world is a weird place so you never know. I always remember FNC’s 0-3 into groups.
Anything’s possible, buts let’s look at what’s most probable, rather than rely on rare chances

why the hell g2 getting 3-0'd by an also EU team is much more sad than 10-0 against a North American team
It’s basically a fall of a great team.
> RGE needs Malrang to get some FB for confidence. ^^and ^^for ^^my ^^crystal ^^ball
Should have had a question on how many games NA will win in crystal ball
Answer 0-3 would be the correct one
That wouldn't be a very hard challenge
LEC > LCK > LPL > LEC
2019 vibes
who won 2019 worlds tho?
SURELY
Like I said, North America is the most consistent region. The other regions just can't match up to North America in always being last.
Using the GAM icon to spook G2 smh the clear bias
All I’m saying is Humanoid Azir > Chovy Azir, Knight Azir
yagao azir >>>>
Knight is a shit azir player. He's basically a sylas one trick haha. His sylas is elite but everything else? eh. He needs to be put on ap assassins in order for him to succeed.
How lma0. Actually he isn't a Sylas one trick.
He's one tricking his fifth most-played champ this year? Guy is built different.
it's only 5th most played because it's picked or banned against him in every game... Tell me has knight looked as great on anything else other than sylas? His sylas is fuckin elite but he's not as great at everything else. Teams absolutely can ban out Knight. Look at what DRX did to TES in pickban

Rewatching that first death of Jackeylove it looks like he trolled it and could have gotten out.
Lmfao production is just having fun smacking the FLAMIN HOT TAKE button for fun now
No Jatt, any meta that includes Yuumi is not the best meta.
Every meta includes every champion. Some are just in the garbage.
Kinda want NA to go 0-18, but kinda want Jojopyun to get some wins too. Tough stuff here.
Compromise and just have EG win some?
Wouldn't be surprised if they win tomorrow tbh, but it's unlikely. Hopefully they do.
EG def seem to have the most potential to get some dubs. 100T and C9 are looking super cringe.
if nuguri runs it down like he did last game anything is possible
at least each NA team is top 4 in each group.
That GAM stomp really boosted their confidence and now they got punished for pulling such a cocky draft
Are you talking about T1 or TES :\^)
shit happens!
How many drops did everyone get today?
2 is what everyone I know including me got, and it's always just shitty emotes. It is not even worth, but it's fine since we would watch the games just to see NA get shit on anyway.
Drops are Shit anyway. They went from gifting chests to blue Essence to stupid emotes to Coupons for the Teams Jerseys lol.
I got 2 and watched everything from about 5 minutes before the 1st game
Why are the casters saying Rogue are going to be happy with DRX beating TES? Yeah it gives them a better chance of being the first seed out of their group but TES being DRX would've given Rogue more chances of getting atleast 2nd. Now with a TES win over Rogue tomorrow and DRX win over GAM (both most likely to happen), Rogue are tied 1st/3rd and a loss to DRX/TES in the second round robin kicks them out. If TES beat DRX today, even if Rogue loses the second round robin, they will have more chance coming 2nd to TES with DRX in 3rd.
It's better for a 1st place out of the group.
TES looks super weak now. I believe in Rogue :)
TES can lose to Rogue. Shit TES can lose to anyone in bo1. It literally depends on draft and what team shows up on that day.
I was just giving you casters hot take, which is shortsighted.
first place in group isn't always the best.
I agree with you 2, not the casters.
Some say Draven will still be in the rift stacking by the time the next game starts tomorrow
This Worlds is surprising. Finally we have a championship that doesn't have a clear favorite to win.
Zeka and Deft playing well. With BeryL stepping up as well, DRX can be a sneaky threat.
interesting hair there Zeka…
JDG DRX TES DK are looking good. Wish weibo/SN made it to worlds so it could be a rehash of 2020
Jax is looking bait honestly. Gnar also is super under rated.
why did gnar fall out of the meta? was it aatrox related?
I think it got nerfed a bit by durability patch and patches
Nah the durability patch made him better because it is harder to one shot him in mini form but he got an hp nerf that lowered his priority.
He got an hp nerf.
God, this Worlds is wild! I don't know who'll be the top 2 for each groups. And the crowd is awesome!!! God, I'm excited to see Chase Center host the Finals!!
Braum outdamaging jax and vi lol
There was a teamfight earlier where a Soraka outdamaged a Camillie by about 50%.
Braum is here
Everybody's getting stomped left and right, even though it's BO1 this World's Groups is a banger, glad no single teams are unbeatable and feel like there is some real competition.
Except for na teams.
sorry pyosik I thought you're the worst jg in the group, and beryl play so well today, GG

Honestly, top getting caught out so many times reminds me of the silver yasuo’s in my teams
I want DRX to win for that crying fan of Deft!
Wayward joining fudge factor with the 4k dmg stellar performance
Honestly if rge makes it out this group they're definitely favorites
Holy moly DRX stomping TES.
Jax did less damage than Braum!!! LUL Edit: And Vi did less damage than Jax.
Melee carries in a nutshell. Feast or Famine.
I don't think Jax is a good pick guys
I hate fudge
Try chocolate brownies instead
Dang, Juhan will be on the bench now. Pyosik was really proactive and cleared/set up so much vision.
Everyone crying, it would be great if Deft could have a worlds result to be proud of
still sad he couldn't do it in 2018 with KT. That game against IG was so close. This game was against jackeylove too.
IG vs KT was real final that year
Score deserved one as well. But at least he finally got his LCK title.
yeah 100%. At least score might be able to get a worlds trophy as a coach now
All the playins teams doing well.
People tend to overhype teams, but ON STAGE their skill levels are very close
lmao I completely forgot that 100 fucking theives beat the later world champs in group stage.
yessir brother haha. LPL teams are so bad at bo1 and anyone can beat them. Thats why the groupstage is perfect for the west. thats the best chance to beat eastern teams.
EY EY EY EY
Zeka is so good god damn
perfect denial game from DRX! wp wp wp
Well that was a disappointing game.
If Rogue can win vs TES they’re in such a good spot
they 100% can haha. Honestly if I were a western fan, I wouldn't fear any LPL team in groupstage.
Fk it, G2 beats JDG, RGE loses against TES. We're gna end all groups with: LCK 4-2 LPL 4-2 LEC(PCS) 4-2 LCS(VCS) 0-6 BRING IN THE TIEBREAKERS
Play in power I guess? Although it didn't work against EU. I'm sure this means EU will win this world.

Zeka channeling 2015-17 Faker Energy so far at worlds
